## What is Onecards?

Onecards is a flashcard app for memorization that does the hard part for you.

Pick a template — Medicines, Vocabulary, Historical Figures, or one you build yourself — and Onecards fills in the back of every card automatically. Type "Tylenol" and get the generic name, common uses, mechanism, and side effects, all in your card's format. Edit anything before saving. Study when you're ready.

WAYS TO STUDY
- Classic flip-through with confidence ratings
- Multiple choice with answers pulled from your other cards
- Type-to-answer with semantic grading — answers are graded on substance, not exact wording
- Hint mode that reveals one field at a time
- Reverse mode — guess the front from a back field
- Matching game across 6 cards
- Speed round — how many can you nail in 60 seconds
- Two truths and a lie
- Reverse chain — answer correctly to keep the chain going
- Recall ladder — write everything you remember in one box
- Audio mode — listen and study hands-free

BUILT FOR ACTUAL MEMORIZATION
- Spaced repetition based on your confidence ratings
- Mark cards as mastered after 7 in a row correct, hide them from study sessions when you're ready
- Stats per deck show your hardest cards, accuracy trends, and streaks
- Study calendar tracks consistency across weeks
- Goal setting calculates daily targets from your exam date
- Generate a custom study guide for any deck — explained in plain language

CARD CREATION THAT DOESN'T SUCK
- Bulk-create from a list of terms
- Per-field length controls — brief, standard, or detailed
- Make any field shorter, more detailed, or simpler with one tap
- Personal notes and AI-suggested mnemonics, separate from the canonical content
- Tags and search across every card in every deck

SHARE AND PRINT
- Export decks as PDF for offline reference
- Print-and-cut layout for paper flashcards
- Send 10-card challenges to friends

Works fully offline once cards are created. Card generation requires an internet connection.

Onecards is built with care and designed to feel calm — cream cards, thin brown frames, modern serif type. No streaks shouting at you, no notifications you didn't ask for. Just a tool that makes flashcards faster to create so you can spend your time actually studying.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-05-11

Reliability improvements and small fixes:

- Streaks mode now shows progress through every question and continues after wrong answers — your streak resets but you keep practicing.

- Decks created with Quick Deck can now produce up to 999 cards (was capped at 100).

- Failed cards now save with empty content so you can retry or fill manually instead of losing them silently.

- Edit field length and description directly from deck settings — no more recreating templates.

- Regenerate specific fields without redoing everything.

- Various contrast and dark mode polish.

Thanks for the feedback — keep it coming.

### 1.2 — 2026-05-04

Onecards just got dramatically faster at building decks.

What's new:

- Quick Deck — describe what you want to study and get a complete deck in seconds. "20 famous mathematicians," "all 50 US states," "common Spanish irregular verbs" — type the prompt, get the cards.

- Photo and file upload — snap a picture of a study guide or upload a PDF, and Onecards extracts the terms and fills the cards for you. Multi-image selection supported.

- Smarter card recognition — the AI is much better at recognizing names, even with partial spellings, typos, or nicknames.

- Per-day study insights — tap any day on your calendar to see exactly what you reviewed, accuracy, time spent, and decks studied.

- Flexible study modes — choose between asking every question once, drilling until you get them all right, or studying continuously without an end. No more questions about the same card back-to-back.

- Cleaner deck creation — pick a template or use Auto for AI-generated fields based on your topic. Edit any deck's fields anytime.

Plus dozens of fixes around card fill reliability, dark mode contrast, calendar tracking, and bulk operations.

Thanks for sticking with us — keep the feedback coming.

### 1.1 — 2026-04-30

This update makes card creation dramatically more reliable.

What's new:

- Better AI recognition. Type a partial name, a common typo, or a nickname — it figures out what you meant. Works for famous people, medications, vocabulary, and more.

- Duplicate detection. Adding a card that matches one you already have? Onecards now warns you before saving, with options to keep both, replace, or cancel.

- Cleaner retry flow. When the AI can't fill a card, the new dialog lets you fix the term and add context in one place instead of choosing between confusing options.

- Done button on the keyboard. Dismiss the keyboard from any text field with one tap.

- Performance improvements. Decks load faster, search is snappier, scrolling is smooth even with hundreds of cards.

Plus a handful of bug fixes around bulk card creation, dark mode contrast, and study mode edge cases.
