### 1/5 — Awful Process

*2025-05-07, version 2.16.11*

The process took me to an online portal, the portal does not sync with the app so if you don’t get notifications of pending tasks.

Then they communicate via the app but if you don’t have it you don’t get notified so you’re in a communication black hole.

The amount of work required in a remortgage means it’s more suitable for an online portal via a laptop and so to not have the platform in sync is crazy.

I will look for brokers that don’t use ONP in future or do the remortgage myself and go to another solicitor.

### 1/5 — Terrible application

*2025-03-28, version 2.16.4*

One of the worst experiences I have encountered is to use this app to complete my questionner .
Also to use this I’m paying 25 + Vat . Terrible, it would have been better to go back to paper mode than using this application

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2025-03-13*

It failed at the first two tasks I tried to do:

(1) Filled in the answer to a question - but then found that the “submit” button is under the keyboard, and there’s no way of accessing it.

(2) Had to sign a document, but the signing area is on a pop-up screen, so it moves when you try to scrawl your signature, making it impossible!

Also, reading documents formatted for paper on a phone screen is very inconvenient.

Fortunately, ONP are willing to do everything by email, so we can avoid this app altogether.

### 1/5 — Straight from 2011

*2025-01-15*

The app is just not there. It seems to be a web view not optimised for iOS - the file export feature (critical given we have to archive all the docs) doesn’t work and the overall experience is so poor it makes me miss paper and letters.

ONP is charging us £29 to use the app which means they do have the budget to do something more aligned to the current century.

### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose

*2024-12-21*

Not told application had started as they only communicate through this app. After being told you’ll be sent documents it turns out you have to find messages in this app. Nothing sent by post or email. You’re expected to do everything on your phone. I’d avoid in the future. You need to check with broker that they aren’t using before though which is more organised than most!

### 1/5 — Clunky, awkward and makes the process harder

*2024-12-08*

Some elements like completing the questionnaires etc are straightforward and easy to- but the document upload is seriously flawed and hugely frustrating- it does not have any capability for accessing files held on your device, except photos, so you have to screenshot confidential documents and upload those!! A long way from user friendly or secure….

### 1/5 — Don’t install

*2024-09-30, version 2.15.5*

No not install or use this app. Said legal office cannot tell you why it is needed only alternative is using post. Ignore that and demand to use pdfs via email. Turns out we could do it all by email anyway! What a shocker?

### 1/5 — Cheap, laggy feels fake

*2024-09-27*

Very cheap and poor quality app. You are limited to what photos you can attach as in file types, you can’t navigate and have hundreds of pages to read on a tiny screen! Why not email or online portal like any other professional company. Feels like a one man band company cutting counters doing things as cheap as possible.

### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose

*2024-07-10*

It sounds a great idea, and I loved the steps and progress initially, but then it falls down. Uploading things is a horrible experience - it doesn’t access the iOS photo folder or camera properly to allow you to use any of the filters or tools so it’s endless searching and you’re stuck with a fixed camera focus that is useless for documents. Uploads fail, many, many, many times - with no explanation as to why. And even having finally submitted all the ID documents after all those attempts, my solicitor messaged today saying he hadn’t received anything even though the app has them marked as successfully completed three weeks ago - so it has added a large and unnecessary delay. Everything is duplicated by email as well as through the app as the solicitors themselves don’t trust it - so what exactly is the point of this? It’s meant to make things easier, not more stressful and it fails miserably.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2024-03-23, version 2.14.11*

Awful app that just doesn’t work. Don’t bother

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-02-27, version 2.14.7*

Considering you are charged £35 plus VAT for the pleasure of using this app it’s useless. It worked ok at first but half way through it not longer allows me to input anything into any box. ONP say IT department has been notified. Save you money and opt for the paper forms to be posted.

### 1/5 — A joke

*2024-01-31, version 2.14.7*

What an absolute shambles of an app. Considering this is supposed to be for very important professional documents it is absolutely woeful. App crashes when you try and print anything, files won’t upload, slow, useless all round.

### 1/5 — Waste of time and Money

*2023-10-10, version 2.13.4*

After a promising start, it quickly became clear that this app is a waste of time and money. Save your cash, do it over email.

### 1/5 — Not a good process for property transactions

*2023-09-01, version 2.13.4*

The use of an App like this is not appropriate for property transactions, especially when each circumstance is different overall.

### 1/5 — The verification process doesn’t work

*2023-05-24, version 2.12.85*

Constant loop of verifying email but app not working. Very frustrating.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of time!

*2026-04-17, version 2.17.7*

Login fails and there’s no support! This was supposed to have a 30% time saving capabilities but for such a critical piece of the chain, you’d expect better support.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-04-13, version 2.17.7*

Download it, tried to login and it refused. If this is an app from a ‘professional’ company well…….!

### 1/5 — Awful interface

*2026-03-30*

They try to charge you for using such a shocking app, without making it clear they are charging you for it. This is incredibly unprofessional and a terrible way to handle a mortgage application! I’d expect a decent web interface instead.

### 1/5 — Does Not Work

*2026-02-05, version 2.17.5*

Downloaded app, followed instructions, and it failed at the first hurdle! Verification email does not even come through, so cannot use the app! Waste of time tbh!

### 1/5 — Pooooor

*2026-01-23, version 2.17.5*

Very poor setup and all

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-01-23, version 2.17.5*

This app is utterly pointless. End up having to revert to email. Will ask for a refund.

### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose

*2025-11-10*

Seems like a great idea except all the important information is sent as PDF letters which are impossible to read on your phone. Would much prefer to do this all by email but unfortunately no choice as arranged by mortgage provider.

### 1/5 — This app should be removed because it’s unusable.

*2025-08-01, version 2.16.14*

Waste of time

### 1/5 — Buggy as hell

*2025-06-19, version 2.16.14*

Considering the importance of getting this right, why do companies release such shoddy apps?

### 1/5 — Buggy, cannot save important docs.

*2025-05-30, version 2.16.11*

seems a simple enough app. But you can’t do a critical action. That of saving the many, many, many documents. that are sent you. It just will not save to either my iPhone or other storage services such as Onedrive.

Considering these are hideously long documents, that you have to click to sign that you have read them, is poor.

Do they really expect people to read a 30 page document on their phone screen?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Shocked

*2025-12-13*

Extremely shocked by the negative reviews for this app. I found it unbelievably easy and hadn’t had 1 issue right through to completion.

Do not be put off by the negative reviews, they must be using ancient phones!

### 5/5 — So Thankful!

*2024-06-13*

In what has been the most stressful year of my life, with a looming tight financial time line. ONP made it so easy, the app is easy to use, and tells you when you’ve completed each step so easy to track progress - the chat function is clearly a real person (Robyn) who replied quickly with short clear statements in non technical phrasing, which I found so useful - also from having been charged £150 a email from legal firms per email I send in the past, I was surprised that I wasn’t charged for these questions and answers (Very appreciated). They turned around a re-mortgage and transfer of equity within 3 weeks. (I wouldn’t leave a review normally as I’m lazy but the existing rating seems to be from years ago - which isn’t a accurate reflection of the service now, which I couldn’t be happier with.) Will use them again and recommend)

### 5/5 — App works fine, better than apple mail..

*2023-02-03*

It’s a great app and I had no issues.

### 5/5 — Easy to use and making the process straightforward

*2020-10-01*

So far the app seems to be very intuitive and easy to use to make the process smoother, notifications when new documents uploaded and much easier than filling out paper forms

### 3/5 — App issues

*2025-07-04, version 2.16.14*

Solicitors themselves I can’t fault, kept us informed and quick responses to our queries.

This app though, I can fault. It doesn’t send notifications through despite them being turned on so I had to constantly check the app to look for updates on how our case was progressing and what information was required from us at certain points. If they fixed the notification issue then I would recommend this app

### 3/5 — Slow app and laggy with responses eventually

*2024-05-21*

App starts off well at beginning of the purchase process. Eventually I hear the notifications but when entering the app, there is nothing displayed or nothing to action.

Then all of a sudden, things show up on their randomly in the day. It’s like there’s a lag of a few hours.

Why not just email docs & communication on one thread instead? Makes more sense.

### 3/5 — Confusing and issues with downloading

*2020-12-08*

The process schedule is a little confusing, updates are checked as complete but in my case they have not been EG; Mortgage offer and deeds sent to client.
A dated timeline would be really useful.
In addition docs that are sent via the APP are unable to be downloaded, only read. (I have to request these are sent via email).

On a plus side;
The initial online customer questionnaire worked.
There is a direct messaging tool to use if there are any queries, but I guess email would suffice?

### 2/5 — Notifications stopped working

*2024-08-31, version 2.15.5*

Notification stopped working after the latest update. Please fix!

### 2/5 — Notifications don’t work

*2022-10-05, version 2.12.77*

Notifications are enabled but I never get notified of any updates. I have to keep manually checking/ emailing the team for updates

### 2/5 — Not suitable for property purchase

*2022-05-11*

At the beginning the app works quite well to get the ball rolling, but once you are receiving lots of lengthy documents (about the biggest purchase you’ll ever make) you really don’t want to do that on your phone. There is also no easy way of forwarding messages with various attachments to your email address. So you have to ring the firm and ask them to forward you the whole message by email. It makes it very hard to keep track of which documents you have seen. Why not just do everything by email as the default, and also send via the app if people really want it?
