## What is One Shot Trigger?

Your web request is now a button.

One Shot Trigger saves the web requests you repeat as three ready-to-run triggers. It is designed for developers, makers, operators, and automators who want a dependable button instead of a full API workspace.

START IN SECONDS

Create a trigger manually, import a cURL command on your device, or try the clearly labeled public example. No example request is sent until you tap it.

RUN IN ONE TAP

Tap a saved trigger to run it immediately. Editing remains a separate action, so the request details stay out of the way until you need them.

KNOW WHAT HAPPENED

See success or failure, HTTP status, response time, a short response preview when available, and a practical next step for common connection, authentication, request, and server errors.

GO ADVANCED WHEN YOU NEED IT

Set the URL, method, headers, and raw request body in the Trigger Editor. cURL import can fill these fields after showing an on-device preview.

• GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE
• Up to 20 custom headers per trigger
• Raw request bodies
• On-device cURL import
• Named triggers in Apple Shortcuts and Siri
• Interactive Home Screen widget
• Clear, categorized results

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account is required. Trigger names, URLs, query values, header values, request bodies, response bodies, tokens, API keys, and personal information are not included in usage analytics. Trigger configuration stays on the device.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-03

One Shot Trigger gives Hey Action a clearer purpose and a faster one-tap workflow:

• New One Shot Trigger name and Trigger-focused interface
• Create manually, import cURL, or try a safe public example
• Tap any saved Trigger card to run it immediately
• Separate edit controls keep advanced details out of the way
• Clear success, HTTP status, response time, and response preview
• Helpful categories for offline, connection, TLS, timeout, authentication, 4xx, 5xx, parsing, and cancellation errors
• Updated Shortcuts, Siri, and Home Screen widget wording
• Existing saved Actions remain available as Triggers

Request details and sensitive values are never included in analytics.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-31

Hey Action is easier to set up and faster to run:

• A redesigned setup screen starts with only the essentials
• Plain-language request methods and purpose-based starting points
• Test a request before saving it
• Headers, body, and cURL import now live in Advanced Settings
• A new interactive Home Screen widget shows your saved action name and latest result
• Choose saved actions by name in Apple Shortcuts and Siri
• The main screen now makes switching and editing actions clearer
• cURL imports now preserve more headers, including authentication headers
• Request bodies now match cURL behavior more closely
• Empty and non-JSON 2xx responses are handled as successful requests
• Timeout, DNS, TLS, connection, and HTTP failures are easier to identify
• New installs begin with a working quick test

Request URLs, headers, bodies, tokens, and API keys are never included in analytics.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-24

Turn a copied cURL command into a ready-to-run request:

• Paste cURL and preview the imported method, URL, headers, and body
• Unsupported cURL options are clearly identified instead of silently ignored
• Successful and failed requests now provide haptic feedback
• A rating prompt may appear after repeated successful use

Commands are parsed on your device and never executed during import. Request contents are never included in analytics.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-21

Hey Action is now easier to understand and faster to set up:

• A visible edit button makes action setup easy to find
• Improved request reliability with a longer timeout
• Anonymous feature-use analytics to guide improvements—request contents are never collected
• Refreshed App Store presentation

Long press still opens the editor, just as before.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-02-18

Improved REST API client positioning and presentation.
Minor UI refinements.
