Amazing As a person living with a chronic health issue doctor visits have taken up so much time in my life. I can't believe I haven't used DD sooner. I'm so happy I've utilized this amazing tool for my health and time management. I hope one day to see immunologists or other specialty doctors on here to help people like myself with the bulk of our needs!! Right now I'm so grateful to have found this. The app is fantastic and simple to use. I was able to see a doctor in minutes, even on a holiday when most doctor offices and clinics are closed. The doctor I saw was kind and knowledgeable and called a prescription in for me. In my PJs before I was getting ready for work. Now I have a Rx waiting for me on my way to work. I signed up at 11AM, she saw a doctor at 11:08, I picked up the prescription and she had an antibiotic by noon without getting out of bed. For $75 (my insurance didn’t cover it but I used my HSA), less than the cost of urgent care and without the exposure to germs, travel, receptionists, etc. Wow!!!!!! But when you have a newborn and you have a skin rash out of nowhere you do. I spoke with a doctor who was kind and attentive and was able to diagnose my issue AND order my prescription in ten minutes. They were able to diagnose her right away and send in a prescription immediately. Once for a cold and the other for a UTI. The doctors were great! When you’re not feeling well, the last thing you want to have to do is run out to a doctor appointment and then have an expensive bill in the end. Dr Gibbs was courteous, caring, concerned and very helpful with his exam and diagnosis. With his help and the app and camera there was no need to go to an urgent care center. Saved me time and big money and I got 1st class Service and a 1st class exam. I have seen doctors before face to face who didn’t do 1/2 the exam I got today. Highly recommend!!! But have to make an appointment or go pay the ER or UC hundreds of dollars for them to tell us what we already know, just to get a prescription for our ailment. I have used Dr. near me: OpenMed twice now on my breaks at work. Which means I didn’t have to beg my boss to let me out of work early for a doctors appointment. Fantastic. No waiting in the ER or Urgent Care! You wait in the comfort of your own home! And on top of it all your wait time is less than 15mins. Thank you ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This app is useless *2019-09-13, version 2.39* If you want an appointment, good luck with this app. I was told by the hospital I wanted an appointment at that in order to make an appointment, they need my demographics, insurance information, and a diagnosis and/or symptoms in order to make the appointment. Open Med called them, gave them my name, phone number and address (that’s it) and tried to tell the hospital they needed to call me, which the hospital cannot do. What is the point of an app making an appointment for me when they can’t even do that!?! You might as well call the hospital yourself and make the appointment because that will be more productive than installing this app. ### 5/5 — What a relief! *2020-03-14, version 2.45* My doctor visit was exactly what I needed.
