### 2/5 — Works on Older iOS System

*2024-04-06, version 4.0.1*

App crashes on iPad Pro with iOS 17.4.1 but works with iOS 12.5.7 on old circa 2013 iPad Mini 2. Oppo stopped supporting this app years ago.

### 1/5 — iOS 14 app crashes

*2020-11-17, version 4.0.1*

The app crashes for me, as well, on iOS 14- both iPhone and iPad.

### 2/5 — Junk

*2020-11-01, version 4.0.1*

I rarely write bad reviews but while my Oppo player is amazing the iOS app barely works. I use a NAS to store files. When I try to access the NAS directly I can get to the actual files but when I click on one the app dies. When I try to use the media server that the NAS had built in I can only play a single file at a time and after a short period of time it disconnects and I have to restart the app. The same app on Android works fine.

### 4/5 — Crashes on iOS 14

*2020-09-17, version 4.0.1*

Please update the app so it works on iOS 14

### 3/5 — Problem

*2020-05-29, version 4.0.1*

What happens with the app? I can’t access Tidal.

### 1/5 — Goodbye Tidal

*2020-02-24, version 4.0.1*

Tidal as a source simply disappear. Ok is and “old” model with no actualisation but this is
too much.

### 1/5 — completely worthless

*2019-12-31*

using Tidal, this app constantly stops playing sound but keeps playing the music through the bd105. so it’s like listening to a radio station with bad reception. however the bd105 does this when playing cd’s too so i’m going to start investigating that issue as well with oppo.

### 4/5 — Better

*2018-12-08, version 4.0.1*

As of December 2018 this app works ok with my QNAP NAS drive. Occasional glitches but only usually after dipping in and out of folders
Sadly it doesn’t do gapless playback.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2018-11-20, version 4.0.1*

Still emailing back and forth with tech support after three days, and it still simply won’t recognize my Oppo player. I give their tech support credit for trying, but their app developers get an F.

### 4/5 — Update! please!!

*2018-11-04, version 4.0.1*

Update, please!

### 2/5 — CAUTION regarding this OPPO APP!!

*2018-10-31*

With MQA and HiFi streaming files all the rage (Fall, 2018), you may be thinking about picking up a used OPPO BDP-10X, or BDP-205 and using this app with TIDAL.

Move along, nothing to see here. This is the buggiest piece of software I run on my iPhone and at least once every 1-3 hours of streaming playback on my BDP-103, I need to crawl under my equipment and pull the Less-Loss Signature cable out of the back of the OPPO to do a cold boot of the player.

Still hoping that you can get excellent DACs by buying a used OPPO player and use this app for Tidal? Fuhgeddaboutit!! Notice the app has not been updated for more than two years. NOR has the BDP 10X firmware, regardless of what OPPO says about supporting their equipment even though they have ceased manufacturing.

You have been warned.

### 2/5 — Cant use when plays turn off

*2018-03-18, version 4.0.1*

When turn off players it is cant turn back on i need use remotes to turn it on and then can connect to use it that sad for nothing use ads need fixed

### 1/5 — 2015 version in 2018? PLEASE UPDATE!!!

*2018-02-10, version 4.0.1*

I love my OP-Pohjola player but both the IPhone and IPad apps are horrilble!!!
They have problems connecting, cannot shuffle my playlist, etc.
You can do BETTER than this!!!

### 1/5 — Still Crashing After All These Years

*2017-11-20, version 4.0.1*

The new v4.0.1 version released in November 2017 (but dated November 2015) crashes on launch on my iPad 2 running iOS v9.3.5 when I try to control my OPPO BDP-105D. The 105D is a great machine, but its utility is limited by this utterly useless app.

### 2/5 — Just got a Nov 2015 update for iOS 9?

*2017-11-18, version 4.0.1*

Got Nov 2015 update for iOS on Nov 17, 2017. What's up?

### 1/5 — Been using this app daily for years then came iOS 11

*2017-10-07*

I have been using the Oppo app successfully with Tidal now for at least two maybe three years now. After downloading the new iOS11 I can pair with the Oppo and select a song but it will not play. It’s is if the buttons for play are frozen? However, it will allow me to select songs and move around within the app but again the music will not play? Today it allowed me to see the player on the screen but would not play music. This was one of the main reasons I had to buy the oppo 105D. Not sure what to do now with my $1200 player!

### 1/5 — Not Quality

*2017-07-01*

Amazing that Oppo allows this app be associated with their name, which is know for high end audio and video. I have become so frustrated with using it that I just texted my AV guy and asked what else I can buy that actually works. Obviously, Oppo does not read or care about these reviews or the apps for their products.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App no longer working

*2023-11-26*

Not sure what happened but the app is no longer working. When it attempts to start and connect with player it shuts down. I guess there is some cell software compatibility that is no longer supported.

### 1/5 — Oppo Player is great. The app, not so much.

*2023-05-14*

I have been using the app for months without issue, but now I get a “client not found” message when trying to use tidal. Neither Oppo or Tidal seem to care. Stinks because it sounded great while it was working. I doubt any one from either company will resolve this, but I figure I will put it out for others to read.

### 1/5 — Crashes - obsolete.

*2023-01-01, version 4.0.1*

I was hopeful for this app, and it configured OK, but then simply crashes. Unfortunate!

### 1/5 — No file access

*2022-05-28, version 4.0.1*

Remote app works, but will not access the USB hard drive. Worked for years with
my Apple 5S, but not with my SE. Please update!!!

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2022-05-25, version 4.0.1*

Does not connect!

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2022-03-31, version 4.0.1*

I can’t even get the app to stay open for more than 10 seconds. It used to work now it’s permanently broke.

### 1/5 — Was pretty good - now Dead

*2022-03-28*

I understand a lot of people weren't pleased with this app. I never had any issues with it and loved the way it gave me access to all my files as well as TIDAL, all from my couch. Now it crashes upon opening. I assume it desperately needs an update and I’m guessing Oppo Digital, which is now a phone company, doesn’t want to put funds into a dead end division. Nonetheless, I wrote them, hoping someone will update the app at least one more time.
Hope springs eternal…

### 1/5 — Oppo REALLY needs to update this

*2021-02-26*

Media Control crashes in iOS 14 when trying to play discs. Can’t imagine this is a particularly difficult thing to fix. 5 years since the last app update... When one buys an expensive piece of audio gear, it’s fair to expect a minimal level of manufacturer support beyond the 1st 2 years of its introduction.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-02-14, version 4.0.1*

Looks like they don’t care about older units. No updates or firmware in a long time. The apps (tried them all) won’t find my BDP-103. Although the unit says my firmware is up to date and the app says to make sure I’m not sure it is.

### 1/5 — IOS update breaks app

*2020-12-18, version 4.0.1*

After latest IOS update app will no longer connect to Blu-ray player at all. Still working OK with Android version. While working, there were plenty of problems - no updates in 5 years. Love the 105D player. Don't expect much, if anything, from this app. I'll update this if it's fixed. Not holding my breath.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-10-17*

Ability to browse network and select media is great. Great app thank you!

### 5/5 — Oppo is a smarty pants

*2021-05-25, version 4.0.1*

Damn,
I didn’t know my BDP103D could act as a music server. Throw a USB in the back, connect wifi dongle, load the App and it works a dream.
Thank you Oppo.

### 5/5 — Amazing app and easy to use!

*2019-03-30, version 4.0.1*

Amazing app! Has lots of control over Oppo video and audio settings. Was simple to setup as well and app discovers the device easily. I used a static IP address for initial setup.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2016-10-24, version 4.0.1*

This app works for me. Clear as water. Thanks OPPO.

### 5/5 — Nice...

*2016-07-06, version 4.0.1*

Works like a charm.

### 5/5 — Total control of my BDP105D

*2016-06-04*

What more to say? On the fly changes to picture settings without interrupting the movie/video I'm watching is reason enough to rejoice. Access to my handheld media. Plus a virtual remote!

### 5/5 — Great functionality

*2015-12-18*

Took some configuration time in that first I connected the 105D to my home network, tried to get the firmware to update via wifi, but it failed, likely due to weak connection. Going the USB route was easy following on screen instructions.

After restart and putting my preferences back in, works like a charm. IP address also available via Setup menu. HDCD toggle only became available after firmware update. Can't wait to get home and play around w this!

### 5/5 — Works flawlessly

*2015-12-17*

Not sure what could be going wrong for other users. And BTW Oppo’s tech support is extremely good.

I installed this app, launched it, didn’t have to configure a thing.

It works perfectly, does not crash and really does a variety of jobs extremely well - out of the box… recognizing iTunes library, MAC addresses of my device etc. Excellent.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2015-10-03, version 4.0.0*

So flexible. Plays all the high quality codecs.

Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Great for music

*2015-09-30, version 4.0.0*

Store music anywhere - your iPad, computer, phone, refrigerator. If its connected to your network, this app will find it and play it through your Oppo. I have 2,000 CDs that I hardly ever touch. I've loaded them into a hard drive on my desktop computer and call them up using the app on my iPad. Computer/iPad/preamp becomes my poor-man's music server.

Just as easy to switch to Pandora via Oppo by using a couple iPad touches.
