This is minor, but frustrating as it’s an extremely basic feature and a paid app. I also can’t find a way to save my downloaded notes on my iPad or close out of them without closing the entire app. ### 2/5 — Love OME, not the app *2021-12-30, version 1.3.1283* OME is fantastic and I love using it as a source. The iPad app, however, is not my favorite to say the least. Landscape mode please! ### 2/5 — Can’t download offline content *2021-12-01, version 1.3.1283* Would be helpful, but I can’t get any of the content to download for offline review! ### 2/5 — Flash cards glitches *2020-10-28, version 1.1.1009* Couple things here: 1) app would stop randomly while reviewing flash cards maybe after 30-50 cards 2) wouldn’t be such a huge issue if we have an ability to come back where we were interrupted instead of swiping from the very beginning till card #457. How is there no landscape view for an app that primarily advertises its video content. Navigating is also very difficult. Even when I logged in, it was as if it was stuck in a landscape screen but only worked in portrait. I had to guess if I was typing in the correct login info because it was off the screen. ### 2/5 — No landscape mode = sad med student *2020-10-05, version 1.1.1009* Seriously. Like every other review said: I love OME content through my membership on the site. Got excited when I saw the app but I only wanted to use it on my iPad, which is useless if it doesn’t switch out of portrait mode. I can’t even see videos full screen. There’s nothing more irritating than doing flash card and having the app crash when you’re on your 200th or so. Also, you can’t see any of the study schedules that you make on the website, so doing things on the go is a bit difficult. The app works fine and I think its a great resource. However, OME is overpriced. The videos are free so the only added benefit you get from membership is practice questions and flash cards. And the flash cards are terrible. Model your flashcards after USMLE Rx’s Flash facts and i guarantee your membership numbers will triple, because med students are crackheads for some good flashcards ### 2/5 — Buggy *2020-07-08, version 1.1.1009* OME is a high standard as far as clinical education goes for medical school. The iPad app leaves a lot to be desired. The aspect ratio is off to the point where you can’t control much. But this app is not. I can’t even sign in most of the time. When I can sign in, it says it can’t sync with their servers. It performs better on ipad than before, but it still crashes randomly, has audio glitches, and drains my battery very quickly. It also in the last week quit working on my phone. I imagine that I will just reinstall the app to fix it, but I shouldn't have to deal with this in the first place. ### 1/5 — Good content, awful app *2020-01-15, version 1.0.998* A lot of people giving this app reviews are reviewing OME as a study tool and not the app itself. The app, as it stands right now, is virtually unusable (at least on iPad). 1. Glitches like crazy. I had to force close the app several times before I could even sign in because the fields for email and password wouldn’t display. The app glitches when trying to open “prime” documents. 2. When the prime documents are open, they are the only thing you can view in landscape. You can’t even see the whole video screen because it isn’t properly cropped natively to fit in portrait, and the app doesn’t flip into landscape. Seriously? This is quite literally the most basic feature of any app. 3. You can’t download the prime documents directly onto the iPad as a PDF if you want to take you own notes on them. Download on Desktop, upload to iCloud, then open on iPad would be the only way and I haven’t even had time to try that yet. I’m sure there are other things I’m not remembering right now, but this app seems like it was released in mid development. And as a resource that would be really helpful to be able to use on the go, a poor app is as useful as none at all. ### 1/5 — Everytime crash while doing flash cards *2019-12-06, version 1.0.979* Can’t complete flash card, it crash in middle. Love OME, wish I could actually use the app. Would love to have access to the flashcards & Qbank through this. ### 1/5 — Horrible for iPad, mediocre for iPhone *2020-04-12, version 1.0.998* Cuts off both sides of the screen on iPad, no option or way to turn it landscape which makes it essentially unusable as you can’t see the video tools (including speed time or full screen). iPhone is okay, but I hate that the app has to be open for the audio and I cannot control the audio from the locked page like I usually can with other audios.
