The sign in process alone was clunky, scanning of receipts is rubbish. The app constantly crashes. ### 1/5 — Horrible user experience *2025-04-14* Shockingly poor user experience. Have to regularly reinstall the app because it just hangs eg. SSO based on Entra ID reauthentication if not fully completing them the app just hangs even after restarting app. The entire look and feel of the app is very antiquated. The “Copyright 2012” notice in the Info section says it all. Horribly outdated and in most desperate need for a modern refresh. ### 1/5 — Needs major overhaul *2025-04-08* We recently switched to using this app for T&E for work. For any company considering switching, please first ask them how often users have to delete and redownload the app as the only solve for a bug. Not close the app and reopen, not log off and log back in…delete and reinstall. Then you have to redo the entire setup process. I’m on download 15 probably at this point. I bet there’s a way for them to see how many delete and redownloads they have. ### 1/5 — What a joke *2025-03-13* You sell this app to big businesses to use but your product is rubbish. The functionality of the buttons is completely different in the app vs the Expense website. The server setup couldn’t be more difficult to figure out and use. From its dated and unfriendly mobile UI, to the frequent crashes, the challenges with authenticating with SSO leave me high and dry. I can almost get the work done via the other fusion app (formerly HCM) but few of the screens are optimized for mobile within expenses UI. This should be table stakes for a cloud offering and the delivery is woefully deficient ### 1/5 — Barely functional *2024-02-23* This is a garbage app. It’s glitchy, it rarely works the way it’s supposed to. I think Oracle created it just to be able to say they have an expenses app, but are secretly hoping no one ever uses it. It is more useful Oracle, is this really your best effort? ### 1/5 — Horrible *2023-11-22* My company recently switched from Expensify to this app. It’s been a disaster. The app is extremely buggy and requires significant extra time to submit simple expenses, taking time away from actual work tasks. Where Expensify could easily and accurately scan all necessary info from a photo of a receipt the Oracle app is useless for scanning, all information has to be filled in manually and many corrections require the submitter to go to the web interface. Our traveling salesforce absolutely hates this. Save yourself and your team the headaches and endless calls to your IT and finance departments and use Expensify or other service. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Opportunity missed *2026-07-21* For a company of Oracles size you have wasted an opportunity to provide a good user experience for a basic expense parsing and storage service. Seems to have connectivity issues all the time to a point where it is quicker to manually take images of expenses, upload them and enter all details on the webpage manually rather than use this suposed automated service. Fix your product! ### 1/5 — 1982 *2026-06-12, version 6.1.59* 1982 is calling, they want their App back. This is antiquated and embarrassing for an organisation the size of Oracle. Worst expenses App on the market. While UI has never been Oracle’s strong suit, this app makes Expensify look like 2050 ChatGPT. It looks like it hasn’t been updated since the original iPhone. If you put your phone down for a second in the middle of doing an expense and your phone times out, no matter what you do you get a blank white screen until you delete the app and start the whole process over. Not only does this app make it super easy to log expenses while I'm traveling and things are top of mind, but it's actually kind of fun. Most of my customers can't believe all I have to do is say "taxi ten dollars" or take a picture of my lunch receipt and I'm basically done. ### 4/5 — Not workin SSO with popup *2019-06-24* Where SSO set up with popup screen, its not working. Waiting for 6.1.8 ### 4/5 — Works well! *2014-05-09, version 3.0.1* The app dos what it says. There are more features desired and some limitations which can be resolved in subsequent releases. Credit Card integration is one of the very sought after features among the clients. The limitation of using iExpenses only from one Oracle Responsibility could be overcome. There are people who may need to travel to different operating units and expense things using different responsibilities. Connectivity is not as easy as it looks. Sometimes, it takes some cajoling to get in. However, I can perform most functions of iExpenses from here which is why the 4* rating! ### 3/5 — Basic but helpful *2020-02-14* Helps me keep on top of expenses claims by logging things at time of purchase. UI is a bit challenging - often you can’t see what you’re typing in a text entry field.
