### 1/5 — Worthless

*2018-06-15, version 2.2.9*

This app is a poor mans LinkedIn. No functionality with the basic version. Lot of spam and MLM notices. No way to delete account. Overall disappointing

### 1/5 — Worthless App

*2017-12-27, version 2.1.15*

This a is worthless app that likely just wants to take advantage of people looking for a job by charging them to network with employers. I wasn't even able to confirm the employers in this app existed on LinkedIn.

### 1/5 — Disappointing & Misleading

*2017-12-20, version 2.1.15*

Fortunately I was able to get my money back through Apple. However, its completely disheartening that in 2017 with the abundance choices that are available for services like this, that a company would INTENTIONALLY make canceling or downgrading their services THAT challenging. Obviously shows where your intentions lay...and that’s not to help people. Shame on you.

### 1/5 — Intentionally misleading

*2017-10-24, version 2.1.15*

I finally signed up after a bunch of email invites thinking it was similar to LinkedIn for job searching. It's not. They deliberately mislead you during the sign up process to select the reasons why you are using the app. Networking, leads, job search, and job posting... select whichever ones you want but when you get your profile all you get are 5 people that match your networking interests. That's it. If you want leads, job postings, or open jobs you have to pay and upgrade your profile. Total freaking scam.

### 1/5 — Really Stinks for $5.99 per month!

*2017-06-29, version 2.1.13*

Can't do anything without the app. It's a rip off. You are supposedly able to contact hr directly but it never happened! Not worth it!

### 1/5 — Would not recommend

*2017-06-26, version 2.1.13*

Not user friendly/cannot copy & paste from your own messages and it is difficult to edit messages because of the format they provide. Notifications never come through and customer service is shoddy at best.

### 1/5 — Agree with others

*2017-03-27, version 2.1.7*

I have to agree with other reviews. If you don't pay the $20/month it's useless. I sent two messages and now I can't send anymore. Leads that are given aren't in the areas I searched either. I'll keep it active for now to see if anyone reaches out to me, but other than that it's nothing more than a poor mans LinkedIn.

To those looking to cancel, goto settings and then terms of us. You will notice a few paragraphs down there is an email address to send a termination request.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2017-03-24, version 2.1.7*

This app is terrible. Just a bunch of spam, the notifications settings don't work (to turn them off!) and there's no way to delete your account. I'm sick that I signed up for this junk!

### 1/5 — Hopeful and let down

*2017-03-22, version 2.1.7*

Really thought this app was headed in the right direction, but I find the only connections that can be made are with lead generation companies. I signed up with Opportunity for leads so I don't see why I want to hire a lead generation company. I made a couple of contacts, but they share their experiences and they mirrored mine... tough to make meaningful contacts when you are drowning in a see of advertising, recruiting, and lead generating companies. They need to flush them out so real end user to end user connections can be made. Seems people are so jaded, they won't answer a genuine chat.

### 1/5 — It's just an MLM promotion site

*2017-02-23, version 2.1.7*

Opportunity is nothing more than a way for multilevel marketing hustlers to contact you and get your contacts list. It is not a LinkedIn alternative. There's no way to delete your account, so if you've already joined, just give your profile a cartoon pic and a silly name and walk away.

### 1/5 — Low quality in services to downgrade subscription

*2017-02-20, version 2.1.7*

Having trouble to cancel the subscription, low quality on the leads, Just people offering money

### 1/5 — Not sure the point of this app

*2017-02-07, version 2.1.7*

The website is much more feature rich, and works in landscape mode unlike this app. This app also seems buggy.

### 1/5 — Worthless App

*2016-12-22, version 2.1.6*

I tried giving this a shot knowing it was a new app and would probably not have a lot of job opportunities yet. All of the opportunities that have popped up so far are way out of my location. I have come to the point that I now ignore every email and notification I get from them because they are not in any way close to where I live. Also, not sure if this is related, but ever since I have signed up with them, I have received a lot more calls from spammers, almost one every day. Not sure if they gave the information out our not, but this was literally the only thing I have signed up for in a while and the calls started as soon as I signed up.

### 1/5 — Text Spammers

*2016-12-12, version 2.1.6*

SOMEHOW THESE PEOPLE GOT A HOLD OF MY CELL PHONE AND TEXTED ME TO DOWNLOAD THIS!?!?!?? Apple, please delisit them for spamming.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2016-12-06, version 2.1.5*

Already deleted this app 5 minutes after downloading it. Tried to sign back in after it froze on the 'add your skills' screen and it is telling me I have the wrong password. Not user friendly and the way you add the types of jobs you are interested in does not make sense.

### 1/5 — This app does not provide any real leads

*2016-11-24, version 2.1.4*

Need to cancel my subscription!

### 1/5 — Waste of Time for Job Seeker

*2016-10-17, version 2.1.1*

App (and website) matches any job regardless of experience level (e.g. entry level jobs match to executive, etc.).

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Failed pro subscription

*2020-06-28, version 2.3.7*

This is the second month in a row I subscribed for the pro plan and still my plan was not upgraded and my iTunes card was deducted by you.

I have paid $4.99 twice and I didn’t get the service I paid for.

### 1/5 — Hard Nope!

*2019-09-03, version 2.3.6*

So, I have to pay to apply to jobs? That’s gonna be a “no” for me, dawg!

I deleted this app as soon as I installed it.

### 1/5 — Not a relationship or network builder

*2019-08-23, version 2.3.6*

When I first heard about Opportunity, I bought the PRO version, thinking it would be a great way to get to know other entrepreneurs and find power partners in areas outside of my home. Wrong!

Every message I get asks nothing about me or my business, nor does it offer a chance to connect personally to build a relationship. They don’t even address me by name. They are all about joining or buying from someone else’s opportunity. Personally, I am fed up with being mass-marketed on Opportunity.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone XR

*2019-05-09, version 2.3.6*

Crashes on sign up. Crashes on login.

### 1/5 — Pure and utter garbage

*2019-04-10, version 2.3.6*

Constant upgrades notifications and no “opportunities” what so ever. Pure example of devs just pull feces out of their behinds and selling it. Don’t download don’t waste your phone storage.

### 1/5 — Terrible - feels very Scammy

*2019-03-21, version 2.3.6*

Won’t stop sending me emails after unsubscribing 5x and counting....

### 1/5 — Shady Af

*2018-10-30, version 2.3.6*

I was interested in the app as possibly a nice way to job search. First, it asked me if it could use my GPS, and I said no, but found that it was automatically turned on in the profile settings. The job leads were really spammy and low quality. Yes, I want to work in the insurance industry, but according to the app, that means I want to sell insurance. The same for banking. No, I don’t want to be a teller. The app asked if it could access all of my contacts which made me really nervous. I didn’t like that I had to pay to get better job leads. Hard pass.

### 1/5 — Seems to be a scam (unless you pay the subscription)

*2018-09-12, version 2.2.9*

Useless app. You really have to purchase a subscription for it to work. Don’t waste your time.

### 1/5 — Cancelling - Good Luck!

*2018-08-19, version 2.2.9*

They only allow you to cancel in the app. I forgot my password, requested MULTIPLE password resets to my email (this has been going on for months). The emails aren’t sent (yes, I checked my junk). Therefore, charges continue to occur. I’ve reached out to them directly and their support team won’t process a cancellation.

### 1/5 — MVP / Beta

*2018-07-06, version 2.2.9*

I get this is an invite only release, but asking to download and upload LinkedIn contacts seems like a blatant data broker grab.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent Lead Source

*2016-10-08, version 2.1.1*

Keep the leads coming and now easier than ever with the mobile app! Great job.

### 5/5 — My best staffing tool

*2016-10-06, version 2.1.1*

Excellent way to mass message specific needs for a hiring manager!!! It's fast forwarding my business!

### 5/5 — A.T.

*2016-09-27, version 1.0*

The app lets me know who around me is in need of my services. Pretty cool (and faster) way to network and do business.

### 5/5 — 100% rate response

*2016-09-25, version 1.0*

I'm fairly new to this website but my leads in my network have really been great. The site matched me with the exact type of people I wanted to network with. Any questions i had were answered very quickly, great response rate from their customer support team!

### 4/5 — I think it’s great

*2018-05-31, version 2.2.8*

I see another person rated Opportunity poorly. I think they were critiquing the free version which has little to do with the app, so it’s sort of irrelevant. However this service is great and I highly recommend it and it’s not expensive for what you get in that you can match yourself up with people whom are looking for your services and want to buy them. I did notice on downloading the app that the screen froze during the brief tutorial. So I’m trying it again to see if this is a glitch.

### 3/5 — This sounds like a great idea

*2016-11-10, version 2.1.4*

Unfortunately, at this time my fields and skill sets are not included. I will check back often to see if the app has been expanded.

### 2/5 — Okay I guess

*2017-02-11, version 2.1.7*

I have some doubts about these Asian companies that want a "representative in US/Canada", considering how many of these I have gotten. Do you screen your job posters or is this basically Craigslist?
