### 1.0.2 — 2026-06-15

What's New in 1.0.2

This release is the biggest update since launch. We rebuilt the GPS map, shipped the OpenSeason shop, gave every round a memory page, and quietly fixed dozens of papercuts you didn't have to report twice. Here's everything.

THE SHOP
The OpenSeason store is live. Tap the Shop tab to browse Birdies-branded gear — golf balls, bucket hats, towels, stickers, the QR code logo sticker pack — all printed on demand and shipped from Printify. Checkout is a native Stripe Payment Sheet now, not a Safari bounce — pay with card, Apple Pay (coming next build), or scan your card with the camera. First-time customers get 10% off + 1.5× points automatically. Promo and redemption codes are honored at checkout, points credit when the order ships, and refunds claw the points back so nobody can game it.

ROUND MEMORY
Every completed round now opens a Memory page — full scorecard, weather snapshot from the day, photos from the round, and a share button. Round Memories can be shared to your friends feed or the global feed. The scorecard is editable after the fact too, in case you mis-tapped a hole at the turn.

TEE PLANNER + LIVE GPS
The course preview has been completely rebuilt as a Tee Planner. Drag the aim point anywhere on the hole and Front/Center/Back distances re-anchor to your drag pin in real time. Per-hole handicap shows on the GPS map dock and the scorecard. A real-time wind overlay turns on automatically in-round. For courses we haven't mapped yet, you can now tap anywhere on the satellite view to measure the distance. Most "wrong distance" complaints from 1.0.1 are fixed — preview F/B distances now compute from the 150 marker correctly, par-3 pins behave, and the polyline draws a clean gap around your target.

ROUNDS YOU CAN ACTUALLY LOG
Logging a round is local-first now. The round appears the second you tap save — no more spinner while the server thinks. You can create a Planned round and Lock It In tomorrow morning instead of doing it twice. Edit Round can now add or remove a course mid-flow. The 3-dots menu on the GPS map gives you abandon/finish/edit shortcuts. Solo rounds get a cleaner end-of-round experience, including a post-complete Square Up prompt for any bets or skins.

TOURNAMENTS + SOCIAL
Joining a tournament from iMessage now works — tap a shared tournament link and you're in, no copy-pasting. An availability calendar overlay shows when your friends are free for a round before you invite. The Community tab has a News sub-tab plus search, and Golf News posts are now visually distinct from Announcements so course updates don't get lost.

SETTINGS + DISCOVERY
GPS Map settings are now discoverable in Profile → Settings — toggle F/C/B labels, units, the wind overlay, and more. A new download-reminder opt-out lives there too if you want us to stop nudging your friends to install the app.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Score-entry reminders only schedule when GPS confirms you're actually at the course, so you stop getting buzzed at home.
- The booking sheet now scrolls properly when a county has a long list of courses.
- Scorecard JSON decoding is tolerant of every legacy shape we've shipped, so old rounds never vanish.
- Course IDs resolve by name when the scorecard and tee-time data both lack one — fixes the "all par 4" bug some of you saw.
- The iMessage extension is signed and ready for the next round of TestFlight.
- Live Activities behave correctly across delegate handoffs.
- Hero images on the course browser are hard-locked to the screen width, so no more sideways overflow.
- Permissive JSON fallback on Tee Planner means a malformed course response no longer breaks the preview.

WHAT'S NEXT
Apple Pay and Google Pay on shop checkout, course-mapping coverage in Texas and Florida expanding, tournament chat improvements, and a redesigned profile.

Thanks for playing OpenSeason. Tell us what's broken — we read every email.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-05-29

NEW: Tee Planner — preview every hole on a satellite map before you play, with the new 150-yard marker to dial in your lay-up.

NEW: Live GPS — in-round map rebuilt for live distances and front / center / back yardages.

The map drag is also way smoother now, and the Apple Maps attribution finally stays clear of your scorecard.

What else is new:
• Booking widget opens inside the app for partner courses — no more bouncing to Safari
• Per-course tees pulled from real scorecards instead of a hardcoded list
• Score-entry reminders only fire when GPS confirms you're at the course
• Tappable friend rows, contact-based invites, collapsible Settings
• Auto-handicap updates as you score
• Course Preview now works even when you're away from the course
• Built-in Report a Bug — tell us when something's off and we'll fix it fast
• Lots of layout, image, and error-handling polish based on your feedback

Thanks for playing Open Season. Keep the bug reports coming.
