## What is Onepilot?

Your servers and your AI agents, in your pocket. Onepilot is the iOS app that runs your AI agents and server fleet on machines you own. Connect to any server, Mac, or VPS over SSH, then deploy, monitor, and manage agents across all of them from one place.

Direct SSH to hardware you control: your keys and your code never touch the cloud.

WHO IT IS FOR

For developers, indie hackers, and sysadmins who run AI coding agents on remote machines and want to deploy, watch, and control them from a phone.

PILLAR ONE: A REAL TERMINAL, PLUS THE TOOLS AROUND IT

A full SSH terminal, not a chat box, with the modern dev workflow built in: browse and edit remote files, review git diffs, forward localhost to preview your dev server, and run terminal CLIs like Claude Code in a real session, exactly as you would on your laptop. Pair a server once with the onepilot CLI (one npm install and a QR scan) and your sessions become persistent: your shell keeps running on your own server through app closes and connection drops, and greets you with full scrollback when you return.

SEE YOUR AGENTS THINK

Onepilot detects the coding agent sessions running on your servers (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode) and streams them live: follow every step as it happens, scroll the full transcript, then jump into the terminal to take over.

PILLAR TWO: DEPLOY AND MANAGE AN AGENT FLEET

Spin up a persistent AI agent in minutes with a guided wizard, no config files: pick a framework like OpenClaw or Hermes, choose a model, add your keys, connect a channel, and Onepilot keeps it running on your server. Watch every agent across every machine from a single view; swap the model, rotate a key, or adjust behavior anytime.

KNOW WHEN SOMETHING BREAKS

Fleet monitoring watches CPU, memory, disk, load, and your Docker containers on every paired host, learns each machine's normal, and sends a push notification when something drifts. Alerts are calm by design: one notification when a problem starts, spaced reminders while it lasts, and a recovery note when it heals. Drill into any container for live performance charts.

RUNS WHILE YOU SLEEP

Put any agent or task on a schedule with cron and let your fleet work overnight. This is automation no plain SSH client offers: your agents run even when your phone is asleep.

SET UP ONCE, REUSE EVERYWHERE

Store your keys and chat tokens one time, then reuse them across every agent. Give your agents new skills from a community marketplace.

WHY ONEPILOT

A plain SSH client connects you to a shell. Onepilot gives you that shell plus a full dev ecosystem around it, and an agent operations layer on top: deploy, monitor, alert, schedule, and manage a fleet of AI agents on your own servers. One app for every machine and every agent, not a remote control for one.

Ships worldwide.

### 3/5 — Works with bugs

*2026-08-08*

Not the most perfect solution. Works but has many sloppy bugs like the keyboard is light when the terminal is dark that’s pretty bad looking in dark rooms. The header when keyboard is open is conflicting with the status bar. The status bar is dark on dark which is invisible. The UX is all over the place with none standard concepts which as a software engineer I’m not going to waste time trying to explore or subscribe for.

### 5/5 — Smooth experience overall

*2026-07-04, version 1.3.9*

Using it for personal coding projects and occasional server maintenance. It feels smoother and less buggy compared to similar apps I’ve tried. Had one small issue early on, and customer service handled it kindly.

### 5/5 — Great for late night checks

*2026-07-04, version 1.3.9*

Sometimes I wake up and want to quickly see if my scripts are running fine. The app opens fast and reconnects without hassle. The AI explanations are useful when I’m half asleep and not thinking clearly.

### 4/5 — Works well on mobile data

*2026-07-04, version 1.3.9*

Tested it over mobile data while out, and it still connected reliably. That was a big plus for me. I’ve had other tools fail under the same conditions. So far this one has been consistent.

### 5/5 — Clear interface, easy use

*2026-07-03, version 1.3.9*

Everything is where you expect it to be. I mainly use it to check server status and run updates. When I reached out with a feature question, the reply was friendly and didn’t feel automated.

### 5/5 — Convenient for small tasks

*2026-07-03, version 1.3.9*

For small maintenance tasks, this app saves me from booting up my computer. The connection process is smooth and I haven’t faced major bugs. It feels more polished than another SSH app I deleted recently.

### 4/5 — Fast access to my VPS

*2026-07-03, version 1.3.9*

Logging into my VPS from my phone used to be slow with other apps. Here it’s pretty quick and stable. I also like that the AI can explain certain outputs when I’m unsure what they mean.

### 5/5 — Good balance of features

*2026-07-02, version 1.3.8*

It has enough features for my personal projects without feeling bloated. I mostly use it to monitor logs and restart services. Customer service was kind when I asked about a minor billing detail.

### 5/5 — Refreshing

*2026-07-02*

Not about the features, but refreshing to have this style of app in dev tools

### 4/5 — Clean design, no fuss

*2026-07-02, version 1.3.8*

What I like most is the simple design. It doesn’t try to do too much at once. I can connect, run what I need, and disconnect. The AI suggestions are handy when I’m stuck on a command syntax.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.2.3 — 2026-08-12

Pairing a Windows computer now works out of the box. The pairing screen guides you when there is nothing to scan yet, with one tap copy for the setup commands. Agent sessions load reliably when the app returns from the background. Fewer, more useful notifications.

### 2.2.2 — 2026-08-01

Your servers now follow you out the door.

• Machines added by manual SSH now link to their secure Onepilot tunnel automatically: connect once at home and they stay reachable from cellular, hotel wifi, anywhere
• No need to pair again or scan anything: it happens quietly the next time you connect
• Coming back to the app reconnects instantly, as fast as tapping Connect
• Connection reliability improvements across the board

### 2.2.1 — 2026-07-25

Pairing just got dramatically more reliable.

• Scanning a QR code now reaches your machine over the local network even while its tunnel is still waking up
• Codes that could never connect fail in seconds with a clear reason, instead of a silent spinner
• The QR advertises your real network address first, so pairing no longer stalls on virtual adapters from Docker, WSL or VirtualBox
• The CLI now checks that SSH is actually enabled before printing a code, and tells you exactly how to turn it on
• Fixed key setup being interrupted by harmless system messages on WSL machines
• Clearer errors throughout: pasted install commands, unreachable networks and blocked connections are named for what they are

### 2.1 — 2026-07-22

Your agents now live in the Dynamic Island.

• Live Activity (beta): running coding agent sessions appear beside the notch and on your lock screen, updating live
• Claude Code permission prompts expand into an approval card right on the island; reply from your phone, and whoever answers first wins
• Nothing to add or place: the pill shows up on its own when a session starts working and clears when things go quiet
• New Live Activity section in Settings with toggles to personalize it or switch it off

Plus small fixes and polish.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-07-21

This update makes pairing and connecting more reliable.

• When a server cannot be reached, the app now tells you within seconds which machine is offline and how to bring it back
• Connecting by address can now also reconnect that server to Onepilot, so it stays reachable after you leave your network
• Fixed an issue where retrying a pairing could leave duplicate keys on your server
• Reliability fixes for the tunnel service on macOS hosts (update the CLI with: onepilot upgrade)
