I enjoyed using this app for a long time. And I have to say that as a blind user, the app is very accessible. However, the issue that needs addressing is that there are several broken links on there that might be for stations that no longer work if you could please update this this app would be perfect. ### 4/5 — Wrong time zone. The only thing missing is an update for Apple Watch support to listen independently of having an iPhone. I've tried Pocket Tunes, Wunder Radio, and several other radio streaming apps and ooTunes is the only one that can access all the stations I listen to even one that is no longer available on the radio. Customer support is great with quick responses. I am considering purchasing the 4 years of server access for $19.99. Update 2/19/17: So HAPPY to see ooTunes updated. So far it is still excellent. After the updates all my favorites stations were still listed under the Favorites tag and buffered well. This has always been my favorite music app for streaming my local and other stations. Nearly every link I click on is dead. I emailed to ask for my favorite station to be added as the current link is dead. No response. I really love it!!!!!!! ### 2/5 — Ootunes sinking *2025-02-15, version 4.0.4* The app is pretty okay, but the biggest problem I find with it is that favorites don’t sync across multiple devices at all. So that means I have to search for all the stations I want and save them across my 3 iPhones and 2 iPads individually which is pretty damned awful. Can’t really export the audio but for live steaming most broadcast streams - this app rules. Even has live rewind. ### 5/5 — The Best *2024-11-14, version 4.0.4* I’ve been using this app since 2009 on one iPhone or another. I love live radio and am able to find streams from across the world. I’m able to automatically record my favorite shows, and play em back later. In this day and age, all you need is your trusty phone, OoTunes, and a portable speaker and you’ve got the world. Over the years, I’ve corresponded with the developer, who is receptive and available. ApplePlay on the car still doesn’t want to give it an icon, but Bluetooth does the job. 5 stars. ### 4/5 — Needs update *2024-09-19, version 4.0.4* This app continues to be my favorite app for radio stations. It consistently works well with voiceover. People have commented that the alarm clock is primitive, however, it is also simple to use and works consistently. Perhaps an update would be helpful just so the app isn't removed from the App Store. recently I've noticed that screens do not appear quite the way they once did. It repeatedly gives me the message that this is no longer available. I am listening to CNN, and it says will be right back with such and such, which I am eager to listen to, but ooTunes keeps playing commercials, and doesn’t start the next segment at the beginning of it, in fact often starts it close to the end of the next segment. No reply to email request. *2024-06-25, version 4.0.4* Honestly, 5 dollars will not not break me, also the app developer put time in to develop this great idea, so I have no issues with the money. It IS amazing for visually impaired. But it is littered with dead links. I did follow the instructions how to request a link to be added. Crickets for weeks now. I’m not mad. This is a monumental task to maintain the links. But, there comes a time, where great ideas turn on themselves and might be time to end it. When I first downloaded it, it was the best streaming radio player available, and it still is. It has by far the best catalog of streaming radio or audio sources, search able by genre, location or name. Even better, if you find a stream in the wild, it isn’t in the library developer is quick to add them upon request. You can save the station if you like what you are listening to. There are so many radio stations to choose from. Not only can I search for my favorite stations and add them to Favorites, but I also have the option to record the station for situations where I don’t have internet access. I used to have an app named TuneIn Radio, but deleted it since the recording feature was removed and changed to paid subscription.. I also want to take a moment to give a shoutout to Steve at OTunes Help. A couple weeks ago, I submitted a request to update one of my favorite stations, 95.3 The Beat. The station was previously an alternative rock station, but it was changed in 2021. Steve updated the station info the next day, and I felt a sense of satisfation and joy.
