## What is Optics Workbench?

Optics Workbench is a local-first engineering calculator for optics and machine-vision work.

Use the Camera Lens Selector to combine camera resolution, pixel size, working distance, and horizontal field of view. The app immediately estimates focal length, magnification, object-space pixel size, theoretical resolving power, vertical field of view, and target height.

See the geometry in a live optical diagram, compare bundled technical lens examples, browse a read-only component library, and generate a shareable report image using the native iOS Share Sheet.
