### 5/5 — Fun dark fantasy / weird fiction

*2024-12-29*

What a gem! Really enjoyed the story, and like the replayability that adds depth without pointless grind.

### 5/5 — great writing and excellent replayability

*2024-06-08*

I downloaded this before a long period offline and it didn’t disappoint. I must have replayed it at least two dozen times exploring the new pathways that different choices open up. I’d recommend this for anyone who enjoys text-based branching stories!

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2021-11-16*

I stumbled on this game just randomly browsing yesterday and I just couldn’t put it down! I love how it takes such a simple concept and turns it into something introspective and emotionally impactful. It probably helps that I’m a software developer so a lot of inside jokes related to software development tickled me. But, that humor isn’t entirely required to follow the story and I think anyone could follow the game quite easily. HIGHLY recommend you give it a try :)

### 5/5 — Absolutely astonishing storytelling

*2018-02-27*

This game took my breath away. There’s a sense of a fearless imagination behind this that’s amazing and exciting. Can’t wait to see what else she’s working on.

### 5/5 — I do not use the word “masterpiece” lightly...

*2018-01-10*

...but there is no other that I can substitute, apart from possibly “genius”.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal game

*2017-05-20*

In this text-based RPG, you play as a combination firewall/fire elemental, protecting a few people and places from magical and technological threats. If you're like me, that's enough to try it out, and if you do you won't be disappointed.

It's short-ish and linear, but there are so many things to learn and try it has good replayability. I'm very looking forward to Open Sorcery 2.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2017-05-01*

A very fun and creative game, really enjoyed it.

### 5/5 — This Game Needs to be Bought!

*2017-03-22*

Not only was this game incredibly moving and intuitive, but the game was just straight up fun. Everybody should buy this game. You there! You reading this right now! Buy this game! Do it!

### 5/5 — Wonderful Gem

*2017-03-12*

Learned about Open Sorcery at PAX East. If you're a fan of choose your own adventure stories and the thematic content being presented here, you're in for a nice little ride.

### 4/5 — Fun game with some save bugs

*2017-02-25*

This game is really fun and has a large variety of different paths one can take, which provides a lot of replay value. However, the save and achievement systems are completely broken. Every time I restart the app, all my saves are missing, and when I try to save on slot 5, it reloads slot 4 instead. Achievements disappear when I restart the app too. When these issues are addressed, this will be a five star game. As it stands, you need to play all the way through in one sitting.
