### 1/5 — Pathetic App and horrible service

I have been using Optimum for so long and by now I can create a long list of issues this service has. Some info on .net does not match with what they actually have in the app. 

Internet speeds are slow as always but they take money out of my account in timely manner. Every time I call a rep, all they push for is plan upgrades so they can make their sale but they hardly help with existing issues. 

I can’t even access all my app features on Optimum app. I had them long time ago and they have been gone since then. I had given up on any improvements from Optimum until recently it got my nerve when I had to move to a new location. Even their move transfer services are bad. Agents give all misleading info.

I got optimum mobile for my whole family and we cannot communicate with each other. Also  my lawyer cannot get in touch with me . Me and my husband are disable i presently do a little instacart to survive for me and my husband and son and family and mother and mother-in-law. I do not get any income other than the few dollars my mom and husband give me. I need a  good service that does not get hacked up and is honest. First this phone that i got from optimum was not new so i know better than that i have to pay 200 a month for service okay i understand i finance the phones i feel i have been had please help me with this or i  am going to complaint to the fcc

They throttle your connection by not allowing u to access multiple connection 2.4/5 at same time if u have 2.4 g device won’t connect to 5 side of the device using runs 5 g side won’t connect the 2.4 through any app or setting have to have them shut down the 5 then mess up the 5 g devices and have resign in to 2.4 they won’t let u run both when in reality all they have to do is flip a tab to shut smart Wi-Fi off but will won’t do it cause more network traffic I’m assuming so shop around the option of have more compatibility for diff devices maybe worth it

One star rating is too high...What’s the point of an app if there is such a lack of functionality. And the information does not fit withIn the screen in order to act on it. Internet, doesn’t show connected devices. Even if you did can you assign profiles to them and selectively block access? Phone, you can partially see voice mail messages and if you select it to play you do not hear the message....no different than the web page. Previously I had Verizon and Comcast apps which are far superior. The version on the iPad omits wi-go. Does Optimum realize they are light years behind?

I’ve been waiting for an app that I can use for my internet service instead of going online. So far, everything looks and works great. I love that I can also access my wifi service to check coverage, connections, and troubleshoot. I don’t know how long this app has been out but I’ve been waiting for it! I will come back to re-examine my review as I use it more

I used autopay with optimum for years. Suddenly, it no longer works. I’ve attempted to change the card in file multiple times and nothing works. There’s also no notification that the autopay payment didn’t get through, so I’m not aware until I get a note saying that my account is past due. 

On top of that, any time I try to make a one-time payment, it tells me there’s a technical issue and the payment can’t be completed at this time. 

I recently had to go and pay my bill in person. In the year of our lord 2022 I had to physically go to a store and pay them.

I was with Suddenlink for years. They switch to Optimum and no customer service. Their call center is outsourced to another country and apparently I had to get my husbands permission to cancel services (FYI I’M NOT MARRIED) after I said repeatedly I wanted to cancel my service. I found better service at a cheaper price - MUCH CHEAPER with another provider. They just wouldn’t let me cancel my service. All in all I’m paying for internet I do not use. Avoid at all costs.

All I need to say is every time I’ve ever had to log onto this app to make a payment, check outages (while I’m on data), this app is ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS, experiencing a problem. There is always some type of technical difficulty happening with the app (not my network). There were 2 different times where I payed my balance, tried using the internet hours later and it told me that my payment didn’t go through, so I payed again and then was charged twice and then given credit instead of a refund during times where I couldn’t afford to lose that much money. I don’t even know what the wifi tab on the bottom menu bar is supposed to be because every time I’ve clicked it (on data, off data, when connected to my wifi) in every possible scenario it has never displayed whatever it’s supposed to display. It’s always either said it’s having a problem or it’s stuck buffering. This app looks like optimum paid a freelancer 50$ to make an app and then never had work done on it since.

I have a two bedroom apartment. When I first moved here a little over five years ago everything was great at TV Internet and Wi-Fi. All the time I got rid of the TV because I never washed and I was just wasting money. The Internet gradually shrunk from my three room apartment to just my bedroom. Now the Wi-Fi is so bad I can barely run my phone I have to use data and I can’t even open up the Support app to pay my bill. I’ve been trying to be loyal when I switch over to Verizon or another provider but I’m gonna have to be loyal to my pocket now. These companies really don’t care about the customer.

The Service is ok but not match for Fios yet but I have believe that they’re trying to get there. They offer gig speed now and I haven’t had any connection issues. The cable boxes have to be reset every now and some of the HD channels are letterboxed. I’m willing to wait it out because I believe they’re trying to get there.
