That made the app and my Echo start working again for me. I don’t know who needs to read this, but hopefully Curt does. They broke the app with V2. In fact, the app doesn’t even launch. It force closes as soon as you try to open it. Before V2, it worked great to control my Echo and set brake and gain levels. I’ve been driving around without a brake controller the last two months thanks to Curt. And the recent update V2.1 didn’t fix it. I trust that the trailer brake controller still works in the default mode, but the app has been crashing when I used it against recent iOS updates. The part it's missing that makes way too much sense is CarPlay integration. The irony of this app in its current state is that you are encouraging me to distract myself with my phone while, of all things, I tow a trailer. Like how insanely practical would it be if I could use the OK button on my dashboard with the app open in CarPlay to manually brake my trailer. This makes far too much sense.
