They literally scam your money and the customer service doesn’t care because that I show they get paid! ### 3/5 — Love the Service. Hate the App *2023-04-11* Fabulous experience every time I use Opoli from south OC to LAX and return. Great drivers nice cars good price. But the App is so buggy I’ve never been able to successfully transact business without calling the 800 number. Very frustrating. Todays issue iOS display right rail cut off. No way to sign in as it’s blocked by camera on the phone. Basic bad UX. Fix it!!!!! The app experience is so bad that sometimes I just go Uber to avoid the tech problem. ### 2/5 — App doesn’t work *2022-09-11* If you’re using the app at LAX, there’s a banner that covers the bottom third of the screen and doesn’t have a close button, so you’re unable to order a ride since the app interface is hidden behind the banner. Bad app, literally (not figuratively) unusable. ### 1/5 — Abandoned at LAX *2022-04-19, version 5.2.9* They are supposed to monitor flights. They don’t. In my case I was already standing outside on the curb and only then did they hire a driver based in Anaheim. Waited on the cutb for over an hour. That’s not what I pay $100 over Uber for. ### 1/5 — Fraudulent scam *2022-03-19, version 5.2.8* This is a scam. Advertised a sign up promo on Google ads but didn’t honor it. The app glitches so that you can’t see the promo take effect until you already ordered a ride. Actually fraudulent ### 1/5 — Yep, they got me too *2020-10-15* Why are the schedulers inventing their own arrival times with some made up estimates and then acting like they can’t hear when you’re on the line to get picked up? Because I didn’t read the reviews and I tried to book through PrimeTime. When I saw the mistake and attempted to update the pick-up time within the designated six hours before, I get “can you hear me now?”. Too bad they don’t honor their own policy. Unacceptable and never again. ### 1/5 — Terrible, not convinced it’s even real *2020-10-14* I downloaded the app to compare to Lyft and Uber at LAX. I only tried it because LAX had them as a pickup rideshare option. The app kept cycling through various “drivers” never actually connecting to anyone. The app was SUPER janky and awful to even cover basic functionality. I eventually just deleted the app then cancelled my credit card I added to the app, just because the feeling it left me with. No Apple Pay option or any thing to feel like payment info is secure. It was too awful of an app for me to believe it’s a real company. ### 1/5 — Felt like a scam *2020-03-09* Arrived in Los Angeles and went to the Rideshare parking. The guys directed me to what seemed like a bunch of folks that were manually assigning rides. All in all it would be ok but I have an account and did not want to wait in line for folks to assign the ride. The app never found me a ride and I learned that in this location I had to go to an agent. Found and UBER and I moved on. Misleading. ### 1/5 — yuck *2020-02-21, version 5.1.3* buggy app, doesn’t work. you’ll be waiting over 20+ minutes for a drive for how often drivers will just skip over your ride. “quick” ha, what a laugh. ### 1/5 — What a waste of time *2020-02-07* This is bad. Just bad. I thought hey why not give the little guy a try? I’ll tell you why not -because it will just continue to send your request to every driver in the world and never actually give you one that will come pick you up. I’ve tried multiple times with multiple fails. Don’t go live with your app until it works people. You’re just losing customers. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 ### 1/5 — This app is a lie *2019-12-28* Downloaded the app for a ride from the airport - prescheduled my pickup, entered flight information, etc., all as directed. When I arrived at the airport, the app told me it’d be 20 mins until my ride. Slightly annoyed, I waited, only to get a notice at 20 mins in that it would be ANOTHER 40 MINUTES until I got a ride. This app is a scam. Don’t buy it - it’ll waste your time. Better off going with the more expensive, but much more reliable, uber and lyft ### 1/5 — App full of bugs and no drivers *2019-10-26, version 4.5.3* The app is like an early beta version, full of bugs and often non-responsive. Tried to get a driver at LAX - didnt work. Will stick with Uber and Lyft, until they do their homework. ### 1/5 — Useless *2019-05-01* Not sure what this is supposed to do; it has Uber-like screen showing ride share vehicles but they don’t move. It shows what looks like a wait time (as in “6 minutes” or whatever) at your stop but apparently has no relation as to when driver is actually going to arrive. Instead you have to rely on driver calling you and telling you he’ll be there “soon”. **Developer response:** We're really sorry to hear this. It is well below the standards that we look to set here at Opoli. Would you be able to provide us your reservation number so that we can investigate this issue further? Kind regards. ### 1/5 — Don’t fall for it! *2019-04-20* Opoli makes you think you have a reservation, but you don’t! About an hour before your scheduled time, they try to find a driver and if they are not available then you don’t have a ride. First time I tried it, a beat down airport shuttle showed up (driver said the company is terrible). The second ride (and last straw) they tried to give me a shared ride 30 minutes later than requested, essentially leaving me stranded at LAX... to call a legitimate ride service. App deleted and filed a chargeback disputed with my credit card. Way more expensive than Uber/Lyft but essentially the same service (sometimes available, sometimes not) disguised as a personal reservation. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App garbage *2026-07-25* I thought to have this app as an option for my LAX transportation needs. After downloading, the app is so slow. For name entry it took 60 seconds to let me type first name. When I clicked to next field nothing happens and I’m unwilling to wait for this garbage app. ### 1/5 — ATTENTION ALL CALIFORNIAN RIDERS Don’t do it *2025-05-12* Def just got finessed out of my money trying to avoid Lyft and Uber price surge. Opoli took my money and no driver is available. Called customer support to ask how I go about refunding the money that was clearly taken out my acct, the rep just kept saying “call your bank call your bank” I couldn’t even get a sentence out. He said hopefully it’ll bounce back to your account but we don’t see a transaction. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-03-24, version 5.7.1* Made a booking two hours in advance and was notified by text that my ride was cancelled. ### 1/5 — Drivers cannot be trusted *2025-02-18* Don’t use this service for any urgent business where reliability is a must. I made the mistake of having my son book a taxi ride a day in advance for a ride from the great neck area in NY to La Guardia. The driver cancelled at the last minute leaving him in a crisis. Mother***ers. I filed a complaint with NY taxi regulators and they did nothing. Don’t waste your time with these clowns. ### 1/5 — Scam DO NOT USE *2025-01-07* Tried this because LAX had signs for it and gosh if I could leave 0 stars I would! I’m out $80 because I tried to get a ride, it charged me twice and the driver refused to accept the ride. It kept going to the same drive and kept getting rejected. Well now I’m out the money and when I contacted customer service they said “you should have reserved a driver in advance and that I’d have to wait 7-10 business days to get my money back” I don’t have 7-10 business days and now that it ate all my money I’m stranded at the airport. Worst app experience of my life. Just avoid and go with Lyft or uber ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2025-01-02* I reserved a car to get to the airport. I chose a pickup time of 6:30. I then received a text confirmation that the car would pick me up at 4:30. I went back to the app and sure enough, it has me set to be picked up at 4:30. I tried several times to change the time to 6:30, which the app allowed, but again, the confirmation text had 4:30 and the app would again say 4:30. I finally called the customer service line and after they tried, unsuccessfully, to change the pickup time, and after some back and forth, they realized the app was displaying everything in Pacific time, while I am in Central. Okay, that’s great, but then isn’t the driver going to see 4:30? Mind you, nowhere in the app or in the texts is it stated which time zone the time displayed is in. I canceled the ride, was charged $5.00 for the privilege of using their poorly written app and wasting 30 minutes of my time. If you’re on the West coast, great. Any other time zone? Stay away until they fix this. ### 1/5 — LOL - how is this company operational *2024-12-12* Dear marketing and BD teams - why in the world would you make a deal with one of the largest airports in the whole of the US if you have a total of 2 drivers available (who won’t accept rides). They kept cycling me though the same driver even though they had already denied the request. Ya’ll are wild for executing such a big partnership without the drivers to back it up. ### 1/5 — Only 1 driver for all of LAX? *2024-09-22, version 5.6.4* He wasn’t responding so I cancelled but when I requested again I got the same guy. Who still didn’t respond. No wonder no one else was waiting at the Opoli rideshare pickup. The best part is the $34.69 “preauthorization” charge made on my bank account three times. DO NOT PUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFO INTO THIS APP ### 1/5 — Didn’t Work *2024-09-09, version 5.6.4* Endless wait time, didn’t connect to driver. Had to take a taxi in the end. Waited over 25 mins and then said, forget it. ### 1/5 — Wish I Could Give 0 Stars *2024-03-17, version 5.5.8* This stupid and pathetic ride share held $39.75 twice and never scheduled a ride. No telling how long I’ll have to wait to get my money back. It's just a tracking app for connected drivers - using 'luxury' as their pass for LAX curbside parking. 45min wait with a confirmed pick up time- ### 5/5 — Great ride *2022-03-07, version 5.2.6* I used this service for a ride to a tiki bar for my husbands birthday. Driver was prompt and car was spotlessly clean. I loved being able to book ahead. I will use them again. ### 5/5 — Top Notch! *2019-06-03* Got worried w/ few nasty reviews as we had a 3am pick up & was concerned about a ‘no show’ as one review mentions. The Opoli CS Kerry Perez assured me that I will get notified in advance (I did). Driver Saeed showed up 5 minutes early w/ a very pleasant demeanor for early morning w/ a big clean SUV. It was 👍😍 So I highly recommend. Have used GoSedan in past (part of same umbrella co.) w/ great results but then got comfy using Uber/Lyft to save a few $$ but sometimes got ripped off w/ nasty surcharges & occasional iffy cars. I did yesterday and I really did see the difference between their service and other provider's.
