### 3/5 — OK App in Need of Update

*2024-11-07, version 10.8.3*

This app is not bad if you can find your way around. The big flaw though, is navigating from the Home Screen to Tickets that you have purchased. There isn’t a single clue that you have tickets waiting to use or how to get to them — real basic stuff. Hopefully, in the next 20 years, big government-like company that they are, we’ll get an upgrade.

### 2/5 — Brain dead

*2023-04-15, version 10.3.0*

App has very long response time. Almost unusable

### 3/5 — Good but having problem w date scroll

*2022-11-16, version 10.2.7*

Can’t scroll dates easily.. it is lagging horribly and can’t select dates in the future or times without severe lag. Otherwise, great app. Running iPhone 13 Pro, latest updates and latest iOS.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2022-08-10, version 10.2.0*

Just started using this app for train times and it included which train track at Grand Central but I just noticed that feature is gone. Which is why I gave this only four stars rather than 5. I hope they bring it back as I see it’s going to merge with the e-tix app.

### 3/5 — Nearest station never detected

*2022-05-02, version 10.0.11*

Train schedules are pretty accurate. My only concern is that it never detects my nearest station when I attempt to put my destination. Instead it always has my home location, which I can even remove to see if it’ll atleast work.

### 4/5 — Thank You

*2022-04-12, version 10.0.10*

Thank you, Developers, for your kind reply and for updating the App.

### 2/5 — Why no track number?

*2022-03-31, version 10.0.8*

The app could be great …. But it has no track number listed.

### 1/5 — Too cluttered!!

*2022-03-29, version 10.0.8*

It was so much easier to read and follow before the update. Now it’s so incredibly cluttered. It looked more direct and to the point before.

### 1/5 — Broken Update

*2022-03-28, version 10.0.7*

Just updated and ZERO schedules are loading

### 1/5 — Horrible after update in Feb/Mar 2022

*2022-03-28, version 10.0.7*

The functionality on the app is terrible now. Cannot save favorites. Must reenter routes every time. Used to love it; no more

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2022-03-25, version 10.0.7*

The update has removed all favorites. It says the locations are stored as favorites but they are no where to be found. Don’t like having to continually enter the departure and destination location even with the location turned on. Annoying to say the least

### 1/5 — Favorite station connections disappeared

*2022-03-24, version 10.0.7*

The latest update has removed my stored favorite stations. The app also automatically defaulted to a different station than I am departing from today after I manually entered the new station, causing me to miss my train because the app was showing me the times for the wrong station.

### 1/5 — Still broken - no location defaults

*2022-03-17, version 10.0.5*

Have to enter destination manually after update. Even with location on.

### 3/5 — Latest version design is step backward

*2022-03-15, version 10.0.5*

Latest design integrates some kind of profile based features which are a waste of time

Train time view has removed countdown display for upcoming trains which was a vital feature

Unable to successfully send feedback to developers via their own app hence this review

Maybe will Try metro north/ mta app.

### 3/5 — Loved it but the update….

*2022-03-14, version 10.0.5*

I use this app for a year now and it was very useful and a good recommended app-it has helped me in so many ways, trust me it was a good app but unfortunately it failed to be useful due to its new update-everytime I leave the page it like erases the schedule. It’s annoying and time consuming to repeat typing in the location. Please change it back🙏🏼

### 3/5 — Good app but starting to get bloated and cumbersome

*2022-03-13, version 10.0.5*

I understand wanting to make improvements but now a train time app has some car pooling feature that gets in the way.

### 3/5 — Great update, but….

*2022-03-11, version 10.0.5*

the track numbers got lost in the update and aren’t showing up as they did in the prior version. Pls update to get you back to five stars!

### 1/5 — was great, but is no longer

*2022-03-11, version 10.0.4*

if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. it used to be simple and quick to find schedules and track numbers for new york’s metro north railroad. now that it has been expanded to other cities, you have to go on a lengthy scavenger hunt, and even then you will probably not be successful. if you don’t want to lose new york commuters, please roll back the update. thanks.

### 1/5 — MNR Update

*2022-03-10, version 10.0.4*

You took a good app and ruined it with the update. Now it’s just a clumsy piece of crap. I’m really disappointed.

### 1/5 — Ruined

*2022-03-09, version 10.0.4*

I used this app often. A recent update, apparently expanding it to many cities, has, for me, ruined it. It was simple and intuitive; now it’s not.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wrong

*2025-12-05, version 10.8.6*

The times are always off there is a notice from August still running. My train is 45 minutes late and showing on time. Worthless.

### 1/5 — Something is wrong!

*2023-05-11, version 10.3.0*

I have used this app successfully for years. But suddenly it's not working properly, despite my uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work!

*2023-05-01, version 10.3.0*

Terrible App! It only gives the train schedule up to 8:44 AM. and that’s all folks. It just stops. It has been doing this for months and there does not appear to be a fix that corrects it. Can’t believe MNR can’t take care of what appears to be a very fixable problem.
It’s also shameful for a RR not to have a functioning train schedule.

### 1/5 — Non-functional Implementation

*2023-01-24, version 10.2.7*

Total garbage app. Tried to install it 3 times but never let me setup account and App crashed each time. Very, very disappointing for such a simple function.

### 1/5 — Used to be good

*2022-12-17, version 10.2.7*

For some reason it freezes when you want to change the time and day.. The LIR app is smooth. Fix this please

### 1/5 — Schedule is still wrong

*2022-08-05, version 10.2.0*

Why does the app say it’s a 530 train to north white plains when it’s now a 529 train? Please fix this app!

### 1/5 — Paid subscription app - now showing ads

*2022-07-26, version 10.1.4*

I’ve been using this app for years ad-free. My assumption was that my subscription for onTime MNR (Premium) was to avoid ads.

As of today the bottom art of app is serving Google Ads. And they’re integrated so poorly that I’m unable to change my departure time, because clicking on the time triggers the ad click.

Way to go guys. Way to go.

### 1/5 — Useless now

*2022-05-17, version 10.1.1*

Why would they remove the platform number
information? How am I supposed to know what train I’m getting on without the platform
number? This app is useless now

### 1/5 — I would give 0 stars

*2022-05-15, version 10.1.1*

It used to be a good app but with carpool or whatever that thing is , the app became useless . Now I have 3 apps to be able to do what this only app used to do

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2022-04-01, version 10.0.8*

Stop spamming me with notifications about the carpool feature. There’s no way to turn them off or hide it.

*2021-11-10, version 9.7.3*

Good app except on holiday schedule times

### 5/5 — MNR

*2021-10-15, version 9.7.3*

Great App to keep you on track!

### 5/5 — EXCELLENT APP!!!

*2021-09-22*

I live in Westchester and SWEAR by this app to be ACCURATE & CLEAR. Also has real time location on trains so you know EXACTLY where you are WHILE RIDING the train.
The announcements, inside eBillboard and station signs are much less clear. This app is a MUST for MNR Commuters and others!

**Developer response:** Great to hear that onTime App is helping with your commute!
