## What is OneLimit?

Your kid finishes their iPhone time, walks to the PS5, and starts a fresh clock. You set limits on three devices but manage none of them together. Sound familiar?

OneLimit gives your family one daily screen time budget that counts down across every device - iPhone, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Windows PC. When time runs out on one, it runs out on all of them. No loopholes.

HOW IT WORKS

Set a daily budget for each child (say, 2 hours on weekdays, 3 on weekends). OneLimit tracks usage across all linked devices in near-real-time. On iOS your child sees a budget ring that fills up as they play and browse. When the budget is spent, every device locks. Simple.

KEY FEATURES

- Unified budget: One pool of time shared across iPhone, PS5, Switch, Xbox, and Windows. No more device-hopping.
- Budget ring: A clear, color-coded gauge shows exactly how much time is left. Green, amber, red - your child always knows where they stand.
- Streaks: Kids earn streaks for staying within their daily budget. Positive reinforcement, not just restriction.
- Ask for more time: Your child can request extra minutes directly from their app. You approve or deny with one tap.
- Emergency lock: Lock all devices instantly from the dashboard. One tap, no confirmation needed. Unlock when you are ready.
- Bonus time: Grant +30 minutes with a single tap when plans change.
- Activity log: See which devices were used, for how long, and when. No guesswork.
- Schedules: Set weekday and weekend budgets, bedtime lockout windows, and per-device overrides.
- Vacation mode: Relax the limits without deleting your settings. Toggle it on, toggle it off.
- Bedtime countdown: Automatic lockout windows keep devices off at night.
- Co-parenting ready: Designed for households where both parents need visibility.
- Widget: Check each child's remaining budget from your iPhone home screen without opening the app.
- Daily summary: A warm "good night" notification recaps the day. "Today was a 2h 14m day. Busiest: PS5."
- Weekly email: A concise weekly report delivered to your inbox (optional).

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.9 — 2026-08-10

Small improvements to simplify your experience.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-08

Simpler co-parent setup.

- You can enter an invite code during setup, instead of having to create a child of your own first just to reach the screen that asks for it.
- The app icon now has dark and tinted versions to match the rest of your Home Screen.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-08-01

A phone that is connected but not actually protecting your child now says so.

- Not protected: a linked iPhone that never got Screen Time permission used to read "Offline", so it looked like the link had failed. It now says what is really wrong, shows you what to tap on your child's phone, and notifies you if it stays that way.
- Linking a PlayStation now checks you are signed in as the account that manages parental controls on your PS5 - so a link can no longer look successful while enforcing nothing.
- A console whose sign-in has expired now has its own Reconnect button, and reconnecting starts a fresh sign-in instead of stopping on the dead one.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-07-21

Linking your child's device is now a single tap.

- Tap-to-link setup: send the setup link to your child's device and it pairs itself - no 6-digit code to type in, nothing to expire halfway through. Now on for every parent.
- Pairing codes last 10 minutes instead of 3, so there is time to install the child app first.
- Long-press the app icon for a quick way to tell us what is not working - and to see what really happens to your limits and your subscription if you remove the app.
- In families with more than one child, setup now resumes for the child who is actually unfinished.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-07-12

- We fixed a rare glitch that could appear while setting up OneLimit. Setup is now smoother and more reliable.
