With that said I don’t want to leave a bad review however a few things definitely need to be addressed and fixed or it can be costly. First, the app itself has no way to contact IBD for issues/glitches related to the app nor is the link in the App Store a functional link. Second, the apps “strategies” that are given, are often given at random during the day if not after close of the market; nor a notification given that a new Strega has dropped. For those that want to use the strategy or follow along it can be difficult to get in at the given information. Thirdly, the app is riddled with mistakes. Constantly on the “learning” section when a “call” is meant a “put” is stated or vice versa. This is also, and more dangerously carried out, in the “strategy” section. If you look at the recent XOM call debit spread strategy you will notice the strategy says to purchase 2 separate calls; this is not a call debit spread. To some this mistake is not so obvious and can lead to a misunderstanding in how certain strategies work or personal losses. I know IBD strives to provide top quality education and services and I realize these are errors abnormal for the quality of IBDs typical output, and given the young age of the app I am sure will be promptly fixed. **Developer response:** Hi Sailornot, thank you for providing the comments. In regarding your comments on learning, could you reach out to us directly: ibdoptions@investors.com? ### 2/5 — Very raw - needs work *2023-02-24, version 1.0.5* On the surface this could be a good app on a number of levels, but it fails miserably. The strategies presented, once you select, do not display a graph of the strategy even though there is space for it. The market direction indicator never changes even though the market direction changed days ago on the IBD website. The open interest and high volume tables have no date attached so we don’t know if we are looking at old data. I asked for support through the app help section and got no response. But please reach out so that we could fix these issues for you. ### 5/5 — One Request *2023-03-22* Have been an IBD member for years, from the days of print to digital applications. Please, for all that digital offers today make mobile app(s) that are compatible to be viewed on a iPad. IBD Digital, Leaderboard, now Options Trader, when I open one of your apps on the iPad I don’t expect the same confined limitations as on my phone. With IBD and Leaderboard I use the Safari web browser, I do not have that capability with Options Trader. **Developer response:** Thank you for letting us know Ohioian. It also makes working with options really easy due to its straightforward explanations and educational videos. ### 5/5 — Another great and modern IBD product *2022-12-19, version 1.0.1* Have been using the OptionsTrader app and loving it! Great UI and gamification that keeps me coming back. Options are a bit tricky and I’ve always been nervous to trade them but feel equipped with the right knowledge to take action. I appreciate IBD is touching on newer asset options that are more affordable and relatable to my investing path.
