### 1/5 — Insufficient

*2021-04-12, version 10.1*

Abysmally poor. I don’t even know where to begin.

First off login w facial recognition is usually about 51% successful. Doesn’t allow for disputing every instance of patients not mine, just one at a time. Doesn’t subtract the last 7 day orders from total thus resulting in double work.

So many more shortcomings but I feel my input would have no bearing.

### 1/5 — Update broken

*2020-12-04, version 9.0*

Current update has broken the app for me. No access to patient information or search feature. Deleted and downloaded several times but still broken.
Can still sign orders and use Cureatr, of course.
Menu button only brings up settings whereas before numerous short cuts to activities were available.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-03-14, version 5.0*

App opens, and I can search for patient, but when I attempt to open patient’s chart, app crashes.
Also, I am no longer able to see my partner’s patients so weekends and call night info is no longer there. Very, very bad fix.

### 1/5 — New update does not work

*2020-03-13, version 5.0*

Mandatory update today. Earlier today I was unable to search for a patient. Now I’m unable to even log in. Access to outpatient information is critical. Please address ASAP.

### 1/5 — Worse than before

*2020-01-27, version 4.2*

Essentially the same as Falcon but slower, more clunky, less user friendly, more infuriating. Awesome.

### 1/5 — Decent

*2019-10-09, version 3.2*

Agree with others that it looks nice but the functionality is essentially the same as Falcon.

Would be wonderful if updating was not mandatory. Just like most other apps, if there is an update, the app should not force you to update just to use the app. As nephrologists, we are usually on the go, and do not always have reliable WiFi to download a whole update. We sometimes need to look up a patient urgently and these mandatory updates prevent us from doing so

### 1/5 — Can’t sign orders

*2019-09-28, version 3.2*

Agree. When entering password to sign orders nothing happens

### 1/5 — View won’t rotate, can pull up section to write physician’s notes

*2019-05-21, version 2.0*

I use an apple keyboard attached to my iPad for rounding. I purchased this iPad because there weren’t enough Davita iPads in the unit to round with due to 2 providers from different groups rounding at same time.
My keyboard attaches on the long edge of the iPad and this app is only viewable the other way. So if this is not fixed, I assume my keyboard is useless.
Also, I cannot find the area to do notes in. I’m told falcon rounding goes away 6/2019 but can’t see a way to write notes in this app. Was told I should change over but how????

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Clinical useless

*2026-04-24*

Request do be updated every couple of weeks. Worst password system in the industry.
Waste of time for busy nephrologist

### 1/5 — Extremely slow slow slow app

*2026-04-14, version 19.1*

This is very poorly built very, very slow app. It’s loads the data extremely slow makes the rounding extremely challenging when you are in front of patient it doesn’t refresh the data. Also in documenting you will have a lot of hard time.

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2025-09-22*

Worse app ever. See what the “other”guys are doing. Weekly updates required make this app useless

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2025-09-05*

Worse app ever for HD. Inconvenient passwords requirements, asking you to update the app constantly. Not a practical app for busy physicians.

### 1/5 — Worse than before

*2024-12-16, version 17.5*

Essentially the same as Falcon but slower, more clunky, less user friendly, more infuriating. Awesome.

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2023-02-01*

This app crashes CONSTANTLY! I will have charted on 2 patients and it crashes. It frustrates me. Why does it do this? I lose my work. So inefficient.

### 1/5 — Poor performance

*2022-07-05, version 13.7*

Constant updates interrupting work flow. Often non-functional at all.

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2022-05-26, version 12.6*

The app has frequent shut downs. It is nonfunctional when needed most. “Try back later” doesn’t work when you need to see the patient now! Dialysis patients are at the unit at specific times, not “later” when the app is working.

Several times this week, I have MISSED dialysis rounds due to the app not functioning when I need to see the patient. Rounds aren’t rounds when you are blind to the patient’s data. Sure, you can go back later, but that doubles the time needed to treat a patient and greatly increases the likelihood of missing something.

DaVita gives us no choice. FIX THIS APP. PLEASE.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2021-09-01, version 11.0*

Terrible and useless app. Why get rid of Falcon before creating a fully functional replacement. Can’t even round on the app.

### 1/5 — Needs monumental improvement.

*2021-06-11, version 10.3*

This app needs significant improvement for meaningful use.

## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Upgrades look good

*2022-11-02, version 14.1*

The App is getting easier to use! Thank you!

### 4/5 — Could be better

*2022-04-24, version 12.4*

the app works pretty good. Only complaint is that they do updates Sunday during the day when I have the time to play catch up. Feel like it would be better if they updated in the middle of the night. It also keeps us from looking up the patients while rounding at the hospital over the weekend.

### 2/5 — built with Davita communication as priority, physician rounding secondary

*2020-04-10, version 5.0.2*

The best part of this app is the use of face recognition/touch ID option. That is the only thing that is better in this app compared to falcon. Otherwise, the interface is built to prioritize communication of Davita information to physicians and order signing. Just look at the layout of the home page; order signing at the very top and communication hub just under it. If you don’t review your communication messages, they just stay there the whole time and you have to scroll to the very bottom to find your recent patients.

for clinical rounding, i prefer the falcon app (especially ipad version), built with clinical workflow as priority and has imprved with each version update. The one major lack in the falcon app is the lack of face ID or touch ID option.
