## What is OpenWatch?

OpenWatch shows the security risk around you in Nigeria, live.

Open the app and see verified security incidents within your radius: kidnappings, armed robberies, terrorism, communal violence, protests, scams and more. Each one sits on the map with how far away it is and how recently it happened.

What you get:

• Your area at a glance. A clear read on the risk around you, from Low to Elevated to High.
• Real incidents, not noise. Every report is sourced from public reporting across Nigeria, then deduplicated and located before it reaches you.
• Set your radius. Look 2, 5 or 10 km around your location.
• Tap any incident. See the type, location, distance, date and a short summary.
• Built for Nigeria. Coverage spans all 36 states and the FCT.

For residents who want to understand their neighbourhood, travellers planning a route, logistics and field teams moving people and goods, journalists, and security professionals.

Location is used only while the app is open, to show incidents near you. It is never used to track you and is never sold or shared. Full policy: openwatch.ng/privacy
