## What is OnsJag?

Plan the hunt. Go live. Record the moments. Keep costs clear.

OnsJag is a mobile hunting event app built for hunters, organisers, outfitters, professional hunters, game farms, accommodation providers and specialist services.

It brings the people, businesses and field activity around a hunt into one shared event space; from planning and invites, to live hunt activity, recorded hits, photos, service visibility and running cost information.

For hunters, it helps you prepare for the event, see who is involved, review the venue and available game or services, follow the hunt as it unfolds, and keep the memories afterwards.

For organisers and providers, it helps reduce admin by keeping event participants, provider businesses, service catalogues, live activity and billing visibility connected to the same event.

What the app helps with:

• Create and manage hunting events
• Invite hunters, organisers, guides, venues and service providers
• View accepted participants and event details in one place
• Use the Live Hunt workspace for field activity and awareness
• Record trophy-related activity with notes, photos and location context where permitted
• Link events to provider businesses and service catalogues
• View running event-level billing and service cost information
• Keep profile, contact, event and business details together

The app is designed for practical use around real hunts: simple enough for the field, structured enough for organisers and providers, and clear enough to help everyone know where they stand.

It also includes responsible-use safeguards. User-generated content is subject to platform rules, and users can report objectionable content or block abusive users to help keep profile, event and media spaces appropriate for the hunting community.

Event data, media, messages and location features are scoped to the relevant app, event, contact and business context. Live location is intended for event safety and field awareness, not public sharing.

Billing screens are for event and service cost visibility only. The app does not currently process payments, card details or bank transactions.

The app does not grant hunting rights, licences, land access, firearm authorisations or legal approval for any activity. Users, organisers, outfitters, farms, guides and providers remain responsible for all permits, laws, safety duties and local requirements.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.8.4 (Beta) — 2026-08-05

This update makes OnsJag faster, more reliable and easier to use both before and during a hunt.

Organisers can now open a pending participant invite, correct the person’s contact details or role, and resend the invitation without first deleting and recreating it.

We have also strengthened offline field use. Prepared events now keep more of their important information on the device, including participants, attached providers, service catalogues and relevant hunting details. This allows Live Hunt, Record Hit and Field Awareness to remain useful when mobile reception is weak or unavailable, with captured information synchronising once connectivity returns.

Business owners and administrators can now import an existing price list directly into their Service Catalogue. Simply upload a document or photograph the price list, review the services identified by the system, and approve what should be added.

This release also includes improved event preparation, more reliable photo-upload recovery, duplicate-upload protection, better cached-data cleanup and a wide range of stability improvements across the app.

### 0.8.1 (Beta) — 2026-08-04

We’ve improved the Event Creation Wizard to make setting up a hunt clearer, faster, and easier to follow.

The updated wizard now guides you through five simple steps:

Event Details
Farm & Venue
Hunters
Additional Providers
Summary

Each step provides clearer guidance, improved navigation, and a more user-friendly layout.

You can also upload a farm or provider price list from a document or photo. The app uses AI-assisted extraction to identify relevant services and pricing, helping you prepare the farm’s service catalogue without entering every item manually.

This update also includes general reliability improvements, interface refinements, and better support for managing participants, venues, and providers during event creation.

### 0.7.8 (Beta) — 2026-07-10

Version 0.7.8 introduces electronic document signing for hunting events. A primary provider, such as a game farm, venue or outfitter, can now require participants to review and sign a Terms and Indemnity document linked to the event.

Providers can use the standard OnsJag document or their own approved document, while participants can review and sign directly in the app. Each signed document is tied to the specific provider, participant and event, with SHA-256 hashing used to protect and verify the integrity of the signing evidence.

This release adds another practical layer of event administration, helping providers and participants keep important agreements clear, traceable and connected to the hunt itself.

### 0.6.26 (Beta) — 2026-06-30

OnsJag version 0.6.26 beta focuses on making the app more reliable, more practical in the field, and easier to use during real hunting events.

This update strengthens several important areas of the app, especially around event creation, provider selection, Live Hunt, Field Awareness, Record Hit, billing visibility, contacts, and mobile usability.

We improved the way people and businesses are handled during event setup.

OnsJag now keeps the distinction clearer between inviting people to an event and adding a business such as a farm, venue, outfitter, guide, or other provider. This helps prevent confusion when searching for a farm or provider and makes the event setup flow more reliable.

Business provider selection is now better aligned with the event workflow, while personal contact requests remain separate.

Contact discovery has been refined so that individual users and business/provider results behave more logically.

Person-to-person connection requests are treated as social/contact actions, while business results are used where they belong — as provider or venue selections for events.

This creates a cleaner foundation for future contacts, provider relationships, and booking-style workflows.

Live Hunt continues to become a stronger field workspace.

The latest work improves chat usability, active-event behaviour, and the way the app supports real-time event coordination. The Live Chat screen has been adjusted so the keyboard behaves better and the message input stays usable while typing.

This is especially important during a hunt, where users need quick communication without fighting the screen layout.

Field Awareness remains one of OnsJag’s most important safety and coordination features.

This version includes work around Android map readiness, Google Maps configuration, and production-build validation. The app continues to support location-based field awareness during active live hunts, helping authorised participants understand where people and activity are positioned in the field.

Record Hit remains central to the live hunting workflow.

Recent work continues to support the direction that hit recording must be quick, practical, and reliable in real field conditions. The app is being hardened so that capturing hit notes, photos, and trophy activity remains usable even when the user is under pressure or working with limited signal.

The next refinement area remains keyboard-aware behaviour on Record Hit note entry, following the Live Chat improvements.

A billing display issue was identified and corrected where the app could fail to load billing information for an event.

The issue was not caused by bad billing data. It was caused by a backend response-schema mismatch. The backend contract has been corrected so billing information can load properly again where event service items are present.

This improves confidence in the event billing visibility flow.

Some devices showed a “session expired” warning while still leaving the user inside the app.

The intended behaviour is now clear: when a session has genuinely expired, the app should guide the user back to login cleanly, rather than leaving them stuck behind a dismiss-only message.

The session duration is also being aligned for longer field use, so users on a multi-day hunting weekend are less likely to be interrupted unnecessarily.

A stale invite issue was identified where an old, no-longer-actionable event invite could continue appearing.

The correct behaviour is that expired or already-handled invites should not keep surfacing as actionable. This protects users from confusing invite loops and helps ensure that current invites remain easy to respond to.

Version 0.6.26 beta is an important stability and usability release.

It improves the practical flow of creating events, adding providers, using Live Hunt, communicating in chat, checking billing, and working with businesses and contacts.

Trophy and live-event photos now sync more reliably and stay linked to the correct live record.

### Safer duplicate review

Possible duplicate hit records can now be flagged and reviewed before confirmation, helping reduce accidental duplicate billing or repeated records.

### Better hunter recording flow

Hunters can record their own hits more naturally, while authorised event staff can still record for participants where allowed.

### Push notification groundwork

The first push-notification foundation has been added for future live updates, invites, connection requests, and recorded-hit alerts.

### Contact discovery and requests

Users can now discover people and businesses more easily and send connection requests separately from event invitations.

### Field map and awareness improvements

Map handling and field-awareness support have been improved to better support live event visibility and future field-location features.

### Better mobile usability

Keyboard handling, password visibility, invite display names, and several form flows have been improved for a smoother mobile experience.

### Business and portal progress

This version also includes progress toward venue, capacity, booking, payment, and web-portal workflows as OnsJag continues moving toward a broader hunting-event and provider platform.

## Beta note

Some live-device features, especially push notifications, field maps, and live-location behaviour, are still being validated as part of the beta process.
