I also love being able to look at the schedules so I can plan ahead. However the app no longer works. Everything is blank. I checked different busses and trains but there’s nothing available. Hitting refresh doesn’t do anything. I even tried removing and re-downloading the app still no display. Nothing is shown no matter what. Please fix this issue so that it can be used again. ### 3/5 — Not working. *2019-03-25, version 1.5.1* Absolutely nothing is showing up. No schedules for anything i have clicked. Now completely useless. ### 1/5 — Recent update not good *2018-08-27, version 1.5.1* I updated my iPhone app recently, and used it for the first time since the update. After fiddling around and figuring out my bookmarks, I was able to set them up again. Not a straight forward process. What I really don’t like about this update is that I no longer see the route number associated with the bookmarked route. I would suggest fixing this in the new update. I deleted and reloaded, but the data is not loading!! Have used this for 6 years and miss it. Please fix OPEN MBTA!!!! ### 2/5 — Spotty Performance *2018-04-02, version 1.5.1* Got repeat reminders in the app over the last week or so that MBTa schedules would be changing on 4/1, so I wasn’t surprised when my bookmarked routes didn’t work this morning. I undid my saved routes but when I went to re-bookmark then there were absolutely no bus/subway/train routes visible. That was at 7:30 this morning and now at 2:30 in the afternoon there still isn’t anything visible in the app. This same thing happened when the T switched to the winter schedule. ### 4/5 — Was broken, now fixed *2017-09-29, version 1.5.1* Edit: Today I opened the app and all the routes are back and the app is fully functional again. This is my favorite of the MBTA apps so I am relieved it's back. Thank you to the devs! Original review: Opened the app today to messages telling me that some database changes require me to delete my bookmarked bus routes. After doing so, no bus routes are visible at all, just a blank screen. Oh, except for the ads. So I can see an ad but nothing else. ### 1/5 — Schedules disappeared *2017-04-27, version 1.5.1* What happened to all the schedules? The app said my bookmarks were out of date, I re-downloaded a couple of times and nothing. The app is now garbage! ### 1/5 — Basic ally functional, but... *2016-01-18, version 1.4.1* I have used this app for a couple of years. It works OK with one glaring exception. It sorts the inbound and outbound trains by departure time from the outermost stop. The problem is, 5 trains per day on my line (FITCHBURG) do not originate at the outermost stop. The algorithm used by this app puts all of these trains at the end of the day. As a result the "next train" function as well as the schedule displayed within the app are inaccurate. Sounds like not a big deal but I have alerted the developers twice about this bug over the past year+ with no result. I wouldn't bother with this app since the developer has no interest in making it function correctly. ### 3/5 — Very good *2015-03-19, version 1.4.1* I Was looking for a good bus schedule found this. I like the real time it is close, though I have had so problems that keep it at 3 stars some times it will not display the realtime and the estimated time is off I would like them to add notifications so you can chose a stop and have it tell you it's there or tell you an eta when it is closer to your stop so if you know it takes 5 min to walk to your stop have it tell you it's 10 min away so you give your self time to get there ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2023-09-11* Confirming other reports from recent years - this app still doesn’t work. Up until last week, I began to have have some issues: there is no data updating bias routes. I'm writing this review in hopes that the developer will recognize the issue and resolve it. ### 5/5 — Data no longer available (edit: was fixed) *2018-04-03, version 1.5.1* I love this app and use it religiously for tracking my buses in real time, but as of today it made me delete my bookmarks and now there is no data. Realtime and scheduled info is great ### 5/5 — Pretty Darn Good *2014-10-21, version 1.4.1* The best free MBTA tracking app that I know of. Even if you have a favorite, this is certainly worth a download so as you have another option available. The update for iOS 8 brings the now familiar “flat” look, and despite a few oddities, it continues to work quite well. ### 5/5 — Good utility *2014-10-09, version 1.4.1* Omg! First update in 4 years! Works under OS8!!! Useful for people familiar with the bus system. You choose your bus by route number and the nearest stop is shown with estimated times. If you do not know your route number, this is not the app for you. You cannot select a route based on your location. This can be frustrating if you're in a different part of town than usual or you have multiple bus options as you need to punch in each route. One route is displayed at a time, so planning connections is cumbersome. You can bookmark routes, but lately that feature requires you to delete and recreate them when the underlying data changes. I have been using this app since 2009 regularly. There have been no updates since 2010. ### 5/5 — Excellent App *2014-06-11, version 1.3* This app works great for traveling into and out of Boston. I love how it gives me accurate schedules and realtime arrival times that reflect any delays a bus or subway line may be having. I use it every day for my commute into work in Boston. The bookmarks are an excellent feature that allow you to quickly check out your most used routes. I highly recommend this app. ### 5/5 — Great for Tourists *2012-07-16, version 1.3* I was recently a tourist in Boston and this app was so very useful to me for getting around on the subway and matching it up with different places around the city. Being able to see the silver line in real time is great and has helped me tremendously.
