Booked an oil change via the app for 9am. Showed up 10 minutes early. Was told the shop was totally swamped and that it could take them up to 6 hours to get to it! What's the point of making an appointment via an app if there's no communication between the shop and the app? I think its challenging finding great mechanics who aren’t there to rip you off. Openbay allows you to comparison shop amongst the top mechanics in your area in minutes. I was looking for an affordable price for an oil change for my Honda Odyssey. I found one at an affordable price of $60 at Uptown Automotive in San Bruno, CA. So I made the appointment. Next morning I drove to Uptown Automotive to get the oil change. The mechanic/owner I spoke with said the the oil change is actually $120. Twice the price from what was on OpenBay. Fortunately I was able to make a deal with the owner Dave.
