## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ineffective

*2025-04-06*

I downloaded the app to manage my OPNSense firewall, but it never connected successfully. I tried two different APi keys. In addition to not connecting, the app didn’t provide any troubleshooting data. This made it impossible for a user to determine why or wasn’t connecting.

### 3/5 — Needs to be updated

*2026-07-18*

Can’t change rules in latest opnsense release

### 3/5 — Very limited for now, but lots of potential

*2025-05-20*

This is app is pretty new and therefore it’s quite limited in functionality for now, but the idea of a native iOS app for managing OPNSense is very exciting. Some key improvements/features that I’m asking for are:

1. CPU temp graphs on dashboard
2. Improved ability to view and manage DHCP leases, showing host name, interface, etc
3. Ability to manage static DHCP mappings and other DHCP settings
4. Ability to manage native firewall and NAT rules (not sure if possible with api)
5. Support for Zenarmor, crowdsec, Wireguard, adguard home, and other plugins

### 4/5 — Version 26

*2026-03-29*

App looks like it could be extremely useful however a few functions are not working correctly with the latest version of OPNsense

### 5/5 — Finally

*2026-03-19*

I’ve been using my mobile browser and it was a pain. This app is great. Easy to set up. If you’re confused about the API thing… your key AND secret get generated at the same time. Save it. It saves as a txt file and literally says
key=xyz
secret=abc

### 5/5 — Excellent app to manage OPNsense on the go

*2025-09-29*

The app is clean and well structured, easy to manage the firewall and view logs

### 5/5 — Works perfectly for me

*2025-09-29*

Not sure what people expect from an app. I can manage most things fairly easily. The API connection is a bit confusing initially but it is easy once I figured out that I needed two api credentials

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2025-08-25*

This is a brilliant app well worth the money thank you for building such a great app.

### 5/5 — Impressive

*2025-07-31*

I've in the process of replacing my Asus router/firewall with a passively cooled mini pc with OPNSense installed and missed the usefulness of the iOS app for Asus routers but hated the fact that remote admin login would be enabled on the Asus in order for the app to work. In these security conscious days, I feel much happier with OPNsense for my home network and this app will only improve that.
It's clean and well designed, definitely worth the money.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2025-04-08*

I purchased this app to support the developer after seeing it mentioned on Reddit. I manage a few OPNsense installs and none of them are public facing so this wouldn’t achieve much day-to-day, but i can see it being a really useful tool when on site visits. All the basics are there and the developer has done a really good job with styling. Only criticism is that it doesn’t seem to fit on the screen perfectly, you have to scroll left and right to view some things rather than it scaling to the screen. That’s not an issue though and i find it a really good app. Playing around with it for my home OPNsense box and I’m pleasantly surprised by the capabilities the developer has added to the app. 100% worth the £3.99 and the dev has done an awesome job!
