This app combines a VPN with the Tor network to provide a high level of online privacy and anonymity. It allows you to browse the internet without being tracked or surveilled, secure your traffic, and access onion sites that are only available through the Tor network.
The Tor network works by distributing your internet traffic across a series of volunteer-operated servers. This process encrypts your data and relays it through multiple nodes, making it very difficult to trace your online activities back to your real IP address.
The app offers a 3-day free trial. After the trial, a subscription is required to access all features. Subscription options include weekly, monthly, and yearly plans.
Key benefits include anonymous browsing, protection from tracking and surveillance, secure connections on insecure networks, access to onion sites, and a strict no-log policy. Browsing activity is also deleted upon application exit.
Web browsing can be slower compared to standard browsers because your traffic is encrypted and relayed through the Tor anonymization network. This multi-layered encryption and routing process enhances privacy but adds latency.
