### 4/5 — Missing morning floss

*2026-08-27, version 10.8.2*

Why is flossing suddenly missing from the morning check off routine tasks list. I know the advice is 'at least once a day', but whether that included in the morning should be configurable by a user choice.
As it is ai have to go to history to add it every morning. Very irritating!!

### 2/5 — Premium price, but recent updates broke the core features

*2026-08-27, version 10.8.2*

For what these toothbrushes cost, you are paying just as much for the software ecosystem and the "guided session" promise as you are for the hardware. Unfortunately, recent app updates have made the experience deeply frustrating.

First, they removed the ability to check off flossing and other extras directly during live sessions, forcing users into an annoying manual edit loop afterward just to log their routine. Second, the positional tracking for the guided session is terribly unreliable. It frequently fails to recognize what area of the mouth I am actually in, forcing me to stop, pull the toothbrush away, and wait several seconds just for it to refresh.

When you buy a smart toothbrush for guided feedback, you expect it to streamline your routine, not add friction. Please rethink these design choices and patch these tracking bugs.

### 4/5 — Could do better

*2026-08-27, version 10.8.2*

Wish you had a choice when brushing using the app like removing teeth for those who wear partial dentures as can’t get accurate guild when brushing. Sometimes your brush session doesn’t track either, other than that a like the app but needs some adjustment would be nice to enjoy it more.

### 2/5 — So so tracking toothbrush

*2026-08-26, version 10.8.2*

I like the app, but the toothbrush connection to the phone stinks. Something is wrong with it. The tracking is always off. I have never once brushed my teeth where it tracks correctly. I spend a lot of time going back to one spot where it thinks I’m someplace else. I follow a routine weekly and it hasn’t even figured that out. If you could just put something where I could push on the phone and tell it where it’s supposed to be that would help greatly.

### 3/5 — Cool app not without flaws tho

*2026-08-23, version 10.8.2*

Pretty cool app, with tracking the quadrants and giving you at score with how thorough you are with brushing. Only thing I notice is it seems to be a little in accurate at times. Hopefully this can be improved with an update or
something. Also first time I used
It just didn’t track the time? Idk

### 2/5 — Great app and toothbrush

*2026-08-22, version 10.8.2*

Everything works amazing expect every time I turn on my toothbrush some of the modes disappear and it sometimes gets where I’m brushing in my mouth wrong

### 4/5 — Dark mode

*2026-08-22, version 10.8.2*

Can we please get a dark mode and a dark app icon

### 2/5 — Very buggy!

*2026-08-21, version 10.8.2*

Use the app 3 times a day. It is CONSTANTLY stopping before I finish brushing all areas and tells me I need to do a better job. Not a very reliable app to keep track of your brushing habits.

### 3/5 — Floss reporting and location sensing

*2026-08-21, version 10.8.2*

The most recent version of the app only asks about flossing once a day. I’ve been a religious twice a day flossed and would kindly request that the floss question be asked for every brushing session.

The location sensing favors the left side and frequently it requires lots of extra effort and time to get the system to recognize I’m brushing on the right side, particularly the top right. I’ll be brushing the top right and without leaving the area the location sensor shows I’m brushing on the left side.

### 2/5 — Oral-B electric toothbrush

*2026-08-21, version 10.8.2*

The Oral-B iO6 is a nice electric toothbrush but it doesn’t track the movement with toothbrushes very well what’s up with that that’s my only problem with this toothbrushes it gives you the graph but the graft isn’t very accurate at all I’m very disappointed

### 2/5 — Tracking wrong

*2026-08-20, version 10.8.2*

Half the time when brushing teeth, it tracks the wrong section of the mouth so consequently when you finish brushing and it records which sections you brushed etc it’s then wrong. Tracking needs improvement

### 3/5 — Io 9

*2026-08-20, version 10.8.2*

I was really excited at the beginning, but it is not accurate at syncing, it takes the app a while to figure out where I am brushing. So if I follow the missing points that the up shows I need to brush twice the time where I already brushed.

### 3/5 — App not syncing all sessions

*2026-08-19, version 10.8.2*

The toothbrush is great, but the app doesn’t sync unguided sessions. I followed all the troubleshooting steps several times with no result. The most recent update still didn’t fix it.

### 2/5 — Stick with What Works

*2026-08-18, version 10.8.2*

This used to be one of my few favorite Apps. My dentist noticed the difference when I go for my semi- annual clean and review.

Something changed and I don’t know exactly what. But instead of adding new features, just make sure brushing navigation works. Don’t need gamification. Just need to know how and where I am brushing and is accurate.

### 2/5 — Hamlet vs the power button

*2026-08-18, version 10.8.2*

I have a screenshot of the app telling me “Do not press the power button on the brush during the update” on the same screen as it’s telling me to “PRESS THE POWER BUTTON” with a picture of it brush highlighting the power button. Obviously I did press the power button, but how did this contradiction slip through QA?

I was quite happy when, after a reasonable number of years, my previous io9 brush started feeling like it suddenly wasn’t brushing so hard, because my wife had an Oral-B that lasted for so long that I couldn’t understand how the company could make money. But I’m quite disappointed in having paid top dollar for the bleeding edge io10 brush to have a worse experience than the io9. I was keen to try the guiding with the charging station but it’s not as convincingly detailed as the app and I discovered that I can’t read my phone at the same time anyway because, what do you know, I need to concentrate to get my teeth properly brushed. Now I need to fight the charger every time to let the app do the guidance. Perhaps due to this tussle, the app has become slower to start and unresponsive. The brushing guidance isn’t any better - it still often highlights the wrong teeth, especially if I forget to stand to attention, head up. The mains powered, synchronized clock on the charger is actually the only win, or it will be, if it proves to adjust with daylight savings properly.

How behind the times is Apple, not letting me post the screenshot here? Perhaps I should have submitted my “review” on a Chinese short form video app through the medium of interpretative dance.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible update

*2026-08-28, version 10.8.2*

Impossible to use; time is the only function that actually works. I was happy with the previous version!

### 1/5 — Can no longer log flossing

*2026-08-26, version 10.8.2*

For some reason the ability to log whether or not you flossed has suddenly disappeared from the post-brush screen. It now only shows up occasionally. Please fix this!

I always get the impression that this app is overseen by a bunch of non-technical managers who have zero understanding of how the app works, and likely never use it on a daily basis themselves. It is full of poor design decisions that become glaringly obvious after only a few days of using it. It’s bad UI and bad UX.

Even getting tech support for this app is an exercise in frustration requiring separate Oralb account and making it basically impossible to share feedback on the app itself. I therefore must resort to leaving it here.

### 1/5 — Useless tracking of where you have brushed

*2026-08-25, version 10.8.2*

You brush in one area of your teeth and it records from another area. Dangerously inaccurate as it can make you think you need to over brush. Seems to get worse with each software update.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth doesn’t work

*2026-08-23, version 10.8.2*

The bluetooth tracking often shows the brush in a different area than it really is or nowhere at all

### 1/5 — Missing spotsl

*2026-08-22, version 10.8.2*

Every time i washed a spot it would ignore me and it would sometimes go on another spot 🫩

### 1/5 — Never shows right area

*2026-08-21, version 10.8.2*

What happened to flossing in the morning? Why did that disappear and now only shows in the evening? It shows I’m brushing my upper and lower teeth at the same time which is totally incorrect and impossible!

### 1/5 — Used to Work

*2026-08-21, version 10.8.2*

I loved the app but now it never seems to work right. Not sure if it’s the app or the toothbrush but I never know when it’s going to work right. Very frustrating. And I don’t know what to do to fix it.

### 1/5 — Rubbish App

*2026-08-19, version 10.8.2*

The app lets down a quality product. Zones of the mouth not picked up accurately. This morning recorded 100% coverage - eventually but a score of just 57.

### 1/5 — Never updates

*2026-08-17, version 10.8.1*

My oral -b IO series 5 never updates. The apps say update available for toothbrush but fails. I have contacted support but it hasn’t helped. Save you money and don’t get one that connects to an app. I have the iPhone 16 pro and it is up to date.

### 1/5 — Updated to be Worse?!?

*2026-08-15, version 10.8.1*

Need new app developers to fix this app, current group only makes it worse. Don’t recommend. IDK if they are the worst developers out there, that encompasses a lot of people. But hey, someone has to be the worst. Doesn’t save coverage anymore, eliminated flossing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very practical!

*2026-08-29, version 10.8.2*

This is such a helpful and practical app - it shows you how many days you have left until you need to change your brush head, shows you how long you need to brush your teeth for before switching. 👌

### 5/5 — Oral-B

*2026-08-28, version 10.8.2*

I like how it gives feedback on how I brush my teeth and it really helps me learn how do brush my teeth better and what to improve!

### 5/5 — McCall

*2026-08-26, version 10.8.2*

I love the way the app is working

### 5/5 — Glow up

*2026-08-24, version 10.8.2*

I had teeth cleaning problems but now with this app it helped me a lot thank you Oral-B

### 5/5 — Fun and easy

*2026-08-22, version 10.8.2*

I have sparkly teeth now 🤩

### 5/5 — Good job oral b

*2026-08-21, version 10.8.2*

I like this oral b because I can show you where your teeth are and you can track you and your parents can know if you’re are brushing your teeth in this like achievements you can learn that’s the only thing I say they could add really is like better tracking cause when I was on a different side of my teeth, it put me on the other side, but then other than that it’s really good

### 5/5 — My teeth look good

*2026-08-19, version 10.8.2*

Good

### 5/5 — App

*2026-08-16, version 10.8.1*

App is very helpful to make sure I’m brushing hard enough and long enough

### 5/5 — Connected my Oral B IO series 6 to it and I did not regret it

*2026-08-13, version 10.8.1*

We purchased an Oral B series 6 by the IO series and we connected it and it started giving a feature to healthy your teeth and clean your smiles thank you Oral B and Procter & Gamble health

### 5/5 — Flossing not tracked automatically now

*2026-08-13, version 10.8.1*

I love the app - it’s very motivational. However, I’m finding that since the last update, one can’t log flossing right after a session. You have to go back in to edit the session to log flossing. Please correct this - why the extra steps?
