### 4/5 — Good

*2026-07-31*

Please give us an Apple Watch compatible app!

### 4/5 — A few too many minutes off

*2026-07-30*

One bus away used to be almost 100% accurate. It’s over the last six months to a year that it has faltered.

It will show a bus being a couple of minutes away and then a few minutes later, show that it has passed by 2 min ago. Ghosts!!!

As well, it seems to be 2-4 min min off, no thanks.

### 2/5 — Not Correct

*2026-02-09, version 26.1.0*

For the last weeks or 2 the app has been on e big issue. It’s constantly showing, ‘Scheduled/Not Real Time.’ And then it will show the bus has already gone past. When it hasn’t. Could you fix this? It’s causing so many problems.

### 5/5 — vvch

*2026-01-03, version 25.4.2*

does the job

### 5/5 — Puget sound

*2025-11-16, version 25.4.0*

Often more accurate than Google maps for tracking my local buses. 🚌

### 2/5 — Much less accurate than in past

*2025-11-09*

I’ve used this app for 7 years and it’s have been tremendous nearly the whole time, an easy 5 star. However, in the last 6 months or so it has become very inaccurate both in the time estimates and the GPS tracking of bus. Buses will randomly appear/duplicate or disappear/not actually come randomly. Buses on the map are just not being tracked anymore more often than not, and when they are being tracked they will be very inaccurate somehow. The GPS location of the bus seems to have no correlation with the time estimate anymore. Very frustrating to use when you watch the bus drive away because comes minutes before the app said it would or to be left standing in the Seattle rain for twice as long because the tracking doesn’t work. Again, the app used to be excellent and very accurate until about 6 months or so ago. Hoping it gets better again.

### 5/5 — Helpful app for the most part

*2025-08-21*

I love using this app. It's usually accurate, making it easy to plan outings. A bit frustrating when it's not accurate, especially with no explanation why. I do like the ability to bookmark favorite stops.

I just wish the widget worked on my iPhone 13 mini. I have the latest iOS version and the latest app version (I also deleted it and re-downloaded it) but I still get an "Add bookmarks" message even though I have them and each bookmark has the "Add to widget" option selected. Pressing the refresh button does nothing. Is there something else I need to do?

### 2/5 — Doesn’t tell you what time the bus comes

*2025-08-08, version 25.2.0*

This app is basically pointless as it doesn’t show you what time the bus comes. It only shows the scheduled times

### 3/5 — Useful but buggy

*2025-08-08*

It would be good if the developers would do something about the multiple “not connected to the internet” pop-ups that pile up on top of one another, blocking the user’s action until they’re dismissed by the user. And what is particularly annoying is that this usually happens when the phone has just disconnected from Wi-Fi but still has a cellular connection, and so it reconnects to the network in less than two seconds, but the pop-ups still persist. Why don’t these pop-ups automatically disappear when connectivity is restored?

Hey developer: How about finding a way of communicating a lack of connectivity that doesn’t interfere with every single other function of the app? How about just having a green/red online/offline icon at the bottom of the screen?

Also, the font color for an on-time bus is puke green. Like the same ugly green that is used for non-Apple contacts in iMessage. That should be a nicer shade of green. Early and late busses should be more distressed colors.

Also, when I click on a bus to see where it is on the map, I don’t need to see the entire route. I only need to see the part of the route between myself and the bus. And why does the label for the stop I’m at have to pop up and block the view? I know where I am. I want to see where the bus is, and now it’s being blocked by a label that I don’t need.

### 5/5 — Widget for iOS is great

*2025-07-25, version 25.2.0*

I liked and relied on the app multiple times a day. However, the addition of the widget on iOS really is a game changer so I don’t have to open the app regularly.

### 3/5 — Feature request

*2025-07-03, version 25.2.0*

I love this app. But, it would be nice to have Apple Watch functionality so I can leave my iPhone at home and just use my Apple Watch.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does not tell you when the bus is coming

*2026-05-03*

Consider the user story: “I am at a bus stop and I want to know when the bus is coming.” Seems simple, but anyone downloading this app for this purpose will be disappointed. My experience: Open app > does not find the bus stop I’m standing at via the map or via location services. Asks “where I’m going” as though this is how anyone indexes the information at play. I search for “30” - the San Diego bus line - the app fails to recognize that this bus line exists. I want the people who work on this app to consider how people think about transit, the role it plays in their lives, and how best to interface with the two. At present, the actual delivered user experience of dicking around on one’s phone fruitlessly in the sun is vastly worse than if the app had never been developed at all.

### 1/5 — Unfortunately quite inaccurate

*2026-02-21, version 26.1.0*

Just not a reliable app. Always off. Just ran to the train that said it was 3 minutes away. Turns out it’s 17 minutes away. Winded for nothing.

Not sure what kind of wonky system they get their times from.

### 1/5 — Always wrong

*2026-02-06, version 26.1.0*

Have been late to school a ton because of this app

### 1/5 — ba

*2026-01-20, version 25.4.2*

doesnt work at all on iphone, opens up the interface and doesnt show any stops

### 1/5 — This is garbage

*2025-11-16, version 25.4.0*

It’s almost never accurate and sometimes entire bus routes are missing from stops. Google is hit or miss but from my experience it’s been way more accurate than this app ever has been

### 1/5 — Fix app

*2025-10-19, version 25.3.0*

Used to be good. Now it just says “schedule/not-real time” and can’t see where the bus is coming.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2025-09-21, version 25.3.0*

Being epileptic I am reliant on the King County System to get around the city but the
app is frequently incorrect and it often shows that the bus is past when I know for a fact that it has not! I have emailed County Supervisor Dow Constantine and offered to help with making the App more efficient as well as the App but nobody has ever contacted me. I would urge you to not use the app because it is in need of a major overhaul

### 1/5 — DO NOT HSE THIS APP

*2025-09-19, version 25.3.0*

TIME IS NOT REAL/ACCURATE

### 1/5 — Can’t track bus anymore!!!

*2025-07-19, version 25.2.0*

This app is good when it works. I haven’t been able to track my bus for weeks and I reached out to customer service and got no help. Please fix this issue!!!

### 1/5 — No more notifications?

*2025-05-01, version 25.1.0*

OneBusAway has been a crucial part of my Seattle commutes for almost a decade now. It’s always been useful, but the most important part has been getting notifications and reminders for when my busses are due to arrive. But now that functionality no longer exists?

Now when I select a bus from a stop, there just flat out isn’t any “Add Reminder” option. Part of the convenience of this app was being able to set those alarms and go about my day without having to check the bus stop schedules.

I’ve been trying to find documentation but I haven’t been able to find anything that indicates a change to notifications. And I can’t find anything that bug report page on OBA’s website.

So either this is a change that massively kills the functionality of the app. Or this is an innocent bug but with no transparent way to flag the issue for the developers. Either way, it’s frustrating.
