## What is Operation Dynamo Archive?

Operation Dynamo Archive brings together digitised records, vessel logs, personnel indexes and first-hand stories from the Dunkirk evacuation of 26 May to 4 June 1940.

Search the archive by person or ship, browse source collections and featured documents, explore T.124 agreements and award records, and examine famous Dunkirk stories against the surviving documentary evidence. The interactive record map helps researchers follow reconstructed voyages, known ports, unsuccessful attempts and recorded losses across the Channel.

Features include:
• Searchable ship and personnel indexes
• Digitised archive collections and featured documents
• T.124 agreement and award records
• Historical stories and evidence files
• Interactive Operation Dynamo map
• Featured archive moving pictures
• Optional notifications when new archive material is published

No account is required to browse the app’s substantial public archive content or use its primary research features. Registered and authenticated researchers can additionally open protected archival documents at high resolution. To protect rights-sensitive source material, the app prevents screenshots and app-switcher previews while this content is displayed.

The archive is intended for researchers, family historians, educators and anyone interested in the people and vessels connected with Operation Dynamo.
