The problem is my old phone was completely destroyed, which is why I had to get a replacement in the first place. Now I’m trying to restore my apps, but I can’t even reset my password because it requires access to the old device. The transactions are all cramped up unlike the older version was very easy, and self explanatory. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t match online instructions *2026-06-09, version 26.0.1* The app is terrible. The online site says I can use the app to activate a new card and to sign up for Zelle. Neither option is available on my iPad. Also, the new app makes it more difficult to track and search for older transactions. I’ve consider switching to a different bank but I’ve been with the credit union since 1991. This app is definitely a downgrade from previous apps. ### 1/5 — App Update Limits Connectivity *2026-04-29, version 26.0.1* The updated app limits account connectivity to Plaid which every other bank, credit union, financial institution use to connect accounts through the Plaid portal. First it took years for OCCU to join the 21st century and offer Zelle, now connectivity to Plaid is not supported. Great place to bank if you’re looking for a pre internet era type of bank. If you’re looking for a competitive product that offers connectivity available in 2026, look elsewhere. Other credit unions and even the big banks offer a better banking experience than OCCU. ### 1/5 — I hate this bank *2026-03-30, version 26.0.1* Customer service is bad. 90 min wait times and the automated phone service takes 20 minutes to run through just to use the call back feature. Stop making people sit on the phone going through very stupid options that hang up on you and end the call half the time. Also this place leaves pending deposits going for at least 3 days in a row. It’s like a website. I don’t understand what was wrong with the last app it worked fine and was easy to use. They also removed a feature that was very helpful that allowed you to freeze your card yourself! Oh also! They charge you $29 per overdraft item even if it’s like $1! How insane is that? After 8 years I’ve had enough of this credit union. I’ll be leaving soon. All of my external accounts were deleted so I can’t move my money without setting it up again. My transfer to my external account was deleted so my money wasn’t moved on schedule and I have to set that up again as well. Please do better!
