Version 3.0 supports importing recipes from Instagram Reels, TikTok, Pinterest, Notion and more! I love being able to have the recipe in one place without having to scroll through the author’s long winded prequel before the recipe is broken up by a million ads. Will be looking elsewhere now! ### 1/5 — Was a great app *2026-02-22* This was such a great and useful app but looks like they had a developer change and added a pay to use option. I get that as an app grows this could happen. Unfortunately years of organizing recipes into categories has been completely erased with no place that shows all recipes. Categories are still there but with no recipes. There is an option to add a recipe then it pulls all of the saved recipes from somewhere to add back onto that category. But as I am selecting the recipes to go back into the categories, the app keeps crashing. Well I guess that was a lie as now I will have to pay now. I really liked this app because all the pop ups on online recipes drives me crazy. But now there is a new version & of course they couldn’t leave good enough alone. The measurements are on the right and in tiny type that makes it harder to read,not to mention they’re off. One recipe has a .67 of a cup??? Where it should have been 2/3 of a cup I keep switching it to a “light theme” and it goes right back to dark. The opening page if mostly blank with a few gray lines. It also wont let me change my emails address I am disappointed in this update **Developer response:** I appreciate you being an original Only Recipes user, and I want to address this directly: your premium access was not a lie. It was a genuine thank-you for your early support, and nothing about that intention has changed. What has changed is that a bug in a recent update appears to have affected your account — and I completely understand how that would feel like a broken promise from your perspective. I'm sorry for that experience. However, I want to gently point out that a quick message via the "Report a problem" button in the app would have had this resolved for you almost immediately. As a solo developer, I take these issues seriously and respond to every message personally. Jumping straight to a review unfortunately doesn't give me a way to actually fix the problem for you, since I have no way of identifying your account to make the change. ### 2/5 — Not working IOS 26 *2025-10-18, version 2.5.0* I love the app. I use it regularly. Recently I keep getting the message “failed to perform actions necessary to launch app”. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still gives me the same message. ### 3/5 — Love it!! Update take away favorite feature?!! *2025-05-22* Had this app for years and love it, only one I’ve find that had everything. My favorite part was saving as recipe cards to send to people. Recently I haven’t been able to see that option. Was it removed? Or change? how to download? This was perfect for sending recipes to my older family or easy printout in a format their use to. **Developer response:** Exporting recipe cards was unfortunately broken during the major UI update. As the developer of this side project, I had to rebuild the app after several years, as the previous version became unstable. However, I clearly missed some crucial details that made the original version work well for you. I appreciate you pointing out specific issues like the measurement formatting (.67 instead of 2/3), the tiny text size, theme persistence problems, and the email address change functionality. These are all valid concerns that I'm actively working to address in upcoming updates. Don’t do that. This is my favorite app and to open it up and find out it was just the last straw of that day. I love the app. Several members of my family use it as well and we can easily exchange recipes that we find. Yes there’s been some issues, but it seems to always get resolved quickly. I love having the recipes I have tried without the stories and scrolling! I’m coming back with an update say the developer of this app is great! They gifted loyal members from the beginning with premium membership. When a glitch happened with this, I sent a message and they resolved it quickly! They are awesome and so is the app! This app makes things so much simpler when you just want to cook a meal. I love not having all the adds and recipe stories/history and just being able to see the ingredients and the steps. I was wrong and this app deserves 5 stars. I will be going back to using multiple times a day and would be happy to pay for a subscription with the new features that were added.
