## What is Optio Education?

Optio is a learning platform for students, families, and homeschoolers who believe the process is the goal.

Instead of grades and test scores, Optio gives young learners a quiet place to capture what they're actually doing — the sketchbook page they started, the recipe they cooked, the coral reef documentary that stuck with them, the chapter of the book they finally finished. Each moment becomes part of a growing portfolio that reflects who they are as a learner.

FOR FAMILIES

• Parents see every kid in one Family tab — recent moments, active quests, learning rhythm, XP totals
• Grandparents, mentors, and tutors can join as Observers — view-only access with kind comments, no admin chrome
• Post Bounties from family members ("read a chapter book this week" → +50 XP) to encourage real-world challenges

FOR THE WAY KIDS ACTUALLY LEARN

Optio treats learning as something kids do every day, not just at school. The journal works for after-school projects, weekend trips, side interests, and dedicated homeschool curriculum alike. There are no scores, no streaks designed to manipulate, no leaderboards. Just a record of practice and the quiet pride of seeing it grow.

• Kids under 13 are managed by a parent account
