### 4/5 — Fantastic tool for beginners.

*2024-01-20, version 2.25*

Great little app to keep you motivated by letting you see your improvement from attempt to attempt, a must for beginners.

### 3/5 — Audible Timer Needed

*2023-09-19, version 2.25*

It would be great if there was an audible signal when time is up. Also having the app use the mic to count would be great.

### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2023-08-10, version 2.25*

Only given it 4 stars as it does not add up the chord changes for you if it did it would be perfect fora beginner like me and I would be happy to pay for it.

### 3/5 — Is the app still working?

*2022-10-25, version 2.25*

On a iPad, the app does not orientate itself and does not count correctly.

### 3/5 — Looked everywhere no android

*2021-11-22, version 2.25*

Really hate android but needed to find a dl and I guess there is none. Sad

### 3/5 — Repeats the same changes

*2021-09-20, version 2.25*

Repeats the same changes over and over and never really gets to the harder stuff like F, Bm and changes with them.

### 3/5 — Glitchy but useful

*2021-06-25, version 2.25*

There are problems with adding and editing chords, and the interface is not very well designed. But you get what you pay for.

### 3/5 — Annoying bugs but useful app

*2021-04-20, version 2.25*

This app is great for keeping track of chord changes, but the interface isn’t very intuitive, and if you try to tag a chord the writing is invisible. Also, if you want to see your lowest chord scores, it includes those with 0 changes if you haven’t practiced that chord. But still a very useful app.

ALSO: it would be great to add a feature of you could see your progress over time by dates. It would be very motivating if you have 20 changes and get up to 40 in a few weeks!

### 4/5 — Minor change/fix

*2020-10-27, version 2.25*

I can hear it when the timer starts but alas when the 60 second timer is up, I can’t hear the audio alert.

Maybe a setting option so I can set the type alert for start and end.

I admit I am hard of hearing and do wear hearing aids.

### 4/5 — Clean, good app for what it needs to do

*2020-10-06, version 2.25*

It’s easy to use, clean interface. Usability is not amazing, but it’s free!
One request: add option to delete or modify a previous score. I mistakenly added 302 chord changes instead of 30, and since then it’s 302 has always been my high score :(

### 4/5 — Excellent practice tool

*2020-09-03, version 2.25*

Great tool. Employed as part of my regular practice routine each couple of days and quickly seeing the results.

### 4/5 — Mostly wonderful

*2020-08-26, version 2.25*

I think it’s a great app and beautifully designed. I like that I can add chords to the library as need to I learn them. Personally, I’m glad that the library is not too extensive so you don’t have to spend a lot of time searching through and just focusing on the chords you want. I might’ve missed something, but I don’t see a way to remove a chord from the library. The only other issue I see is that once I shut the app, it does not remember the cords that I was working on so I have to re-select them each time. That aside, I think the app is brilliant and very helpful for beginning guitar players such as myself. Thanks Justin!

### 2/5 — Not an iPad app, only works in portrait

*2020-07-24*

12.9 inch iPad is orientated to work in landscape. This app only works in portrait mode. Can’t use.

### 4/5 — Two Needed Changes

*2020-01-04, version 2.25*

1. I have on phone and iPad but have to enter new chords on each.

2. I like that I can add chords but it really needs a full library.

3. Allow you to edit chords after they are entered into the library. I have made a few boo boos that I need to correct but I can’t, frustrating.

### 4/5 — Great for Chord Practice

*2019-12-24, version 2.25*

I really like this app. It is great. I just wish you could select chords you want to work on from the score menu. I like working on my slowest chords. Also I added a chord and even though I deleted it it comes back when I restart the app. Ghost chords.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2019-10-21, version 2.18*

Great app. Does exactly what it supposed to. Makes it easy to follow progress

### 2/5 — I can’t figure it out.

*2019-10-07, version 2.18*

It does not count the chord changes.

### 2/5 — Needs improvement

*2019-09-08, version 2.18*

Useful but can’t delete chords and can’t change chord names (bug?!)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Microphone

*2025-10-27, version 2.25*

No microphone settings in app or in apple settings. App cannot hear chords

### 1/5 — Doesn’t count changes

*2019-11-02, version 2.18*

Played a few dozen in a minute and counted zero. Yes, I played the right chords.

### 1/5 — Really?

*2019-05-24, version 2.18*

It’s just a fancy timer and nothing special about it. You still have to count the changes by yourself. Not recommended.

### 1/5 — Update better yet much worst.

*2017-12-24, version 2.00*

Stable app but a pain to record my score, the developer has done nothing to correct this major flaw despite being told the day after the update happened, very poor support and product testing.

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2017-09-30, version 1.0*

Not updated to 64 bit, so will not run on iOS 11

👎👎

### 1/5 — Does not score

*2017-06-23, version 1.0*

This app is only a timer for me. It does not give me a score. Very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Ohne Funktion

*2017-06-16*

Leider ist die App ohne Funktion
Sie zählt keinen einzigen Anschlag/Wechsel

Einstellen kann man da auch nichts am Mic z.b.
Die Zeit läuft zwar ab mehr nicht

Schade

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2017-06-07, version 1.0*

It doesn't keep track of the chords played. It just counts seconds. My timer can do that.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2016-05-05, version 1.0*

Screensaver comes on and stops app before the minute is up

### 1/5 — Where's the Score?

*2016-01-10, version 1.0*

I thought this was going to count the changes and give me a "score" for the minute? It is not for me? Anyone else not getting that?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — From a complete new bee 🐝

*2023-05-02, version 2.25*

Just getting started and have found Justin’s style of teaching works excellent for my particular style of learning and pace preferences. His chord change app has been really helpful. I am so grateful I have found this and just started using it 2X a day. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Wonderfull to exercise code change

*2021-08-24*

Easy to setup what I want to remeber. Very nice idea!

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2021-03-12, version 2.25*

Great for doing a few minutes of chord changes every day to warm up and strengthen my fingers. Amazing to see how scores improve as days go by.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2021-02-22, version 2.25*

This is a free app, it provides the chord charts for you and you just count as you go and enter the tallyat the end. Dont cheat, femember you’re building muscle memory so take itas slow as you need to. You’ll be able to see your improvement. As you advance you can add chords to the chord bank too.

### 5/5 — Cracking app

*2021-02-11, version 2.25*

Initially I did not use the app as felt no need but one day had a go with it as part of my practice routine. Have to say a good simple app. I did not think you could save the scores which I thought made it pointless but then had a look at reviews here advising to press play after finishing. Be good if it saved it automatically at end of countdown if it was a higher score.

### 5/5 — Neat, simple,works

*2021-01-31, version 2.25*

I’ve started using this, it’s a really good tool to fit into daily practice, be nice if it came with a comprehensive dictionary of chords but that doesn’t really matter so much if you know the main chords. Keep up the good work !

### 5/5 — Focus!!!

*2020-12-19, version 2.25*

I’ve been using many teachers, presentations, books and styles for years.. but recently I started to focus more on Justin’s style. I’m somewhere around intermediate (what is a “level” anyway?😀😀❤️🎶) but I’ve found that going back to basics can really help the fundamentals of your play.. dynamics, strumming patterns, bass lines on EAD etc.. This little app is great for channeling your beat improvement as well as your accuracy.. fast. The real beauty is that you can add in your own chords... especially barre chords... fantastic to be able to zip up to Bm on the 7th to an open C7.. over and over without missing a beat

### 5/5 — Justin work... excellent as usual

*2020-05-17*

The work of this guy is just amazing... and free!

### 5/5 — Now I can add my own chords!

*2020-01-11, version 2.25*

I hadn’t used this app in a couple years but I was having problems with some advanced chord shapes. With the added feature it really is a great app for practicing and advancing.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2019-10-30, version 2.18*

I love this app, it is very helpful in practicing chord changes and I don’t know what I would do without it. However I have also run into a minor problem, when creating a new chord, it doesn’t allow special characters like “/“ which I use for slash chords. Its a very small detail and it doesn’t really matter but again, thank you so much Justin!!!!
