## What is Open Habit?

Open Habit is a private, offline-first habit tracker for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, built around small daily steps and ownership of your data.

Build routines your way
Create habits with daily targets and optional streak goals. Add Completions from the app, interactive Home Screen widgets, or Shortcuts. Review your history in a rolling grid and monthly calendar, and add a private Day Note when context matters.

Track from your wrist
Use the Apple Watch companion to view your habits and record Completions. Changes synchronize with your paired iPhone.

Share with people you choose
Turn a personal Habit into a Shared Habit for a small invited group. Everyone keeps their own Completions, and each person’s Day Notes and organization stay private.

Private by design
Tracking works offline. There is no Open Habit account, advertising, analytics, or hosted Open Habit data service. Your private data stays on your devices and in your private iCloud database when sync is available.

Your data remains portable
Export a complete JSON backup, restore it later, or import supported HabitKit version 2 exports. Open Habit also saves a local recovery backup before replacement, import, and deletion.

Open Habit is free and open source, with no ads or in-app purchases. View the source, report issues, and contribute at https://github.com/zamai/open-habit.
