. Korrektur: am 9. August 2026 gelöscht funktioniert bei mir nicht mehr Abo gekündigt. Ich vermute die Nutzer Grenzen wurden massiv geändert. Ich hätte zwar noch 2 M Token gehabt, nützt mir aber nichts mehr da die Grenzen massiv geändert wurden, gibt mir keine Antwort mehr aus irgendwelchen Gründen auch immer abgerechnet wird trotzdem. 
Da ich die Ursache nicht weiß, nur ein Stern Abzug, musste mir eine andere App zulegen.
Funktioniert noch löschen und Neuinstallation gar nicht mehr. 2M guthaben, die ich noch hatte, sind auch komplett verschwunden. Hab die App wieder gelöscht.
Das mit den automatischen Blocks bei Claude wird erst ab 14. August 2026 eingeführt. Also das dürfte wegfallen, weil der 14. August noch nicht ist.👎

Coming from Jan, this seems like a great app considering it feels native, fast and syncs with my mobile app

Here are some issues:
1. It used to crash a lot earlier, not these days
2. Projects support is still not there. I occasionally forget what I wrote and grouping them would be helpful.
3. Shortcuts would be a great help for the Mac app

I self host my own AI server and this app works great, you just point it to your domain/IP of your server and that’s it. I use cloud based models on my server so most are extremely fast!!

Nice UI, but Pro isn’t usable for my main need: using my own OpenAI API key. On macOS 26.0 (M1), OpenCat 2.80.0 (1700) shows “You need an API Key to use Pro,” yet there’s nowhere to paste one. Settings > General > Default Model only shows a “Cloud Plan Free Trial” popup; no “use your own key” option. I checked every tab (General, Pro, Cloud, Menubar, MCP), tried hidden clicks, menubar assistant, even set OPENAI_API_KEY at the system level — the app ignores it. The FAQ says it will use a local key by default, but this build doesn’t.

If BYO key isn’t supported on macOS anymore, please say so clearly before purchase. If it is supported, the input field is either missing or buried so well even a truffle pig couldn’t find it. I’ve contacted support and requested a refund for Pro, as I bought it specifically for BYO key. Happy to change this review if it gets fixed or documented.

1. Voice chat : Not working at all 0/10.
2. Chat default models:  you can't change the default model for the chat. Use don't have less control over which model should appear in a chat. Let's say I added only Gemini keys but instead of showing just Gemini app shows other models which you can use like GPT etc. Very poor 2/10
3. In keyboard you can't modify Rewrite or Reply prompts. Not practical 6/10. 

No serious effort from the development team for ios app.

After the most recent uodate, as of this review, using your local LLM with this app is impossible. No model outside the cloud platform is selectable in anyway. I can validate the providers source but I can’t then select those models. Very disappointing as I just got used to using this app.

It is 100% impossible to download any extra local AI. I have tried with my iPhone 16E countless times and NEVER have I been able to go beyond 50% of a download. Extremely annoying and infuriating. I will stick to Locally AI IOS instead😡1star because I cannot put 0stars!!!
