Please add landscape orientation for larger text rendering in charts. ### 4/5 — Clean but issues with some buttons *2026-03-07, version 1.2.2* Really simple and clean app. Just having an issue with some of the buttons such hamburger icon for the settings doesn’t work a lot of the time. Also the same thing for daily if you tap a day and try to click the hamburger icon to bring it back to how it was, it doesn’t work as it should ### 4/5 — Pretty good overalll *2026-02-24, version 1.2.2* Can’t argue with the price, and it does do a good job. I work outdoors, and compare a few of the apps, this one often matches the real weather quite closely. For sure it’s a little sparse on the data available, but then it’d probably need subscription fees to improve that, but it shows enough, so that’s OK. Two constructive criticisms: it could do with saved location improvements. It really needs landscape mode - especially on an iPad. It’s certainly worth a download, and installing on a phone. I run it alongside the standard Weather app, which gives me good enough forecasts for my needs. One final suggestion, if it’s doable, would be to have it link to the Apple Watch. Overall though, it’s very good. ### 4/5 — „KI“ endlich abschaltbar *2026-01-26* Trotzdem fragt man sich, wer auf die „großartige“ Idee gekommen ist, in eine Wetter App eine „KI“-Chat-Funktion einzubauen. Zumal dieser Chat so gut wie nichts konnte. Aber selbst wenn - so etwas ist einfach völlig unnötig! I chose it for its minimalist interface and because it doesn’t automatically try to refresh when you don’t have internet access. I was really disappointed when I opened it today and found an AI chat feature that cannot be removed. Why would I want to chat about weather in an app I chose for simplicity? I’ll be uninstalling it and looking for something else. 😞 ### 2/5 — Ai assistant *2026-01-22, version 1.2.0* Why does this app need an AI assistant that permanently visible overlayed on the bottom right corner of the app? OMG. let me get rid of it. How amazingly useless that feature is. Apart from that. Great app. Thanks for making it. Apple's official weather app has so much visual garbage, and frustrating to use. ### 4/5 — It’s Free *2025-11-17, version 1.1.9* Open Weather is a pretty bare bones weather app. It seems to be accurate. It doesn’t seem like the developers are putting a lot of work into Open Weather judging by the change log. Updates are infrequent and the app lacks radar. I don’t know if it actually does notifications or not yet. It is free but so is Apple Weather. One review said that Open Weather was the new Dark Sky. Also das was ich von einer Wetter App erwartet. Den 5 Sterne Beitrag gibt es wenn die App nachgefragte Features wie Landscape Mode nach liefert. I love the layout, very simple to read with everything you need to know on one page. The only improvements I would ask for are better looking widgets, Apple Watch integration, and weather event notifications. But the various icons for sunny, cloudy, rainy etc aren't easy to differentiate. The "few clouds" symbol looks almost like the "rain" symbol. And why is the sun even included on a symbol for rain? "Overcast clouds" looks the same as "drizzle". And what's the difference between a "shower rain" and "rain"? The symbols should be easy to differentiate at a glance. The only symbol clear in its meaning is the one for sun. And lately it has been WAY off on temperatures! OW wins hands down. I could be outside, with Apple confidently telling me it is sunny and clear. OW in turn, accurately informs me that it is snowing. I have turned to Open Weather as the only reliable weather source. I know that weather forecasts are based upon science but those doing the predicting have zero control over the climate. That is the reason we can’t have perfect weather forecasts. However, OW shows that we CAN expect-and receive predictions that are reliable! ### 5/5 — Brilliant *2025-01-01* The app is great, the accuracy impressive.
