## What is OpenPOS?

OpenPOS is a point-of-sale app built for restaurants — fast at the counter and at the table.

### 1.5 — 2026-09-21

Improved Moby5500 contactless reader startup to reduce the wait before tapping a card. This update also retains the existing card-reading progress indicators.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-05

Faster tap payments and clearer card reader status:
- Tap payments now complete faster on Moby5500 readers.
- The payment screen shows a distinct "reading card" stage as soon as a card is tapped, inserted, or swiped, so it is clear when the reader is still working and when the payment is being processed.
- Chip cards that carry more than one payment application are now handled automatically instead of stopping the sale.
- More dependable reader setup: the app retries and confirms the reader capability handshake, so readers come online more reliably after connecting.
- Devices that are not set up with a card reader no longer trigger reader scans or reader error pop-ups.
- Added diagnostics that help support trace card reader issues.

This release requires iOS 15 or later.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-14

• Fixed the white strip that could appear along the bottom edge of the screen on some iPads.
• Added support for Zebra ZD411 label printers: kitchen and order labels can now print directly from the app.
• Removed a legacy device-pairing channel and tightened validation on remote configuration, improving device security.
• Internal improvements to build and diagnostics tooling.
