It is powered by The PASSsystem care management platform. openPASS extends the view of the view of the care purchased by the care receiver by allowing registered users to access the customer’s Care Notes and Care Plan. People who will be able to access openPASS for free include healthcare workers, family and friends of the care receiver. The unique, patent pending application provides inclusive access to all real-time care plans and records. This opens up communication channels; the family, residential care and homecare providers can now all work alongside each to gain access to relevant information and transform care delivery. This is more than a technology solution. It's a new way of thinking about openness, transparency and sharing care to reshape the health and care system fit for the 21st century. You are able to access openPASS on any smartphone or tablet for FREE for 30 minutes while in the care receiver’s home, limited to one session per day. The developers haven’t done a bad job here. I’ve seen both the Customer end (Carers) and the Client end (Patient and family) and given the task complexity it’s relatively well laid out. It’s not the easiest to understand on the client side and some work should be done on that- happy patients and families make the Care Companies lives easier after all. My biggest gripe would be the inability for the patient/family to record anything to the main record eg urine output/Bowel movement/ high temperature/ Hypo etc Nor to be able to see what was recorded against these on a care visit readily as this would greatly assist handovers- these situations are mostly a shared endeavour between family and the carers! There is a bug in messaging on iOS 18.4 rendering the messaging platform unusable. Update please!! ### 3/5 — Password login still an issue *2023-11-09, version 1.18.2* I can see old negative reviews for which most complaints appear to have been fixed. But why do you still have to log in with a password every time? Implement fingerprint recognition please. ### 3/5 — Useful but a pain *2022-07-26, version 1.17.0* Clever idea but would be better if we could remain signed in for 24 hours at least. Would be even better if the care company read and replied to messages. ### 2/5 — Works, but very basic. No frills *2022-02-07, version 1.16.0* I use this app to keep an eye on my Mum’s care, it’s good to know what time her carer came and to read the notes. The app works but the pull down to update does nothing. You need to close and log in to the app every time you want to use it. To make it more annoying, there’s no fingerprint or Face ID so the password is needed. ### 1/5 — App waste of time *2022-01-01, version 1.16.0* I have just downloaded this App to view my mums care record as I am not happy with the record keeping of the carers and after signing up and registering my location it keeps telling me that the QR code has failed as it does not recognise my location. The care agency won’t email or print a copy for me and says I have to use the App. I’ve told them it fails so I’m now unable to view my mums care. A complete waste of time and not worth downloading. ### 1/5 — Utter rubbish *2021-12-24, version 1.16.0* Freezes and denies access constantly not what you need when trying to deal with a sick patient : back to a hand written record ### 1/5 — Not working well *2021-12-10, version 1.16.0* Rubbish, sold a service that comes with monthly fee not with it but no option to shop around. App keeps freezing only solution seems to be to uninstall and re install it. Spoke to support at Pass and they suggested I uninstall and reinstall. Doing that 4 times a day if I want to check notes after every visit! The company that provides my mums care told me after I tried opening conversation and leaving notes that they do not monitor the system so it is not possible to communicate with them. But even if I could read the carers notes after their visits it might seem worth the money but currently it’s useless. ### 1/5 — Constantly Freezes / Crashes *2021-09-11, version 1.16.0* I have to switch my iPhone off and back on again to see the notes for each visit as it freezes each time when either updating or logging out.
