Too many bugs, regularly signed out of one or more accounts, and developer never respond to emails or support contact. Good app when it works but not worth a subscription. May delete the whole thing. ### 2/5 — Luft nach oben *2026-06-24* Ich habe die App früher sehr gerne genutzt und war anfangs auch sehr zufrieden, mit der Zeit sind jedoch immer mehr Fehler aufgetreten, die die Nutzung zunehmend erschweren. Aus diesem Grund habe ich sogar das PRO Abo abonniert da ich die Entwicklung der App gerne unterstützen würde. Leider habe ich den Eindruck, dass sich die App irgendwie verschlechtert, als verbessert hat. Schade weil die App hat schon Potenzial. Ich hoffe das die bestehenden Probleme im Zukunft behoben werden und die App wieder die Qualität erreicht, die sie mal hatte. ### 3/5 — Now A Paid Subscription That Only Covers One Device And The Bugs Continue *2026-06-11* I signed up for the Pro version at the discounted price on my phone. Thought everything was good but the app on my iPad wouldn’t recognize the subscription. Finally realized each device would need a separate subscription; they can’t be shared between devices. I don’t think this is worth 2 subscriptions. ### 4/5 — High potential for greatness *2026-06-02, version 1.18.0* This app has good potential. I really like the integrated timelines from multiple platforms, and that it remembers where you are in your timeline. There are a few features missing, but the dev team seems energetic and motivated. Lately, I have been running into a problem with Nostr. The post always fails with Nostr now. But takes foreeeeevvvvvvver to start, which sort of defeats the point of a social media app. ### 4/5 — Great app *2026-04-25, version 1.15.0* I love how I can consolidate and manage multiple social networks as well as convert website posts to rss feeds. Here’s the one thing that would make this full five stars: Add cross-feed prefetching so that while I’m actively using one timeline (e.g., Bluesky), the app periodically fetches and caches posts for other timelines like Mastodon. Ideally this would be configurable (interval, selected timelines) and limited to when the app is in the foreground. This would prevent Mastodon timelines from appearing empty or very stale when switching tabs. ### 2/5 — Used to be great *2026-04-16, version 1.15.0* I was using this app to ease the need to cross post on multiple platforms, but now that I can’t get Bluesky to work anymore it’s become useless to me ### 2/5 — Wanted to like this but I cant properly cross post *2026-03-02, version 1.15.0* Tried to crosspost a gif to mastodon and bluesky but it gave a error for mastodon (refused to post ) and the gif was broken for blue sky. During the draft stage the gif was a grey box and upon looking up the post on blue sky it only showed the gif as an image. ### 2/5 — Fand die App mal super, … *2026-02-27* … aber die ständigen Anforderungen, meine Accounts wieder neu anzulegen, machten bei der Nutzung keinen Spaß mehr. Schade! App gelöscht. ### 4/5 — Usually works great. *2026-02-21, version 1.15.0* When it works, (which is most of the time) it’s nice to have Bluesky, Mastodon & Threads posts all in one place. My only issue is that one occasion, my feeds don’t come through (they do using the default apps ie. Bluesky etc.) and the only way I seem to be able to get things back to normal is this: uninstall then reinstall the app and go through the login procedures to Bluesky, Mastodon & Threads. A bit of a pain but it works. Overall I’m quite happy with this app. ### 4/5 — Signs Me Out Of All Accounts With Every Update, Share Menu No Longer Works *2026-02-09* As posted previously there are still issues posting to Threads and Bluesky. It seems to almost always get a post through to Mastodon however. But the problem is occasionally it throws up an error message that it couldn’t post to Threads and Bluesky so I attempt it again and then realize it actually made the original post go through to those platforms, so I have to go to them to delete the duplicate post. This is very inconsistent. When the app works it’s a great time saver, but when it doesn’t it adds a lot of additional work to go through. Every new update deletes your log in data for your accounts: Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon. And using the Share Menu to launch Openvibe with an item or link to post no longer works. The app launches but the link doesn’t get transferred over. You have to manually copy and paste it in. ### 3/5 — Good but limited *2026-02-07, version 1.15.0* Every update seems to push me back into the “sign up” flow, when it should be able to remember the accounts I’ve added? I wouldn’t mind having to reconnect them but at least retain the login details securely. And of course, until Threads allows fully open connections, it is limited in terms of everyday use. But it looks good and works fast. Crossposting works well. ### 4/5 — Surprisingly Useful (except for Threads & Bluesky) *2026-02-02* As posted previously there are still issues posting to Threads and Bluesky. If they sort this OpenVibe will come into their own. That said, this works best as possible given the restrictions. Smaller niggle. I don’t use it often (due missing Threads)… I find I have to log into ALL MY accounts each time I come to use it. Well every few weeks in reality. ### 3/5 — Getting there *2026-01-16, version 1.14.0* OpenVibe is an interesting tool. I like it, but it’s still flawed. The developers have some challenges, but progress is moving forward. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Don’t need another useless subscription in my life *2026-07-22, version 1.24.1* This was actually a pretty good app to use for the most part. A little buggy with Bluesky crossposting, but other than that, it *was* a solid app. The reason this is getting a one star is because Openvibe is now moving to a subscription model. I understand that the app needs to make money to maintain it. I would’ve been more than happy to make a one time purchase to buy the app. That’s not good enough for the developers, so they wanted to charge a subscription. Not everything in life needs to be a subscription. You can apply all the discounts you want; a subscription’s a subscription. Will look somewhere else for crossposting. Goodbye!👋 ### 1/5 — Now costs money for more than 2 apps *2026-07-02, version 1.22.0* Not very useful for free with the main feature now locked behind a subscription. Won't bother using it. It’s very weird and unreliable ### 1/5 — Not actually open *2026-06-16, version 1.20.0* Having multiple profiles used to be a basic part of the app. Now it’s been locked behind a premium subscription with no warning. Complete nonsense from a so-called “open” app that doesn’t even publish its source code! ### 1/5 — Works Well (depending), Not Worth It *2026-06-06, version 1.19.0* So, it worked quite well on Android and iOS, the mac version is just the iPad version (not scaled quite right but fine). Still worked well, until they introduced a monthly fee, to access FREE services. A 1 time fee to pay the developer for their time would be 100% fine, but a monthly subscription to use free sites… please. Uninstalled. There are better alternatives. ### 1/5 — Locking existing features behind a paywall is sleazy *2026-06-01, version 1.18.0* The new update adds a pro subscription, and instead of just adding new features for the subscription, it locks existing features behind a paywall. Free accounts are now limited to 1 profile and 2 accounts. Both were unlimited before. I got no advance notice of this change, and now I have to choose which of my 5 accounts across 3 profiles I want to keep in the app. And they added a branded tagline to cross posts for free accounts. I get that you need to make money, but paid features should be extras, and if you can’t make the app faster and more reliable and add missing features (like muting and bookmarks among others), then it’s not worth paying for. ### 1/5 — Auch nach Login-Fix ist kein Login möglich *2026-05-30* Auch nach den Fix ist es nicht möglich sich mit einem eurosky account einzuloggen.
