## What is OpenGrants Wallet?

The OpenGrants Wallet is a non-custodial digital wallet built on Stellar. For participating grant programs, it allows grant awardees to verify their identity and receive funds in the form of USDC within seconds, from anywhere in the world. Once funds are received, all or portions of the money can be held in the wallet forever, sent/received with other OpenGrants wallets, and/or transferred to a digital exchange to convert to any currency. Stellar USDC is issued by regulated US financial institutions, backed by fully reserved assets, and redeemable on a 1:1 basis for US dollars.
