Thank goodness for a wonderful community. Everyone got out and looked for them through messaging in Facebook. Vendors not completing the jobs. Vendors not showing up. Final straw was they broke a light and missed doing back half of side yard. Then charged me to have it fixed. It rained once and that’s why they kept pushing it back stating they were so backed up. I understand a few days, but a few weeks? Didn’t make sense and I see my other neighbors getting their lawns mowed. Found someone on fb market and went with them instead of this hassle. ### 1/5 — Your service is tomorrow. Sorry, it’s not. *2021-06-10, version 1.5* The app is worthless if they can’t get the services that the app supports right. Somebody had a great idea for the app but unfortunately missed the basics of doing business in residential services. ### 1/5 — Waste of time. *2021-06-05, version 1.5* Poor service from landscapers. No support from the service. You can submit an issue through the app and they indicate the will respond in ~24 hours. It has been weeks with no response or follow-up after multiple submissions. ### 2/5 — Useless *2021-05-30* It’s a neat idea in concept but both app’s UX and the actual service are terrible. I’ve been with this company for over 4 months and requested lawn service and mosquito control. Pretty much every single time they’ve had to reschedule, cancel or just show up at a wrong day. Lawn service has been postponed so many times that I’m not getting letters from hoa about non compliance. ### 2/5 — Unreliable *2021-05-06* I’ve had this service for about 3 months now. In that time, there has only been one occasion where they actually came when they said they would. Every single other service date has been postponed or skipped altogether. For just this week’s service I’ve received 3 separate emails saying “we’ll be there tomorrow,” but still no one has showed up. And it’s like this every time, this is not an isolated incident. Additionally, there seems to be no screening on the 3rd party vendors they use. Last week a guy in jeans and a wife-beater showed up in a small sedan and pulled a lawn mower out of his trunk. No trimmer, no edger, just a push mower. Then he completely skipped the back yard, never even opened the gate. Also because it’s a different vendor every week, there is NO consistency in the quality of the job. And lastly, they jacked the price up. I signed up because the price was $10 cheaper than my last lawn care company, and they would allow for bi-weekly scheduling. They have since upped the price by $9 and they are so unreliable it’s laughable. To be honest, if the service was more consistent and reliable, this would be a 4 star review. Although the price did go up, it’s still reasonable. Or rather, it WOULD be reasonable if they EVER actually showed up when they said they would. Save yourself the hassle and skip this company. ### 1/5 — Bait & Switch Pricing, Consistent No call, no show *2021-04-27* AVOID THIS SERVICE I was quoted a price for recurring lawn service and accepted. The first day they showed up, they raised my price 40% without explanation and no notice. I got an email the next day with the explanation that they can’t find anyone! Next, they changed my scheduled service day two weeks in row by more than 3 days. Again, no explanation. In fact, the weather was perfect both weeks. They cut someone else’s lawn, sent me that other homes photos and billed me. 1. There is no one to call (the message service is just that), they can’t resolve your issue. They take your message and who knows what happens to it 2. They state 48 hours for a response. However, this is TOO long when grass grows in the spring. I’m not trying to be a Karen over a single simple issue. It seems the issues (plural) are systemic for this company and there is zero acknowledgement of even receipt of a request let alone coming to an understanding. All of this could be avoided with simple proactive communication in their end! HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING!! I have written multiple times to support with zero response very unprofessional wish I could rate a zero star ### 1/5 — No service provided.... *2021-03-07, version 1.1* I signed up for two properties I own. They are very unreliable and haven’t even come out for service. I’ll be contacting Apple and the BBB. ### 1/5 — Is this a scam? *2021-03-07, version 1.1* I signed up for service but they never showed up. I got an email the first time saying that they would be there within 24 hours. It’s now been twice that and still be service. I’m beginning to wonder if this is a scam ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Scam Artists *2025-07-02* DO NOT use this service. They never show up and when you realize that theyre not going to show up would think to cancel, but when you do, you get charged $15+ so youre bound to either par the cancellation fee or wait for your grass to continue to grow long AND if you dont cancel and the grass gets longer as you wait for them to arrive at their own time, youre charge even more of a fee for cutting ‘tall grass’! This is a total scam! And dont forget to completely cancel services because if you dont, you will get a notice at the last second letting you know that mower are going to arrive soon, so when u do cancel, you get charged $15*! You become a slave to their system. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! Also be sure to delete any payment you have on file and delete your account. This company is true pieces of greedy garbage. ### 1/5 — Very Disappointed *2025-06-22* Important message up front: Due to personal experiences I would not recommend OneNeighbor. The vendor and service provider are unreliable and even after contacted the OneNeighbor support - they didn’t respond to the problem, zero actual response other than we received your ticket… more than 5 days. Upon cancelling the service, while marketed on their website “no contract”, the company charged my credit card without approval. Beware. And yes the service was canceled before 12pm… ### 1/5 — VERY Unreliable *2024-10-06* I’ve used one neighbor on two different occasions, a few years ago and again now. And their lawn service providers are completely unreliable. Providers cancel at the last minute for made up reasons. My favorite is “equipment issues.” The old saying is true, “you get what you pay for.” You “save” money by using this service but get a ton of people that shouldn’t be in the lawn care business. I would not use the One neighbor again if you paid me. ### 1/5 — Poorly designed app. Hidden charges *2024-07-31* I used this app for the first time in July 2024 to get a lawn mower job done. Originally, the estimated price was shown at around $30. However, after all hidden charges, the final bill was close to $96. When I canceled future jobs they charge an additional $30. I rather stick to normal contractor, they are way cheaper. ### 1/5 — Horrible and unreliable! *2024-02-26* Don’t bother wasting your time. Takes days to assign a vendor, then either the vendor changes or they change the service date with no notice. Then they may or may not show up, again with no notice. EDIT: Then to make matters worse, they charge YOU when you cancel for THEIR no-show! They did refund the charge, thankful I don’t have to hassle with the bank and a chargeback. Terrible execution. *2024-01-08, version 2.3.2* Very few services in my area - a well populated suburb of Dallas. No pest control, leaf cleanup, pool cleaning, other landscaping. Basic lawn service cancelled 5 times over several weeks because “an equipment problem prevented service.” Really? 5 times? I was getting warnings from the city for code violations. Then when someone finally did come out, they cut the wires on one of my Christmas decorations. Because I didn’t report it in 48 hours, they won’t replace it. Not worth the effort to manage through the app. I’ll just find out who my neighbors use and do it the old fashioned way. ### 1/5 — Cannot Log into App *2023-09-23* This app cannot log me in using my google sign in. It loops to the website and not everything available in the app is available on the website. Also, the vendors in my area are not reliable😩 ### 1/5 — Unreliable and a pain in the *** *2023-06-07* The pricing is very cheap and that’s why I used the app. I tried it for a couple of years. The quality of the jobs was usually mediocre, but I was fine with that since it was cheap. The big issue was actually getting the yard mowed. Almost always the “vendor” would postpone the job and in the ap & the reason would be equipment failure or excessive heat(sometimes when it was only 80 degrees). Then when they show up it’s usually a very rough looking character that is unloading and old lawnmower out of the trunk of a car. THEN they charge double for high grass even though the reason the grass is high is because they didn’t show up to mow it in the first place. I finally cancelled the service and paid a reliable company more to do it. I hate giving bad reviews, but I’d say stay away. ### 1/5 — Poor *2023-03-14* I have been using this service on an off for 3+ years. It has been underwhelming at best and neither makes finding service providers easier or less expensive. Since adding services again at a new location, which requires a new login, I have had my lawn serviced at an increasingly inconsistent rate. I have been assigned and lost providers right and left. Ultimately, my grass is not being cut at an appropriate frequency to no fault of my own. I added a weed pulling service that was scheduled and rescheduled time and time again, only to lose the vendor. I made the above correspondence to a “customer service manager” to which I was sent a copy and pasted guide to using the app. Poor execution, poor customer service.
