## What is Open Docs?

OpenDocs is a clean, local-first document viewer for the files you already have. Open PDFs, Word, Excel, Markdown, text, CSV, JSON, XML, and RTF files from Files or other apps, then return to them with saved reading history.

• Browse recent files by name, format, and favorites.
• Read text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, XML, and RTF in a focused viewer.
• View PDFs with zoom and efficient page loading.
• Preview DOCX and XLSX while keeping the native full-fidelity viewer path available.
• Share documents or open them in another compatible app.
• Choose light, dark, or system appearance, text size, wrapping, and resume position.

OpenDocs does not require an account and includes no ads, analytics, or tracking SDKs. Document references and reading history stay on-device; document contents are not uploaded to OpenDocs or a remote conversion service. The optional Support the author screen loads a QR image from VietQR.
