## What is Open Location?

Map Switcher App in form of a streamlined iOS-share-extension.

There are many good apps for navigation and map display. Unfortunately, it's currently not possible to exchange locations between different map apps. However, most apps offer the option to share a location. And that's precisely where this app comes in. You share a location and then select the "OPEN LOCATION" action provided by this app.

EXAMPLE USAGE: I found a point of interest on Google Maps or Yelp. I share it via the "OPEN LOCATION..." action. Then I choose e.g. 'TomTom', because this might be my favorite app for car navigation. Or I could choose 'UBER' to order a ride. Or maybe 'Outdooractive' to hike to this location. Et cetera, etc...

Everyone should be able to find good use of combining his/her existing apps with each other in new ways.

Mehr als 90 % aller auf Google Maps gesuchten Ziele lassen sich durch Öffne Ort nicht mehr teilen. D.h. dann immer, Ort kann nicht ermittelt werden. Schade

**Developer response:** Ihre Rezension war mir leider entgangen. Es hat sich zwischenzeitlich herausgestellt, dass sich der Google-Map Share-Link geändert hat. Selbstverständlich wurde das hier in der App wieder gerade gezogen und kann seit v1.17 wieder wie gewohnt genutzt werden.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden! Entwickler hat super schnell reagiert und die Option für CoMaps integriert.
Ich würde mir noch wünschen, dass man Gespeicherte Orte einzeln und gesamt als KML-Datei(en) exportieren kann. Eine Ordnerstruktur bei den Gespeicherten Orten fände ich ebenfalls sehr hilfreich.

Sehr oft erscheint obere Meldung aus Google Maps auf dem iPad.
Viele Markierungen haben nur GPS-Koordinaten und keine Adresse.
z.B. Wanderparkplätze
(UPDATE) Nach obere Rezession wurde der Fehler schnell korrigiert. Hervorangender Support 👍

**Developer response:** Vielen Dank für die Info - es war mir nicht bekannt, dass es da ein sporadisches Problem mit Google Maps gab. Mit Update 1.34 sollte es behoben worden sein.

24.04.2026: Reagiert sehr schnell auf Emails, Fehler und entsprechende Updates! Super!!! - Sehr schnelle Hatte das Problem daß "Pocket Earth" die Position nicht an TomTom übertragen konnte. Habe den Entwickler per eMail darauf hingewiesen. Bereits am nächsten Tag (MORGENS !!!) brachte er ein neues Update raus. Nun klappt es. Super App! Super Service. Bin auf weitere Updates und Neuerungen gespannt.

Die App ist wirklich ein Geheimtipp 👍🏻 Es war noch nie so einfach zwischen den Kartenapps zu wechseln. Auch durch die URL Anbindung kann ich jetzt einfach über einen Kurzbefehl die aktuelle Position in einer Erinnerung speichern und dann einfach per App meiner Wahl öffnen 👌🏻 Ein Traum. Super Entwickler 👨‍💻 Der schnell Antwortet und noch schneller auf Probleme reagiert ❤️

Also 5 Sterne sind eigentlich zu wenig … 
Endlich einfach von einem
Kartendienst zum Nächsten … von Google Maps zu TomTom (ist doch besser im Auto) oder auch zu Outdoor active … weil das ist doch besser beim Wandern als Google!

Das alles einfach testen … wenn’s Gefällt die 2 Euro zahlen und komplett nutzen! 

Verbesserungsvorschlag: auch über Teilen Menu die App ansteuern können würde es noch einfacher machen als über die Zwischenablage.

**Developer response:** Freut mich zu hören! Das "Teilen" geht eigentlich auch ohne Zwischenablage. Z.B. Teilen in Kartenapp, dann "Öffne Ort..." Aktion wählen. Falls diese Aktion zu versteckt sein sollte -> man kann die Liste der Aktionen auch selber konfigurieren.
