## What is Oneline?

Oneline is not a journal, it’s a timeline!

Instead of long entries, prompts or gamification, Oneline helps you capture life as it happens, one simple line at a time. Over days, months, and years, those lines become a powerful personal memory.

What you can do
• Write one short line per day
• Scroll through your life as a clean, vertical timeline
• Pinch to zoom to see your life at different levels of detail
• Highlight important days
• Add optional tags
• Create multiple timelines (Life, Work, Health, etc.)
• Revisit past moments with On This Day

Multiple timelines
Life isn’t one-dimensional.
Create separate timelines for different parts of your life and keep everything clear, intentional, and personal.

On This Day
Some memories deserve to resurface quietly.
Oneline shows you what you wrote on this day in previous years, without notifications, pressure, or nostalgia traps.

Privacy-first
• No accounts required
• Data stored locally or in your personal iCloud
• No tracking
• No ads
• No social features

Your timeline belongs to you.

Your life doesn’t need streaks or likes. Just one honest line per day.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-04-30*

Really enjoyed the app. Only thing I would change is to add a time stamp.

**Developer response:** Hey there! You can enable this from your settings: “Show timestamps”.

Thank you very much :)

### 5/5 — Very cool app

*2026-04-29*

I appreciate how you thought out of the box. Very clean and well designed app.

I also like that you can add more than one entry a day, because multiple things occur that we may want to log. And the separate timelines, tags, location and photo attachments, which make it a well rounded journaling app.

### Some Feedback

- Font on timeline is too small. Should work with dynamic type like rest of the app or let us choose our preferred size. An option to change the font would be nice too.
- I know it is designed as a one line journaling app, but this could be limiting for some. Allow us the option to display the full entry or at least a few more lines on the timeline. Can’t really read a full sentence or short paragraph without opening each individual entry.
- Consider adding a full screen view for typing entries. Removes the distraction of other UI elements.
- Add a complication for Apple Watch app for faster access.
- Widget for today’s log and on this day. And one that lets us choose the timeline we want to view.
- Consider some user selectable background themes (even if just for pro users)
- Allow us to customize the “what happened today?” prompt for new entries. And (ideally) allow a different choice for each timeline. The scope of this app can go beyond its intended use. For example, if I wanted to create a quote log, the prompt “what happened today” would not be appropriate.
- Option to show relative dates on the timeline ... like x days, weeks, months ago.
- For the voice entry option on the entry edit screen, suggest also adding it to the timeline “add new entry button” — by holding it in to initiate a voice entry.

Hopefully that feedback was helpful. Look forward to seeing how the app evolves.

**Developer response:** Glad you’re enjoying the app! And thank you for the useful feedback and feature requests. I’ll go through them and add the possible features. Stay tuned :)

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-18

Some days need more than a line. Oneline can now keep a whole note behind one.

• Turn on Long-Form Notes in Settings to write a longer note under any line. The line is still the entry, and the timeline looks exactly as it did, with a small mark on the days that have more behind them.
• Give the text shape as you write it, with bold, italic, headings, lists and quotes. It styles itself on screen while you type.
• Dictate straight into a note. The words land where your cursor is, so you can talk into the middle of a paragraph you already started.
• Search now looks inside your notes, not only your lines.
• Notes travel with your exports, in Markdown, JSON and CSV alike.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-07-31

Nothing new to see this time.

• Internal problem reporting has been cleaned up, so issues get caught sooner.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-05-22

Polished editing - a cleaner Add Entry sheet, easier discovery of photos from each day, and fewer rough edges.
• New: when photo access isn't granted yet, the entry sheet shows a discoverable preview for photos from that day. Tap to grant access and the feature switches on automatically.
• Refreshed Add Entry: date moved next to the other actions, icon weights are consistent, and the tag input previews as a chip while you type.
• Tapping Done after editing keeps the sheet open so you can review your changes.
• Long location names truncate on one line instead of wrapping; the remove button now lives inside the location chip.
• Onboarding's Health page is now translated everywhere.
• Fixed: removing a location from an existing entry now actually persists.
• Fixed: the add-to-entry button on library photo thumbnails no longer gets clipped.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-05-12

Capture from Siri.

  • Add entries with Siri or Shortcuts and see what you saved in an inline preview card.
  • Ask “On this day in Oneline” to see past entries from today’s date right in Siri and Spotlight.
  • Jot a quick memory inline on iOS 26 with the new Quick Entry shortcut, without opening the app.
  • Fixed a horizontal sideways scroll that could appear in the What’s New screen.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-05-08
