Orbeo is a messenger that does not need your phone number. Instead of a number there is a short Orbeo ID. Only the people you hand it to can find you: the app never reads your address book, never looks people up by number, and never suggests you to strangers. WHAT IS THERE Messages Quoted replies, editing and deleting on both sides, reactions, stickers. Read receipts and a typing indicator, as they should be. Photos, voice, video and files A photo opens full screen. Voice records two ways: hold the button, or tap once and keep talking hands-free. Double-tap the microphone, or swipe up from it, for a square video message from the front camera. Video and files up to 50 MB. Calls Voice and video, your own camera in the corner, switchable to the front lens. Connection quality is on screen: latency and jitter in milliseconds. On iPhone an incoming call is shown by the system, like an ordinary phone call. Groups and channels A group is for the people you know. A channel is for readers, with an address like orbeo.me/c/name and discussion under each post. Three languages Interface, dates and plurals in English, Russian and Kazakh. Everywhere Phone, tablet and computer — one account. WHAT IS NOT THERE No advertising. No third-party analytics and no tracking pixels. Nothing about you is sold or passed on for marketing. Registration asks for neither a phone number nor an email address. PLAINLY, ABOUT THE IMPORTANT PART The only spare key to an account is a twelve-word recovery phrase. It is shown once, at sign-up: write it down on paper. There is no phone number and no email to fall back on, and without those words nobody can return the account to you — us included. Orbeo has no end-to-end encryption. Traffic to the server is encrypted, but messages are stored on the server in readable form — which is what makes your correspondence appear on a new device right after you sign in. We say this outright rather than let you assume otherwise. ORDER Report and block are in the menu of every conversation. Reports are reviewed by a human; an account that breaks the rules is limited or removed. You can delete your own account in Settings, immediately and without asking anyone. Plus minor fixes. ### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-06 More reliable calls: • calls connect faster and no longer drop mid-conversation; • you hear the other person right away, with no silence at the start; • calls are more stable on restricted networks without a VPN. Plus minor fixes and performance improvements. ### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-01 Home Screen widgets: your unread count and recent chats — tap a face to open the conversation. • Choose your app icon: Classic, six colors, plus New Year and Halloween — in Appearance • Appearance: themes, accent color, scheduled night mode, text size • Stories now sit in the Chats header as a compact stack • Translations in the community chat arrive more reliably • In groups: wave hello to newcomers with one tap • Fixed: video messages no longer start playing on their own ### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-28 Share to Orbeo from any app: a photo, a video, a file or a link goes straight into a conversation — Orbeo is now in the system Share menu. • Music and video links play inside the app, no detour to a website • All attachments of a conversation in one place: photos, files, voice notes • Voice and video messages: drag to seek, 1x / 1.5x / 2x speed and a clear play button • A video message keeps playing when you leave the chat: it moves into a small window you can drag around • In your own channels: delete comments and ban people • Fixed: a message sent twice, and calls dropping after a long conversation ### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-25 Browse — a new tab with posts from public channels in one feed. Like a channel? Subscribe in one tap. Nobody can post into the feed itself: only channels publish, and every post can be reported. Calls • The screen rotates when you turn the phone. • Your own camera window can be dragged and no longer covers the other person. • You can see when someone shares their screen from a computer. Forwarding • A channel post is signed with the channel name, not with whoever wrote it. • A photo caption is no longer lost — the text travels with the picture. • Saved messages are called "Saved" in the picker. Small things • Swipe a row in the chat list to delete; swipe harder and we ask right away. • On a long post the emoji row opens where your finger is. • Channel avatars show up in search. • Settings now has a "Rate the app" button. ## Apps similar to Orbeo | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [Переклик — мессенджер](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/id6780266950) | — | Free | Social Networking | | [Слово — мессенджер для России](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/id6762071003) | — | Free | Social Networking | | [Тор – мессенджер чаты и звонки](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/id6780432162) | 3.8 (18) | Free | Social Networking | | [DAOPEOPLE: web3 social network](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/daopeople-web3-social-network/id6483865688) | 4.2 (30) | Free | Social Networking | | [IGG Hub](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/igg-hub/id1637601371) | 1.7 (12) | Free | Social Networking | | [Найти друзей рядом - InParty](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/inparty/id1630175098) | 4.9 (27) | Free | Social Networking | ## More apps by Kirill Prikota - [30:21 — Habit Tracker](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/3021-habit-tracker/id6812742749) - [Paint Mix: Color Sort](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/paint-mix-color-sort/id6813350894) - [Nonogram Kitchen: Color Puzzle](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/nonogram-kitchen-color-puzzle/id6813551631) - [Last Gate: Kingdom Defense](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/last-gate-kingdom-defense/id6815313942) - [Jelly Escape: Tap Puzzle](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/jelly-escape-tap-puzzle/id6815844980) All apps by Kirill Prikota: https://appshunter.io/developer/6811561427 --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
