## What is Onset?

ONSET is the gym app that actually makes you stronger.

No more guessing. Onset tracks your volume per muscle, adjusts your weights automatically, and tells you when to push or recover. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, it adapts to you.

VOLUME PER MUSCLE
• Weekly sets per muscle with color-coded zones: not enough, minimum, optimal, too much
• See instantly if you're doing enough — or overdoing it
• 12-week history with trends and advice

PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD
• Weights adjust every session based on your performance
• Real-time personal record detection
• Progress curves for every exercise

RECOVERY
• Body map showing fatigue for each muscle
• Overtraining alerts + light week suggestions
• Post-session feedback: pump, soreness, performance

PROGRAMS
• Generate your program based on your goals and equipment
• PPL, Upper/Lower, Full Body and more
• Adapts to your level and experience

IN SESSION
• Rest timer with voice announcements
• Rate each set by effort: easy, moderate, hard, all out
• Swap exercises mid-workout if needed

277 EXERCISES
• Animated GIFs for every movement
• Gym, home, bodyweight

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.2 — 2026-05-25

• Slimmer onboarding: 3 slides instead of 4 (Apple Watch slide removed), title + subtitle on each slide, clearer copy.
• Stats, Recovery and Volume pages: new welcome messages for fresh accounts — instead of "No data" we now tell you what to do next.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-05-14

• Exercise filters: the "Arms" pill is split into Biceps / Triceps / Forearms. "Back" becomes Lats / Upper back / Lower back. "Legs" becomes Quads / Hamstrings / Glutes / Calves — find the right exercise without scrolling.
• Routine detail: the trash icon replaces the "⋯" menu in the top right, and you simply tap the routine name to rename it.
• Volume module on home: the two muscles shown follow the order you set on the Volume page (drag to reorder). No more duplication of logic.
• Routines module: muscle chips show precise muscles (Triceps, Quads, …) instead of the catch-all "Arms" / "Legs".
• Routines: empty state fixed — the card no longer floats, it fills the available space properly.
• Routines carousel: slides past page 1 are now pixel-aligned (2px border-math offset fixed).
• In-session sound / voice settings: replaced the web-style centered popup with a native iOS bottom sheet that slides up from the bottom.

### 1.5 — 2026-05-14

• "Start" buttons redesigned with a glass finish — gone are the orange slabs, the app feels premium again.
• On a routine page, a "⋯" icon appears on every exercise: tap it to reveal Replace / Edit / Delete (swipe still works).
• Home greeting nudged down below the bell + profile row so it can breathe.
• Recovery and Steps combined into a single row (two halves) that moves as one unit when you reorder the home.
• Recovery nudge text removed — the score ring speaks for itself.
• Steps card redesigned as a progress ring to visually match Recovery.
• Cleaner launch splash: Onset logo straight away, no zoom animation, unified dark background.

### 1.4 — 2026-05-11

• New "Full Body 30 min" starter routine pre-installed at signup, tailored to your equipment (gym, dumbbells, or bodyweight).
• Simplified onboarding: fewer steps, faster to finish.
• Routine page: icons added to the Logbook / Timer buttons so you can spot your mode at a glance.
• Redesigned "Create a routine" button at the bottom of the list — feels natural, more visible.
• Program module paused while we finalize Routines (a message shows on tap).

### 1.3 — 2026-05-11

• Redesigned Routines module: full-card horizontal carousel, swipe sideways through routines with their key stats, trained muscles, and a Start button.
• Per-routine workout mode: pick Logbook or Timer per workout (strength routines in logbook, cardio/core in timer).
• Isometric holds (Plank, Side Plank, L-Sit): new play button starts a live countdown with 3-second beep, auto-completes at zero, rest timer follows.
• RIR field hidden for hold-mode exercises — meaningless for an isometric hold.
• Cleaner launch screen — one splash instead of two.
