I’ve had to walk thousands of extra steps because the application will not end my video or says it was corrupted. Incredibly frustrating to use on the day to day basis. My advice would be to buy a GoPro instead. ### 1/5 — Field notes are impossible to manage on iPad or smartphone *2026-03-03* The app has a glitch every time you press any button in the field notes while reviewing it. Any button you press opens photos from field notes and resets any action you took (filters, notes, photos, status, etc.) it makes a 10sec task last minutes if the glitch ever stops resetting. ### 1/5 — Keine aktuellen Aufnahmen mehr sichtbar *2024-10-22, version 32.8* Die App ist irgendwie fehlentwickelt worden, die aktuellen Aufnahmen werden nicht angezeigt und können in der App auch nicht dargestellt werden. Die Übersichtsseite zeigt, dass aktuelle Aufnahmen vorliegn, zeigt dann aber beim draufklicken auf Aufnahmen, die ein halbes Jahr alt sind. Wen interessiert das? Das ist völlig am Nutzen vorbei und geht besser. Ebenso ist die Desktop-App nur noch furchtbar, ein Klickdesaster. Einfache, native Menüführungen sind weg, die Darstellung des gelaufenen Weges stimmt in der Perspektive nicht mehr überein. Die App ist vom Anwendungsnutzen völlig wegentwickelt worden. ### 1/5 — Open space latest version *2023-08-25* This new update is the worst the app shuts down completely won’t upload the videos is just the worst wouldn’t let you pick and choose how many videos to upload it just wants do a complete upload while failing miserly to do so so frustrating ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2023-03-10, version 7.6.0* Every time I try to log into the app it gives me a download error. I am connected to the Wi-Fi/Data and still doesn’t work. I have tried to contact the company via email and phone. Both methods rarely work. They need to sort out there app and customer service. ### 1/5 — Won’t Upload! *2022-09-22, version 5.2.30* Won’t upload captures even though I am connected to the Wi-Fi and I’m connected to cellular data. Error message repeatedly stating I am connected to neither. Make the app pointless! ### 1/5 — Uploads are awful *2022-07-28* Not everyone wants to upload directly from your phone. The interface should prompt you for your preferences before it starts to upload incredibly large files. You still have a perfectly good sync app with the camera to computer. Take this into great consideration. ### 2/5 — File Management is a total farce *2025-02-05* When everything is Auto Managed, the user lacks the control that they need. ISSUE: Errors generated during capture, resulting in mis-alignment between Sheets and Video. USER CANNOT MANAGE ATTEMPTS TO RE-UPLOAD BLOCKED BY UI, results in “file not needed.” LET THE USER DETERMINE WHICH FILES ARE “needed”!!! LET THE USER MANAGE THEIR FILES LET THE USER EDIT UPLOADED FILES UI is not trustworthy. **Developer response:** Hi there, we know it's been a while since you've left your review, but we wanted to thank you for the feedback about uploads. You can email us directly at LetsChat@openspace.ai? - Brian T. ### 3/5 — Recording corruptions and recording multiple walk through *2025-11-12* For all intents and purposes this app works but when conduction multiple recordings the “Done” button does not work. So i need to press “transfer, skip, then record new recording” in order to start the next recording, when in the past the app just needed me to press next on the recording. Additionally the recordings corrupt way too often, and having to do a 10+ minute walk more than once is just very frustrating. Would you mind emailing us at LetsChat@openspace.ai? - Brian T. ### 3/5 — Would be 4 stars if you fix tracking req’s. *2023-06-24* This app is straightforward for capture control. The main annoyance is that it will not start a capture unless you change location tracking to ‘Always.’ I’ve asked their support team if we can turn that off (no) and their reason noted was so that uploads would move faster and with less interruption. My supers and I just use a laptop to post wall videos, which works great. We all have to take the extra steps to enable location tracking to ‘Always’ at launch and remember to disable it after use. ‘When in use’ would be the more appropriate setting requirement, with a suggestion for ‘Always’ if their reasoning appeals to you for mobile uploads.
