All I really need is the app to work with phone calls & functional call waiting. But twice today, in two separate instances, when I answered the incoming call while on the phone — BOTH the original call and the incoming call were disconnected! I want to silence incoming calls from 9pm to 7am because I WFH and want calls to go straight to voicemail during those hours. It continually gets better and more robust. Love retaining my number when we moved and also could have a local number too, all ringing one phone. Having it ring simultaneously on your cell means you never have to give merchants your cell phone number. Spent time with “regular staff” & “supervisor” - nothing going. I would give ZERO stars if that were possible. ### 1/5 — App is broken, Customer Support is useless *2026-03-01, version 9.2.6* When I try to call back from the Ooma Home Phone a number for a call I missed, the Ooma Home Phone consistently bounces me back to the login screen, with an error message that my password has been changed. The password hasn't been changed since I can successfully login to the app with the existing password. This cycle repeats forever. I contacted Ooma Customer Support via chat. I was told that I need to call the Advanced Technical Support phone number during certain times of the week. No ticket was opened, and no effort was made to resolved the problem. In Ooma's view, the paying customer is responsible for performing work for free on Ooma's behalf, in order to fix what is evidently a broken Ooma app. If I could have given zero stars I would have. This is worse than awful. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-01-10, version 9.2.6* They make it really easy to set up, and extremely difficult if you ever want to cancel. ### 1/5 — Keeps telling me my password has changed. *2025-11-27, version 9.2.6* I am considering dropping my land line and just using Ooma so I thought I’d try the mobile app. I log into the app successfully and try to make a call just to test. It immediately bounces me out to the login screen and tells me it looks like my password has changed. It hasn’t. Uninstalled. ### 1/5 — Can’t make calls from app *2025-10-31, version 9.2.6* Any time I try to make a call through the app, it kicks me out and says my password had recently changed (which it hasn’t). I can log into the app and their web portal with my password without issue. But any phone kicks me out. According to some of the other reviews, I’m not the only one having this issue. Ooma needs to get this fixed. ### 1/5 — Poor designed app with too much animations *2025-07-30, version 9.2.5* The app was designed poorly till 2023 and in 2024 they have added dark mode which is good but too much animation ruins it When making a call it doesn’t list as a recent call until 2-3 days later. Even after making a call using the app there is no recent call history that one can properly use. Recent calls are never updated with the name of the contact. This is poorest implementation of recent calls that I have seen ever since I used since 2020. Would like the upgraded service ~ $12.00 per month that displays incoming calls that are answerable within APP, though unable to justify the cost as most (~ 90% +) of incoming callers are unfiltered SCAM/ solicitors/ hangups/ surveys. Ooma telephone service would be better if somehow the fake scam solicitation callers were automatically blocked and the full service was around ~ $8.00 or $9.00 total with taxes included each month.
