## What is OnTheTown?

OnTheTown answers one question: what's happening in town?

Type any US city — or use your location — and see every event this week and this weekend in one clean feed. Concerts, nightlife, food and drink, comedy, sports, art, markets, family events, and more, pulled together from ticketing platforms, venues, and local businesses, and refreshed automatically every week.

MADE FOR
• Travelers landing in an unfamiliar city who want plans, fast
• Locals deciding what to do tonight or this weekend

WHY ONTHETOWN
• This Week and This Weekend views — two taps to a full calendar
• Nearly 100 US markets: major metros, mid-size cities, and college towns
• Filter by category, price, distance, and free events
• List view or map view
• Save events you're eyeing and build your night out
• Tap through to official ticket pages — no screenshots, no digging
• Free, and no account required

FOR BUSINESSES
Run a venue or host events? Submit your event free from the app's Business section, or ask about promoted placement to reach the top of the feed.

Event details can change — always confirm on the official ticket or venue page. Some ticket links are affiliate links, which support the app at no extra cost to you.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-30

Thousands more events.

OnTheTown now reads local venue and community calendars in every major U.S. city, not just the big ticketing sites. Small shows, markets, trivia nights, gallery openings and community events now show up alongside the arena dates.

Also in this release:

- More accurate start times, taken from the venue's own listing
- Duplicate events merged, so each event appears once
- Cancelled and postponed events are no longer shown
- New artwork for events without a photo
- Businesses can submit their own events from inside the app

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-18

Fixes how event times are shown: events now display their start time instead of an estimated end time. Also fixes two issues with the location search, including a venue name changing your location unexpectedly.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-05

- Events that only link to a venue's calendar now say so
- The location field no longer jumps to the wrong city when you type a venue name
- Unsaving an event removes it from Saved immediately

### 1.0 — 2026-08-14

No release notes.
