### 2/5 — Clunky, a horrible app. Potential, but horrible.

*2025-12-10*

This app is so glitchy, when you open a support ticket, it takes a week for them to respond. Even upon response, nothing gets remedied, it’s no good. We use this app to buy tickets for some lifestyle events, that is all it is good for.

### 2/5 — Fix please

*2025-03-07*

Overall app looks better but is glitchy, can’t copy and paste my own profile. Only reason I wanted to do that was delete my account for my last town I was that my current account thinks I live in. I moved 300 miles away yet showing me people near my old address. Lots of potential here but needs fine tuning.

### 2/5 — Cannot create account only in certain counties

*2025-02-23, version 2.62*

Terrible if you travel, doesn’t work in many places. Difficult to create an account. Need better software developers working on this

### 2/5 — Potential But Not Hitting the Mark

*2024-11-02, version 2.62*

It has potential, and I like that it is very inclusive of ENM relationships

However, once it reaches a profile outside of your range, it gets stuck on that profile and forces you to expand your range. No reason for me to come back and check the app regularly, because it’s just… stuck. I would rather the app show “nobody else in your range” honestly

Definitely buggy and a bit slow, sometimes takes multiple taps on an icon to navigate around

### 1/5 — No one answers

*2024-10-24, version 2.62*

No one answers

### 1/5 — Waste of money and time

*2024-10-10, version 2.62*

All people on there were from way too far.
I did have one match with a woman who turned out to be a scam. She was asking for money to help her with her divorce

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2024-09-05, version 2.62*

I’ve tried similar apps and got my share of responses. This app? Nada, zip, not even a nibble. I’m not Mr perfect by any means. But I work my lane and I do okay. I had to delete this app because it was making me sad. That’s the opposite of what a dating app should do.

### 1/5 — Had to delete. App will not update distance

*2024-09-01, version 2.62*

I had my search results set to 25 miles. When you run out of matches in that range, instead of saying that you have no more people to search for, the app forces you to increase the search result distance. It won’t even allow you to swipe left until you increase the search results. I played that game until I got to a 50 mile radius

### 1/5 — Seems legit

*2024-08-20, version 2.62*

But, all but a few are a hundred or more miles away (and I live near Chicago!). I guess you get what you pay for.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-08-14, version 2.62*

Here’s my theory. People download this app, can’t find anyone, and it’s not obvious how to delete their profile so they just abandon it. It’s a growing community of dead profiles and no one likes anyone because no one actually uses the app.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2024-08-12, version 2.62*

Doesn’t work, don’t waste your time

### 1/5 — Too few people but love the concept

*2024-06-22, version 2.62*

In Tacoma WA and even a 40 mile radius leaves much to be desired. Surprising how few are here including from Seattle

### 2/5 — I feel ripped off

*2024-05-19, version 2.62*

I'm newly ENM and have been looking for apps that cater to that - #Open came recommended on several sites, so I decided to try it's out. For context, I'm straight man in my mid 30s. I liked a fair amount of women, then was told I was had "run out of" likes. I pair for a month of additional likes, only to immediately discover any users left were more than 3X my maximum distance. It's been almost 4 days and I have no new users in my area. Will probably use the app until my subscription is up, but I'm sitting here without no likes frustrated I invested time and money in a dead app.

### 4/5 — Has Potential

*2024-01-23*

This app has great potential and i can see it. The software feels sloe and a little out dated tho. Its very slow and theres a bug where everytime you find someone out of range, it wont let you go to a different profile up until you up the distance up and thats a problem when im looking for people that are pretty close. And liven up the software, it looks like a 1980's website. But other then that i love the idea of the hashtags and the search bar and everything else. Keep up the great work😁😁😁😁

**Developer response:** Hello and thanks for the review! Happy to report we're in dev on a brand new, updated version of #Open that we're super excited to share. The update brings a fresh, sleek look to the app while also introducing new features that will boost engagement. We hope you'll check it out once we launch and let us know what you think!

### 1/5 — Great App With A Tiny User Base

*2023-12-31, version 2.62*

Update (12/31/23): I tired this app two years ago and it wasn’t great. It’s even worse now. The free version is a joke. 14 total swipes a day?? Please. There’s still no user base to speak of, and I live in one of the kinkiest cities in the country. Don’t waste your time or money. Someone really needs to step up and fill the void left by the collapse of Feeld.

Original review: I think this has potential to be one of the best dating apps, if not the best for non-monogamous/poly people. The list of interests/kinks/turnoffs is endless and helps you connect with likeminded people. No other app has this level of detail. Unfortunately the user base is really small. I live in a metro area of over 2 million people and I made it through every user within 25 miles in less than an hour. The lack of distance cutoff is also a problem. It’s not helpful to see people hundreds of miles away once you’ve seen all the people near you. It’s also impossible to know if the people you’re seeing have logged into the app recently. Did they make a profile a year ago and never log in again? This seems to the be the case. I’ve made exactly one connection that wasn’t a scammer or bot. It’s very reasonably priced compared to the other apps, but some advertising would really help. Otherwise it’s a dead app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2026-01-21*

Pretty much it.

### 1/5 — App super glitchy

*2025-11-01*

The app only requests Private Access of photos but then denies my ability to upload photos for the profile signup…so I’m not even able to log in to contact support. I’ve tried every which way to change the privacy settings on my phone but the issue is actually with the app dev team…

### 1/5 — Crashes CONSTANTLY

*2025-10-22*

This app has so much potential. It has great features and design. Unfortunately, it crashes every 3 minutes or so, making it impossible to actually use.

### 1/5 — App problems

*2025-06-26*

I can’t even login to begin with it keeps saying the verification number sent to my phone expires when it was typed in within 5 seconds . I did this over and over and even deleted the app a few times .

### 1/5 — Not functional

*2025-06-26*

The App used to work. Now it doesn’t. Functionality is gone and it doesn’t let you remove anyone who’s not a good match. Freezes in the “likes you” area and you can’t get out without exiting the app.

### 1/5 — update issue

*2025-03-07*

the new update doesn't work with the larger text display setting. i can't scroll down to view profile info without switching to default display.

### 1/5 — Like poly tinder, but worse

*2025-02-18*

I recently thought I’d give the apps a try as a poly person and couple. This app is creatively devoid of anything new… not that that’s a bad thing per se. It’s just nonmonogamous Tinder—except where it doesn’t function. Right now I have my radius set to 25 miles which is the MINIMUM distance. I live in NYC, I’m not dating someone outside of the city let alone a different STATE. But here’s the real rub: you’re given small free amount of potential matches everyday—again, just Tinder—but if you are suggested a match outside of 25 miles? You can’t skip it. You can’t turn them down or accept them. You have to raise your maximum distance ABOVE their distance THEN say no to them. 🤦🏻

### 1/5 — Account Issue

*2024-12-12, version 2.62*

Messages to “Support” go unanswered. For weeks. Hasn’t updated in over a year. It’s abandonware - a ghost town - and no one is on it. Even the people who’re supposed to be answering the support messages have bailed.

### 1/5 — Most specific and in depth dating app so far with no one on it

*2024-12-06, version 2.62*

Honestly the best app out there as far as ways to identify yourself, sexuality and relationship types. Profile options and freedom is great. Top that off with the lack of fake/spam accounts and the surprisingly amazing quality of those who end up on this app it’s truly amazing.

Only issue… there is no one on this dead app. Absolutely a waste of time being here.

### 1/5 — Tricked

*2024-11-29, version 2.62*

Doesn’t tell you until after you set everything up and fill out a profile you only get 15 or so swipes per day… I’m extremely picky and that won’t work for me .

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — OPEN all the way

*2026-03-22*

I love open, it gives me so many people in my area. The app is very inviting and welcoming. Met my partner on here almost a month ago!

### 5/5 — Open

*2026-02-20*

I love this app and that both me and my partner can see what the other is doing

### 5/5 — Refined, Real, and Respectful

*2025-06-17*

#Open makes it easy to connect, play, and actually meet like-minded couples—without the weird vibes. Way better than the old-school sites. This is how it should be.

### 5/5 — Very niche

*2025-06-12*

I love this app for my local community of Ls Poly

### 5/5 — Good app

*2025-03-11*

I found my fiancé on here.

### 5/5 — Awesome app for ENM

*2022-05-26, version 2.35*

This is the best app around for ENM and poly connections. User base is very large. I’m a single male but connected with a couple the first night. We’ve now been texting for about a week and planning on meeting up. This app is awesome!!

### 5/5 — Great idea and great app

*2022-05-12*

I’ve used many dating apps. Being polyamorous on most of them is a problem. On #open it’s the norm. This makes it feel very inviting. The inclusivity and openness (pun intended) is refreshing and very much appreciated. Their options and language is a big part of creating space for people at any point on the non-monogamy spectrum.

The setup of interests, limits, looking for, etc is very helpful and easy to use. I highly recommend this app.

**Developer response:** Hey there! Thanks so much for the positive review and sharing your experience with using #open! #open was created by members of the non-monogamous community so those exploring open relationships would have a space to connect with others without shame and stigmatization - it's great to hear you're finding that inclusivity while connecting in-app!

### 5/5 — ENM connections

*2021-12-20, version 2.28*

I’ve been on #open for just over 2 years and consistently find good quality matches, including 2 partners within that time. Love the option to view and undo my previous Like/Pass. I’ve been a supporting member since the option was introduced and really like the option to see who likes me, makes it easier & faster to match.

### 5/5 — LET’S POPULATE open❗️

*2021-11-04, version 2.27*

I’m looking forward to more people in our area using this app! We use a couple other apps but this one is the most progressive and slick. The paid version is reasonable unlike many of the other apps.

### 5/5 — Could be easier to use

*2021-10-20, version 2.26*

I love this app but it could be easier to use especially linking partner profiles with my wife and setting boundaries. It feels buggy with extra weird buttons but shows promise.

Thank you for the reply. I eventually did figure out the problem and we were able to link our profiles. Love the app.
